Rated 5 out of 5 by Almost perfect We enjoyed our stay and everything was perfect except the check-out. We had to wait 25 minutes for our bags to be delivered to the taxi. Also the check-out was slow. Only two staff doing check-out. Otherwise, perfect. We shall return... July 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel with Platinum Benefits but beware of Hotel Cabs We stayed for 2 nights on two different stays at the hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and as a Platinum SPG we got upgraded to a Deluxe Suite - the 2nd time the suite having a nice outdoor patio on the 6th floor. We got a nice bottle of Ouzo on each stay and on the first night we got a nice bottle of Champagne. Rooms are very nice as is the whole hotel. The roof top patio is very nice as well. The food at dinner on the Roof Garden was ok - it was often cold (i.e. fish). But otherwise it was a nice atmosphere and a nice view and good service. The outdoor pool also looked really nice but we did not have a chance to enjoy. Overall, we were very satisfied with this hotel - from quality of rooms, service, etc. However, upon checking out the 2nd time, we asked for a cab to take us to the airport. We had inquired the night before at the front desk as were told the cabs were EUR 35. When we left early that morning, we were told by the bellman and front desk that it was EUR 55 - I told them I had checked the night before and was told EUR 35 but they said it was due to a night premium being applied since we were leaving early - I thought it was weird and I re-stated that I just wanted a regular street taxi and was sure the day before I had been told EUR 35. The bellman took our bags and when we got in the cab, I realize it was one of the hotel cabs - a Mercedes with even the hotel's magazines in the car. I knew we had just gotten ripped off as the bellman got us a hotel cab (which are normally EUR 75 at night time) for a reduced rate instead of a regular outside taxi – I’m sure splitting some of the fees with the driver. It was too late but I felt cheated by the hotel. This would be only my negative on my experience -I would stay again but I would just get my own cab. July 8, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Luxury hotel in a perfect location This was our first time in Athens. This hotel is perfect. Although we didn't get a room upgrade, we still enjoyed our junior suite. All the hotel staff were great and friendly, Rooftop restaurant is pricey but the view of Pathenon at night was an awesome experience. Make sure to make a reservation. Our favorite was the indoor pool area in the basement, we used it twice! Apples and water are provided by the management, Outdoor pool was also nice but was very crowded, Centrally located and our hop-on hop-off tour had a couple of stops next to the hotel. Hotel was in perfect location, close to everything. June 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not 5 star I was expecting a 5 star hotel. There was no table on the balcony to hold drinks. We didn't have any wash towels in the bathroom after our 1st day. Twice staff entered room without knocking...very rude! July 4, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great features, terrible Service This hotel provided terrible customer service. I wasn't able to check-in to my room until well after 6pm and the staff (when present) set completely unmet expectations. I was utterly unimpressed with the service and i felt that it was a poor representation of SPG quality. The hotel itself was quite nice, the spa had a lovely set of saunas and the pool had a nice view. These features, however, were not enough to compensate for the despicable service received. I will not be staying there in the future. June 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pool area too small, Concierge recommendations not good The pool area for a 300+ room hotel is too cramped. Recommendations by the concierge were not always so good for places of interest and dining. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay July 1, 2014
