Everything about the Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens is regal; from the service, to the room, and the breathtaking views of the Acropolis and Parthenon from the rooftop garden restaurant. Right in the heart of central Athens, you could not ask for a better historical location across the street from the Greece's Parliment building. The hotel did not disappoint when it came to recognition of SPG membership. We were upgraded to an incredible suite. The attentive service provided by the hotel staff was impeccable and worthy of a 5 star Luxury Collection rating. By far one of the best big city hotel we stayed at.

Returning to the Grande Bretagne, and crossing that fabulous marble floor was almost like 'coming home'. We had such a friendly welcome from the receptionist and it was charmingly reassuring to be immediately recognised as a SPG Gold Card member - and, as such, to be given an upgrade to an exquisite room. The view of the acropolis from the roof-top restaurant is magical. And how charming that the restaurant lights were lowered as the acropolis became floodlit (must remember to book a table with this view next time). Having breakfast (which included some delectable Greek specialities) outside on the terrace in glorious Greek Spring weather made an inspiring start to our holiday.

I have a great experience at Grand Bretagne. Im sure that is the greatest option to stay at Athens. The view of the restaurant is wonderful. I Hope to be back soon.

There is simply no way not to like this hotel. From check in to check out, and with everything in between, the Grande Bretagne has no peer in Athens. The staff are universally and supremely capable and friendly. Nothing is too much to ask. I have stayed over the last forty years in every good hotel in the city, and the GB, #1 forty years ago, is still #1 today.

We enjoyed our stay with you. The view from the rooftop every morning was awesome and the breakfast was amazing. Everyone was wonderful and friendly. We were very happy to also exchange our dollars for euros at the front desk and its convenience. We were also upgraded to a view room upon check-in.

I had a very relaxing stay in this hotel. Housekeeping were fast,efficient and very accomodating. Front desk staff met all my requests and were very polite. The restaurant was so very clean and the food was delicious. Keep up the excellent work.

I love everything about this Hotel
It has everything a visitor to Athens would want.
It is Luxurious without being stuffy, it has friendly staff who make you feel at home, it has great restaurants, one with outstanding views of the Acropolis,it is central to everything, and in walking Distance to all you want to visit or see in Athens, with the subway also next to the hotel. It has history and is legendary, but most of all it has a heart.
In summer you have the beautiful rooftop pool and in Winter the just as impressive Indoor pool in the spa area.
This is a Hotel to be seen in, or not seen at all, it is up to you.
Now is the time to visit Greece when the prices are reasonable, and the Weather is Beautiful.
