Special Conditions
Public Area Renovations
Beginning February 8, 2013, the hotel’s public spaces will be undergoing enhancements. During this time, the lobby and reception area, Piano Bar and Knightsbridge Lounge will be unavailable. There will be a modified entrance to a temporary arrival space and reception. Additionally, guests will have access to a temporary bar area on the first floor. No other areas of the hotel, including the bedrooms should be affected. The renovations are expected to complete by June 3, 2013. Currency Fluctuations
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Hotel Policies
Accessible Policy
The hotel features wide corridors throughout all floors and public areas, as well as three fully accessible Classic Rooms (smoking, king-size bed). In addition, the hotel has one complimentary wheelchair that can be requested in advance. If it is in use, the concierge can arrange the rental of another wheelchair (a fee applies). Alcohol Policy
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room.
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
The hotel does not offer babysitting service. However, we are pleased to provide details on local babysitting companies. Please contact The Luxury Collection Concierge for assistance.
Check Acceptance Policy
Banker cheques are not accepted; however, Traveller cheques are accepted as a method of payment.
Connecting Room Policy
The hotel is pleased to offer a variety of connecting rooms for our guests' convenience. Please contact the hotel directly to request connecting rooms as early as possible prior to arrival, to ensure availability. The same applies to requests for rooms on a specific floor or with a specific view.
Credit Card Policy
A valid credit card is required at check-in for payment of the room, tax and incidentals.
Currency Policy
The standard local currency for the United Kingdom is the Sterling Pound (GBP).
Foreign currency may be used to pay an account, however we regretfully do not accept coins and any change will be returned in Sterling.
We are pleased to offer our guests the convenience of exchanging various foreign currencies into Sterling, but cannot offer the reverse exchange.
Guests are welcome to use our credit card currency exchange service to settle their credit card bills in their own currency.
Dress Code
The dress code throughout the hotel is smart casual.
Early Departure Policy
We are pleased to accommodate early departures upon request. Guests must give 24-hours notice before the original departure date, or a one night charge will apply.
Early Arrival Policy
We are pleased to guarantee early arrival, as long as the reservation has been pre-registered. To pre-register, guests must make a room reservation that includes the night prior to early check-in. At the time of booking, we ask that guests specify that the reservation is for early check-in the following morning.
Extra Bedding Policy
Extra beds are available upon request, for an additional charge of £50. Children under the age of 12 sleep free in existing bedding. Guests 12 years old and over will be charged as an adult.
Cribs are also provided upon request free of charge. Hotel does not provide blankets, bumpers or pillows with our cribs. Guest must bring their own.
Facility Use Policy
Spa
To avoid a cancellation fee for any In-room Spa services, please give notice at least two hours before the appointment. In the event of a delay up to 30 minutes or more, a 25% surcharge will be applied. For appointments outside normal business hours or on holidays, a 25% surcharge will be applied.
Park Tower Casino
The Park Tower Casino is accessible to members only. In order to gain membership, guests must be over 18 years of age and have valid ID.
Family Plan Policy
Children who are 12 or younger sleep for free in the existing bedding of a room shared with a paying adult. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges.
Late Checkout Policy
We are pleased to accommodate late checkout requests subject to availability. Please note that late checkouts may be subject to additional charges. Checkouts after 6pm will incur a one full night’s room charge.
Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed. Only service animals are allowed. No other pets are permitted.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Payment Policy
Third Party Credit Card – Third party credit card forms are not accepted. Please contact the internal reservations team at (44)(207) 290 7575 for a pro forma invoice. Bank transfers and CHAPS payments are accepted.
Cheque – Banker cheques are not accepted; however, Traveller cheques are accepted as a method of payment. Guest must show valid passport for the transaction.
Direct Bill – Direct billing is only available after approval of the credit manager. The company to be invoiced must fax an invoice request to the hotel and include the specific charges to be invoiced.
Cash – If paying cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and 75 GBP per day will be collected at check-in.
Smoking Policy
Due to the United Kingdom’s smoking ban, all public areas of the hotel are non-smoking. Guests may still smoke in their designated smoking guest rooms and specified areas outside the hotel. A cleaning fee of at least 200 GBP will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy. The guest will also be moved to a smoking room.
Suite Policy
Please reserve two-bedroom suites directly through the hotel.
Visa/Passport Policy
We request that all non-local residents present a valid passport with passport number and travel visa when applicable.
