Rated 4 out of 5 by Not a "Cookie Cutter" Room Hotel Most of today's hotel rooms all look alike. However, the Stoneleigh breaks the mold. It is so nice to stay in a hotel that is truly unique and maintains its historical roots. Each room is different, but has a large, modern tiled bathroom. I really enjoyed having three windows in my room as well as a window in the bathroom. Super clean room, AC works well and keeps the room cool. I am looking forward to my next stay. August 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great rooms; great bar and staff, my interaction with dining room superb My first stay back since majority of install of new features is complete..Outdoor patio with fire pits and pool to come. Great big room on high floor with a plaque on the the wall,mapping out the history. Hotel has come through major renovation while retaining roots and charm of past. I just need my email to ding with a folio for room charges, bit of a pain as corp charges needed to include only room and tax. I promptly got ever other bill, parking, lunch etc Night and afternoon staff at front desk were great. Overall I give a 10 for the experience over last two days. February 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent! We love this hotel! We stayed here last year in November for our first Honeymoon night in one of the suites which was very spacious and quiet. We also stayed again for 1 night in August. The staff is exceptional. We love this hotel - it is one of the very best in Dallas. This hotel has a flair of old world charm as well as being modern - such a great mix! What I like most about this hotel and its staff is the feel of class and sophistication without the usual snooty Dallas attitude. August 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME UPTOWN DALLAS HOTEL!! I am a very loyal SPG member and I have to say that Le Meridien, The Stoneleigh is one of the best hotels I've stayed while in Dallas. I've been to Dallas a dozen times in the past year and have stayed at another SPG hotel. This is the first time and I think I will be staying here for now on during my trips to Dallas!!! I was so amazed when I initially opened the door...the room was beautifully decorated!! I had to take pictures of the spacious room and I posted them on Facebook (I hardly do that!!) Thank you for the great stay! One drawback...$24 parking charge. Otherwise, it's worth the stay! Coming from San Francisco, this hotel really impressed me! September 18, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Judy Garland room Our overall stay at the hotel was great with a couple of minor things to mention. We loved the Judy Garland room but b/c the room faced Maple and was right over the outdoor bar area, I would recommend that the windows need a bit of soundproofing. The evening antics were easily heard from 10p-1a. Good thing I had earplugs...We had a few minor needs but the housekeeping staff responded promptly and the valet team was friendly and prompt. Kudos to this WOM! Looking forward to it when the pool is installed. July 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Charming, Yet Modern - Enjoyed My Stay I checked into this hotel on a Sunday afternoon for 1 night in August 2013 and it was my first time staying at this hotel. Upon check in I was upgraded to a Junior Suite and my experience was wonderful from arrival to departure. The hotel is very charming and when you walk into the lobby it’s well appointed and relaxing, yet also upscale with a touch of a modern feel. I didn’t find anything in the hotel that seemed worn or needing repair. This seemed to be more of a “Luxury Collection” SPG property. The staff were very welcoming and I enjoyed my room very much. The Jr Suite was large and stylish. The air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. I did need to use the business center and they have 2 computers available for use and you can also print. Access and printing is at no charge which is always a nice surprise. The only down side is the construction taking place next to the hotel. Obviously, this cannot be controlled by the hotel. I was on the opposite side of the hotel but could hear all the beeping of the trucks and all of the noise on Monday morning. Once the construction is over, I would not hesitate at all to stay at this property again. August 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The only place we stay We have been staying at the Stoneleigh Hotel since the 80"s. We have tried other hotels but nothing quite beats the Stoneleigh. The location, the staff, the rooms, well heck the whole experience makes us want to visit Dallas a whole bunch. No one will be disappointed!!! July 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by 4 1/2 stars? We stayed here for one night to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful and the lobby/ public areas were very nice. The room was a bit of a disappointment. We thought it seemed small and hot when we arrived with the curtains open and sun streaming in the windows. The room was very clean and the complimentary bathrobe was a nice touch. Why only one robe for two guests? Why only one bar of soap for a sink and a bathtub? Why only two bath towels? I prefer to have a towel for my hair and a towel for my body. That wasn't possible with two people in the room. The handle for the minibar door popped off into my hand when I tried to open it. These things didn't feel like a 4+ star experience. The morning of our checkout the housekeeper knocked on the door at 8 am because we failed to put the do not disturb sign on the door. That was our fault and we let her know we were still in there. She returned 15 minutes later. Very annoying. Especially with check out at noon. Breakfast in the restaurant started off with lukewarm coffee. We had to request hot coffee. The pancakes tasted like they had been made the day before. The staff in the dining room were nice and attentive. The valet staff were also very nice. July 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing Have stayed here on several occasions and has been a favorite until this stay. Upon arrival, the