Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience My wife and I attended our nieces wedding this past weekend in Tampa. The Le Meridien was the chosen hotel for family. From check-in on Friday to check-out on Sunday the entire Hotel staff was beyond our expectations. Especially Caroline and Taylor at the desk to Steven our bellman and Steve B our shuttle driver. What a wonderful staff. Everyone was "in-tune" with each other. Thank you for all of your assistance to my handicapped wife. You made our stay most enjoyable. June 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Historic building, beautiful hotel The best front desk team I have met in a long time in any hotel. The team made us feel accepted, at home and welcome. They actually cared and were very friendly. The hotel is set in a beautiful historic building. Great location, great drinks. Did not eat anything there so cannot rate excellent (more of a N/A on food). The front desk manager gave us a tour of the hotel and told us the stories that went with the building, really made me excited to spend time at the hotel. Just one concern was found some female hairs in the room in random places (like towels, lamps etc., but not greatly annoying). Love the hotel. June 29, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lovely hotel, but service is lacking... The service at the hotel needs a serious improvement. Housekeeping never showed up to clean our room. After returning to our room at 3PM and seeing they had not shown up earlier in the day I called guest services and asked if they could please have housekeeping come to our room. We left our room and returned 5 hours later to find they still never showed, and when I called down again was told they had now left for the night. The woman at guest services was very apologetic and did try to help by bringing us towels and water, but at a hotel of this caliber housekeeping coming to clean your room is a baseline requirement. Also, the valet parking attendants constantly looked confused as to their job, and though there were at least 2 staffed at all times they were both always helping the same customer before helping the next, complete lack of organization and efficiency. One time the valet forgot to tag our keys, so couldn't identify our car and we had to find and point out our own car to them...really?? The hotel itself is lovely and we thought we had found our new "go to" Starwood property for whenever we are in Tampa, but if the service doesn't get up to par with the level of hotel then we will not be returning. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great place to stay in Tampa Staying in hotels over 150 nights a year I have become critical of comfort and service. This hotel does an outstanding job! Everyone in the property goes above and beyond. The restaurant also has outstanding food. May 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by You have to stay here This hotel is now my place to stay in Tampa. the other SPG hotels are nice but the service, location, and facilities are amazing. Close enough to walk to the convention centre, arena, restaurants and pubs but far enough from the late night scene. Brent Scarbro and his team were so good to us during the stay. Would highly recommend this hotel for business and fun. Pool was great (small but perfect for a quick cool off) and the restaurant had great options. March 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spectacular Staff Going to conferences always has the slightly stressful process of hotel choice: centrally located? how much? best deal? what do I get? If you're visiting Tampa, let me make it easy: Le Meridien. Originally a municipal building--post office plus court house--the interiors have been renovated into contemporary comfort while still leaving the vestiges of old-school symbolic justice. The gray and white granite walls gleam while the original wooden moldings and doors have a polished, official shine. If it still has trappings of the turn-of-the-century (19th not the 20th), the renovations have brought it up to date and offer a sense of unstuffy glamor. One might imagine our Supreme Court justices sitting by the pool sipping Cosmopolitans, or Judge Judy meandering up to Bizou Brasserie in her sassiest Gaultier. Yet, it's the hotel staff who made this visit spectacular. From the time that Aileen greeted us at check-in until Jason allowed us a slightly later check-out (b/c we had a late flight), we always felt pampered. While we had to wait for our room upon our very early arrival, Ahm, the daytime bartender made us giggle and, thereafter, greeted us with appropriate perkiness. Justin, who served at the Bizou coffee counter, waited tables, and ran room service always did so with a smile. Ben, another bartender and Tampite, informed us about the city and kept us entertained. Hotel staff can make or break a trip; those at Le Meridien definitely made our vacation an extra sunny occasion, which says something in Tampa. March 24, 2015
