I'm usually not a huge fan of the Luxury Collection properties but this one does an excellent job of welcoming platinum members to it's premises. I was upgraded to an executive suite and I found the room to be charming. I've stayed at many Luxury Collection properties that are historic but look run down. I don't find this to be the case with Hotel Kamp. I thought the rooms were very well taken care of while maintaining some of it's historic charm. I was greeted with a welcome note and a small bottle of wine which certainly helped me feel welcome to this property. The breakfast is good but I wish there a tad bit more variety of food options. The internet speed is very solid and overall, I would certainly stay here again during a future visit. The only downside was that I had to use points for breakfast as a Platinum Member. I have never had to do that. I always get my points and complimentary breakfast, especially when a hotel doesn't have a club lounge or executive lounge. I was a bit disappointed by that.

The hotel fully meets almost all expectations.
Almost. I understood that after upgrading the room, the price included also a morning newspaper. I never got this.
One of two washbasins in the bathroom did not work perfectly. Otherwise everything was ok.

Knowing that it sounds like a cliché I am not afraid to say that Kämp is a bit like home away from home. The main reason for this is that staff remains the same and the recognize you from time to time, at least if you are a frequent guest as me. I will absolutely recommend this hotel to others.

It would be nice to have upper toilet and more railing to the bathroom. Shower chair with back rest is must for most of people who uses wheelchair.
Allergy room would be nice and much easier to use wheelchair (carpet is very heavy to reel).

Kämp is a cozy hotel but there is a lot to improve in service attitude and attention to customer needs.
No information on hotel services at check in, no assistance with luggage ..
Breakfast was a great disappointment. Very meager selection and EVERYTHING was cold! Scrambled eggs, bacon, COFFEE !! ....all cold.

I have had the pleasure to stay at The Kämp several times during visits in Helsinki. It is a stunning hotel with a great location in the heart of the Finnish capital. Rooms are of course very comfortable and I find the Executive rooms more cozy than the Deluxe. Although I have been here several times Kämp does not really recognize loyal SPG members. The Library Bar is excellent for meetings or just relaxation, service is usually good. The service at the Kämp is formal and not very personal. Don´t try to joke with the front desk staff.
