Special Conditions

Currency Fluctuations

For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.  Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card.  Please contact the hotel if you have any questions.

Policies

ADA Policy

Complimentary wheelchairs are provided for resident guests. However, due to the preservation of this historical landmark, we regret that the hotel is not specifically equipped to handle guests with disabilities.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).

Age Requirement Policy

All guests of the hotel must be at least 18 years old. We request that minors be accompanied by an adult. Children older than 12 will be charged as adults.

Cancel Policy

To avoid a cancellation fee, please give the hotel notice before 6pm local time one day prior to arrival date.

No-shows and any cancellations received after 6pm local time one day prior to arrival date will incur a penalty equivalent to the first night's stay.

Check Acceptance Policy

We regret that cheques are not accepted.

Connecting Room Policy

The hotel is pleased to offer connecting rooms for your convenience. Please make your request as early as possible, to ensure availability.

Credit Card Policy

We are pleased to accept all major credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Japan Credit Bureau, Mastercard, and Visa. We do not offer cash back against credit card.

Deposit Policy

To secure a reservation, we ask that all guests make a deposit guarantee. As set out in the terms and conditions, some special promotions or stay packages require prepayment or an advance deposit which will be charged to the credit card on the reservation.

Dress Code

The dress code throughout the hotel is elegant or smart casual. A jacket is required at the Club del Doge restaurant.

Early Departure Policy

The hotel applies penalty fees for early departures. Please verify applicable early departure penalty fees with Reception at check-in when you are asked to confirm your departure date.

Early Arrival Policy

Subject to availability, early arrivals may be accommodated prior to scheduled check-in time. Charges may apply. Please contact reservations for additional details.

Extra Bedding Policy

It is our pleasure to offer rollaway beds at an additional fee of Euros 125 per night inclusive of tax. Please note that not all rooms can accommodate an extra bed. A maximum of one rollaway bed per room can be accommodated.

Stay is complimentary for children 12 and under in existing bedding. Children over 12 will be charged as adults. Cribs are provided for children up to 2 years.

Gift Certificate Policy

We are pleased to accept gift certificates and will do our best to accommodate guest's requested dates for redemption. However, requested dates will be subject to availability at time of booking, unless otherwise stated on the gift certificate. ID Requirement

All guests are required to present a valid ID card or a passport for identification and registration.

Late Checkout Policy

Subject to availability, late checkouts may be arranged through the front desk. Charges may apply.

Package Handling Policy

Our concierge desk is pleased to hold both mail and messages until guest arrival and during guest absence. The concierge will also stamp and post guests' mail upon request. Charges apply.

Pet Policy

We are delighted to welcome pets to our hotel. We permit one dog or cat per room (up to 5kg) and provide the following amenities for their comfort: a dog bowl, bed and mat and a Pet Welcome Kit. 

We ask that all dogs are kept on a leash when outside the room, and do not permit pets in the hotel's meeting rooms or restaurants.

We are applied for pets, however guests will be responsible for any eventual damage caused by their pets to the hotel property. Animals other than dogs or cats are accepted at the discretion of the General Manager.

Payment Policy

All services must be paid for at the time the service is rendered or upon check-out. We are pleased to accept cash or any major credit card. Accepted forms of payment include credit card, cash (Euros 5000 maximum), foreign currency (equivalent of Euros 5000 maximum), eurocheque, pre-payment by bank transfer. Personal cheques are not accepted. For special promotions or packages, full or partial prepayment is required and charged on credit card as stated in the terms and conditions.

Reservation Policy

For reservations guaranteed with a form of payment or by credit card at time of booking, rooms are held until hotel check-out time the day following arrival. For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until set cancellation time per the rules of the reservation. In the event more guests arrive than can be accommodated due to hotel overbooking or an unforeseen circumstance, and the hotel is unable to hold rooms consistent with this room hold policy, the hotel will attempt to accommodate guests, at its expense, at a comparable hotel in the area for the oversold night(s), and will pay for transportation to that hotel.

Security Policy

An electronic safe is at the disposal of guests in guestrooms. Safe-deposit boxes are also available free of charge at the cashier's desk. The Hotel Management is not responsible for valuables left in guestrooms.

The hotel is fully compliant with the relevant local legislation and is in line with the industry's standards concerning prevention, protection and crisis response counter measures.

Smoking Policy

We are pleased to accommodate requests for smoking or non-smoking guest rooms.

Please note that smoking is not permitted in in the common areas inside the hotel, as required by Italian law.
