I stayed at ITC Grand Central for 4 nights in March. It was a really good experience. Very helpful staff (they even helped me to buy my train tickets-thank you Sanjeey), delicious breakfast, an amazing pool area and gr8 location. Almost everything was perfect. I was only a little bit disappointed of my room. It was a classic, average room. I was thinking that as SPG Platinum I will get a better room. Do not get me wrong. This room was also cool, but was not as big.
Anyway, the whole experience was great. The next time I will stay at this hotel again for sure.

This hotel is located in a very convent area close to shopping malls and down town Mumbai. The Food at the hotel is fantastic!!! Once you have one meal you will find your self eating at the hotel more then going out.

The single most hospitable hotel I've ever stayed with!
Special mentions must be made for: Sahil, Saurabh, Anisha, Kishore and Pooja. All staff were excellent but having had the opportunity to work with all 5 of these people closely, they made a material positive impact to my family's experience.

I arrived at 2am in the morning, checking in the clerk tried to sell me an executive package to give me breakfast, lounge access and wifi. Even though they had my SPG reference they did not recognise I was a Platinum member and got these complimentary, which was disappointing. No sign of an attempt to upgrade me either.
Service was good, in the lounge they are paranoid about room numbers, when you give them they re-check with reception you are allowed in, which makes you feel they don't trust you.

ITC Grand Central is a fabulous hotel located in central Mumbai with easy access to BOM airport as well as South Mumbai. The rooms are comfortable, the lobby is beautiful and the food was delicious. I was recognized as an SPG Gold Member on check in. One thing that really makes the hotel great however is the staff. They gave great restaurant recommendations and ensured a stellar stay. I would like to mention Udit in particular for going well above and beyond in his service.

Great staff and excellent hospitality, I'd specially like to mention the butler whom I met at the coffee shop (Mr. Darvin V.) who went an extra mile with his hospitality while serving me my meals. His outstanding services ensured that I rebook the hotel for 8+ nights basis my lovely experience I had with those two nights of stay which I had made in first week of November 2014.
Black out rates: I was charged heavily above the prices offered to me in the past; for the dates I stayed at the hotel, inspite of being a repeat customer, firmly believe the prices should be rational for repeat customers.
Apart from this, the hotel is well placed and in the center of the city, easily accessible from all the business localities, the domestic and international airport and the good eating joints across the city,

We stayed just for one night, but with early check-in (off a cruise) and late check-out (for evening flight out) we used the hotel's facilities and services extensively. SPG recognition and upgrade was as good as it gets anywhere. F&B services were excellent: we had lunch on the first day at the Kebabs & Kurries Indian restaurant which was stunning (better, we thought than the Indian food at the Taj where we lunched on the second day). In the evening of the first day we dined at Hornby's Pavillion where the array of Mumbai street food dishes was outstanding, and the service from chefs/waiters fabulous. Our suite (to which we were upgraded) was just great. Above all, perhaps, we were thrilled by the service we received from concierge Nestor Serrao. We went to see him after arrival, and within a short time he had given us comprehensive advice on sightseeing over the two days we were to be there, and had arranged truly wonderful tours for both days. He also arranged seamless transport arrangements for us, first on arrival from the ship and finally when we left for the airport (seprately, in two cars at two different times late afternoon and evening). Front desk staff were also very helpful in making special arrangements for late check-out, use of lounge before departure, etc. Overall we thought that the service we received, the facilites we enjoyed, and the value we received for our bucks could not be imporved upon. Well done!