lobby had a faint scent of sewer. Our room was fine, but only one bathrobe. Housekeeping never showed up the entire stay. Our bathroom sink did not drain. We notified the staff about all of these things and they said the right things, "sorry", etc., but for the price of this hotel, we expected better. The bar and the spa, however, were both great. And even though the location is prime, we will likely stay elsewhere next time. Just wasn't the same. Needs a lot of attention. March 25, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by extremely bad experience We travel extensively and we have not encounted an experience as poor as this. We were there 4 nights and had issues every single night Broken bath plug (not repaired after 3 requests) partially serviced room (no coffee supplies, no replaced water) no dressing gown. A completely broken door jam so door could not be locked or closed, a wet carpet outside the bathroom, night lamp bulbs not working. A really unacceptable situation for any hotel especially at $370/night. March 5, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Southern hospitality? Very nice well-appointed rooms. Valet parking attendants were efficient, friendly and helpful. This was not always true for the inside staff. Goody bags left for wedding guests were received by some but not all, partly due to the early arrival of guests. No offer was made to resolve this issue, even though the hotel required a fee to hand these to guests. The breakfast buffet was tasty and fresh, but there seemed to be much confusion with the service (even getting water and your check). Construction issues at this time include no pool and no walkway cover (not a problem until rain upon checkout). Valet accommodated with umbrellas. Overall we had a great stay, but expect more Southern hospitality. June 23, 2014

The staff were very attentive and courteous and the room and accommodations beyond comfortable and luxurious. I was so surprised to be Guest of the Day. The staff - from top to bottom - were marvelous. So many positive things to mention, it was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend. April 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very pleasant experience My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience at Stoneleigh last week. We were in Dallas for a concert at the American Airlines Center. The staff was very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The hotel is clean and the décor is beautiful. We had room service for breakfast and the food was delicious. There was no noise and our stay was very relaxing and peaceful. We will be back. July 13, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by The hotel has declined in service.+ I stay at The Stoneleigh about 4 -5 times a year and many times rent multiple rooms. I live in Shreveport, LA. It took my luggage two hours to reach my room even with two phone calls. The response given was short staffed. That is not my problem but the hotel's problem. I had a Junior suite for me and my wife and two grandchildren age 6 and 9. The sofa bed dad no sheets and we had to ask twice for blankets. We had two towels in the bathroom. July 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Above and beyond... I really appreciated being "Guest of the Day" and thus receiving a room upgrade, four macarons and a $10 food voucher. I think that was a smart move on Le Meridien. It would make sense to upgrade guests if there are rooms available...it creates loyalty and goes above and beyond expectations. February 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel undate is wonderful. We recently stayed for a long weekend at the Stoneleigh in Dallas. The hotel was clean and fresh, the rooms updated with new fixtures, etc and roomy. Although our stay was truly a great experience for the most part, I must add that there was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. I saw the travel shampoo, soap, etc then the clean lines of the bath fixtures and thought that I was in for a wonderful shower, only to be greatly disappointed. Having said all of this, I would consider the hotel again. It is conveniently located and quite clean and fresh… if they only had water. June 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Food Service needs improvement After one bad salad (Ahi Tuna was overcooked) and wrong food order for Room Service, I had thought either the food bill would be dismissed or at least points provided for the inconvenience and error. None of which was done. The Hotel has a cool vibe and wish there was a pool to enjoy. Conveniently located and about 20 minute ride to the the DFW airport. This is still one of my favorite hotels. Rated 4 out of 5 by rooms are dark and had a security issue Although, we DID have a nice stay recently at The Stoneleigh, I have to say that both my daughter and myself found our room to be dark and in need of more lighting at night. Especially the closet. there was no light at all and it was very hard to see in there at night. Another issue that concerned me was that fact that I could not reach anyone at the front desk or security at 4:00am when a man was talking on a cell phone right outside our door for over a half hour. Not have my husband along on this trip we were reluctant to open the door and say anything to the man. I tried calling multiple times to the front desk and got no answer. Upon check out they did credit me an in-room movie charge for the inconvenience (which was a nice gesture) but my real concern was not being able to get security when we needed it. I hate to think if it had been a matter of greater concern. Eventually, the man found his way back to his room or ended the call, but it was a little disconcerting to say the least and woke us from a very nice sleep. October 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Location Loved the hotel, safe area, beautiful lobby, awesome outdoor seating areas and good food. Rooms were comfortable, up to date and service was excellent. Highly recommend and I will be back! Walking distance to many restaurants and love the Katy Walking Trail. July 11, 2014
