Rated 4 out of 5 by A splendid, well-kept grand hotel During the long Finnish winter, there is something reassuring about the curtain of warm air that greets guests upon stepping inside the Kamp's double doors. Attentive, professional staff are never far away. The interior - comfortable and cosy with the use of good quality traditional furnishings and cheery yellow-toned paints. A welcome sight compared to the trendy schemes used within so many 'refurbished' hotels these days. Food quality is excellent. Tip: Try the local draft beer Lapin Kulta draft beer in the bar and when enjoying the refreshment, look up at the beautiful wooden detailing and illumination around the top of the room. March 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Again and again and ... Knowing that it sounds like a cliché I am not afraid to say that Kämp is a bit like home away from home. The main reason for this is that staff remains the same and the recognize you from time to time, at least if you are a frequent guest as me. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others. Rated 4 out of 5 by Elegant and unpersonal I have had the pleasure to stay at The Kämp several times during visits in Helsinki. It is a stunning hotel with a great location in the heart of the Finnish capital. Rooms are of course very comfortable and I find the Executive rooms more cozy than the Deluxe. Although I have been here several times Kämp does not really recognize loyal SPG members. The Library Bar is excellent for meetings or just relaxation, service is usually good. The service at the Kämp is formal and not very personal. Don´t try to joke with the front desk staff. May 20, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Upmarket hotel with perfect location Kämp is a cozy hotel but there is a lot to improve in service attitude and attention to customer needs. No information on hotel services at check in, no assistance with luggage .. Breakfast was a great disappointment. Very meager selection and EVERYTHING was cold! Scrambled eggs, bacon, COFFEE !! ....all cold. December 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely hotel in central location Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Large spacious Executive room, which easily accommodated the three of us; the roll-a-way bed was made up and the extra towels placed on the bed. Almost an hours drive from the airport (roughly 50 Euros) by taxi. Centrally located . . . easy walking distance from the Tourist Information office / Tram (3T) / City Sightseeing bus, also the main street and Stockman's Department store; walk around the block and you'll be passing all the high priced shops. Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall great We had two rooms and was there for 3 nights with our daughter and her husband before leaving for Russia. I lost my inhaler on one of the tour buses the first day.When we got back to the room i was trying to call the tour bus company and the hotel operator ask me if she could help? I explained what happen she called and told me they were closed ,she told me they would take care of it. The next day around noon we went to the place where the tour buses were and asked about my inhaler they said the Hotel had already sent someone over to get it. They took care of it before noon and it was in my room waiting for me. I was amazed. Greatest service I've ever had. September 6, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good location not good service The hotel was a disappointment due to absolutely no customer service when arriving. No one greeted us at the entrance.We had to take the luggage out of the trunk of the car ourselves.Throughout our four night stay no one greeted us personally by name or acknowleged us unless approaching the front desk. Unacceptable for a five star hotel. Room was not cleaned properly April 21, 2013
