Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Location and Facilities Room and bathroom were quite well-appointed. King bed was not two twins pushed together as is seen in many European hotels. Linens were quite comfortable. I learned placing the card on the bed to have the sheets changed daily resulted in a much better job of making the bed. Overall, very good stay. One piece of criticism would be that the reception staff were quite friendly but not as helpful as they could have been. For instance, when asking about restaurants, they made suggestions but seemed hesitant to call to reserve any of them, instead suggesting that I stop by the establishments during the day to see about availability. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent location We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in Aug. The location is excellent. We could shop nearby easily and viisit the park just opposite to the hotel. Everything is good. Special thanks to Hotel Manager Markku, he is extremely helpful and always has the passion to serve customers well. Thanks. August 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great classic hotel, but with average service Great beautiful hotel, courteous service but I wish they could be more professional. I booked a table for a breakfast meeting while staying at the hotel only to come down and find them completely unprepared. You don't expect to book a meeting facility at a 5 star hotel to find out that they don't now, or failed to make the arrangements. August 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply the best in Helsinki Visiting Helsinki I always stay at Kamp. My first experience was many years ago and for me it's still the best Hotel in Helsinki. Perfect location. Even standard room is great, breakfast and all the food and drinks are fine, staff is helpful and cooperative. I recommend this hotel to all my friends visiting Helsinki August 12, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Starting to Show Wear and Tear I would definitely not consider this a 5-star hotel. From the description of Hotel Kamp's website, luxury and glamour are mentioned: "At Hotel Kämp experience the luxury of timeless elegance and European glamour. In the spacious hotel rooms of the most luxurious hotel in Helsinki..." I would agree that luxury and glamour are exhibited in the public spaces of the restaurant and bar. However, the modernist take on the "new" lobby which I found to be bland and unexciting and our room, No. 816 (Premium Deluxe) could not be rated 5-star. The tan/gold carpeting in the hallways and elevator landings is very worn and looks dingy. The wood flooring is very scratched and needs to be refinished and polyurethaned with a high quality product for heavy traffic. Towels and robes in our lovely bathroom need to be replaced. They are worn, almost to the point of being frayed, and past their prime. The fact that the hotel is centrally located and its restaurant and bar are cozy, well appointed, and the food good will keep clients coming back. However, if it wants to consider itself a 5-star luxury setting, some work needs to be done. August 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Free Wifi I find it strange that a hotel of this rating does not offer free wifi in the room... only at a very high charge! Upon ck.-in we were given a SMOKING deluxe room, which was nowhere near to what we hoped for, your excellent staff perfomed magic and gave us a truly deluxe non smoking room! All in all, an excellent experience! August 12, 2014
