a good hotel with all facilities

I have stayed in this hotel on business in Oct 12 for a period of 2 weeks.
Whilst this new hotel has much to offer, it is let down by the poor service in the restaurant.
This needs to be addressed in order to warrant its 5 stars. Sort this & it will be fine !

I loved this hotel from my previous stay 1 year ago, during its launch as the 100th Le Meridien in the world. But this time, my room AC did not work, the shower area drainage was clogged, leading to flooding in shower.
They changed my room; shower door seal was not waterproof; water leaked out of shower area; overhead rain shower made a sound like a lawn-mower & did not work at all. The glass on outer wall had lot of dark stains - needs cleaning once in a while.
Very surprising for such a nice hotel brand, just 1 year after opening.
I hope they restore my confidence, with such a lovely hotel & beautiful rooms.

I already stayed two times in the Meridian Coimbatore and more than 15 times in Chennai. Both hotels are managed be the same Management. But quality, service and hospitality is is totally different. Team in Coimbatore is trying the very best, but is it far away from the level of other "LE MERIDIAN" or 5* hotels. Service in the restaurant is very slow, rooms are nicely equipped but the construction is "Indian style" ...
Finally, “The Royal Club” is fully equipped but not open. I claimed this at my first visit beginning this year, too. They promised to open the “Club” within 2 months. When asking this time at the front desk why the "Club" is still closed, I got a short answer from the assistant front desk manager --> Club is only open for "private functions and parties". WOW, that’s the answer you really expect …. “Incredible India” …

Having eaten at Le Meridien whilst on business in April 2012, it was a pleasure to then stay at this hotel in October 2012 for a week.The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and the beds are divine.
The food choice is excellent in the buffet area and really there isnt any reason to book one of the restaurants.
The bar area is relaxing with background music and the staff are very attentive.
Enjoyed the experience, see you again soon !

This is the not the first visit to the hotel but has to be the last.
Restaurant food, even ordering the simplest dishes takes an age to arrive. Limited choice of beverage, one choice of beer from 10 listed on the menu as just one example.
Room bathroom was a disgrace and in some areas dangerous with poorly fitted electrics.
I have photographs to back up my comments that I think you should see.
