Rated 4 out of 5 by Saved by Sudhakar I checked in for a less-than-24-hour stay late on June 27, 2015. This was my second booking/stay at the Grand Central. The fact that I came back for a second visit should tell you that I had liked my first visit last year. Anyways, to cut to the chase, the room assigned to me had a stark musty odour. Very unpleasant. I immediately called and complained. Someone came and sprayed a room freshener, and the sickly sweet odour of that made things worse. I complained again. It took them a while to get back to me and they said they were searching for another room to which they could shift me. After a while, they took me to another room on a higher floor. This one too had an extremely musty and stale odour. I complained again. I was given explanations about how during the rains rooms can get musty, which actually is not true since the fault seemed to lie in the central air-conditioining. It was at this time that Sudhakar (I believe he is the floor manager or something like that) stepped in and took charge. We went together and checked out yet another room - same problem. Then we went to the 26th floor and finally it was a room without any odours. Sudhakar was most apologetic for the whole thing and assured me of his personal attention. I was finally able to unpack and sleep. I cannot commend Sudhakar highly enough - his approach and attitude was most professional and he's a credit to this hotel. If not for him, this would've been my last stay at the Grand Central. Because of him, I will most probably use them again, as in all other respects this is a very good hotel and the food is excellent. Note to hotel administration - I think you're aware of this problem with the musty odour in many of the rooms on the lower (cheaper) floors. Fix it. Everybody doesn't need to check into the pricier rooms on the higher floors to breathe odourless air. If you can, do something about the hotel's exorbitant rates for car hire and airport pickup/drops. And again, tons of credit to Sudhakar. July 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Home Away from Home This property is centrally situated in Mumbai city. It has all the standard features of a luxury hotel. Food is excellent in Kebabs and Kurries restaurant. Hornby's Pavilion is a cafe par excellence. The buffet breakfast and lunch is outstanding with personal touches. What makes this hotel stand out among some of the other world famous hotels in Mumbai, its the people at ITC. Each one, from the doormen to concierge to front desk to butlers to restaurant and spa, just about everywhere, strive to make you feel at home and comfortable. They pay attention to minor details with a smile so that your trip is very pleasant and fruitful. I have stayed here at least 5-7 times each year for the last 4+ years, and I would not stay anywhere else in Mumbai. Great job and a big thank you! July 2, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Left Disappointed I left the hotel disappointed on 2 counts: 1. The whole purpose of my visit was to make my anniversary special but apart from wishes , i wasn't even offered a cake. I am not after complimentary stuff but i thought since i made an explicit mention, hotel will take some effort to at least inquire what sort of arrangements will i like to make it special. Unfortunately nothing of that sort happened. I guess i should have been a paid guest rather than an award guest. 2. i was told i will be awarded 500 points for the stay but i received 180 points not sure why? Or am i missing something. For paid guests , i am sure this will be a good stay , but i am not sure for Award Nights guests. May 5, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Experience I stayed at ITC Grand Central for 4 nights in March. It was a really good experience. Very helpful staff (they even helped me to buy my train tickets-thank you Sanjeey), delicious breakfast, an amazing pool area and gr8 location. Almost everything was perfect. I was only a little bit disappointed of my room. It was a classic, average room. I was thinking that as SPG Platinum I will get a better room. Do not get me wrong. This room was also cool, but was not as big. Anyway, the whole experience was great. The next time I will stay at this hotel again for sure. March 20, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by The best hotel experience I've ever had The single most hospitable hotel I've ever stayed with! Special mentions must be made for: Sahil, Saurabh, Anisha, Kishore and Pooja. All staff were excellent but having had the opportunity to work with all 5 of these people closely, they made a material positive impact to my family's experience. January 26, 2015
