Check-in was terrific and staff greeted me with a smile. Great also proactive SPG Platinum Suite upgrade and welcome gift from the General Manager. However, things went south from there.
WiFi in the room did not work and I requested support. Supposedly a technician went whilst I was out for the afternoon and staff insisted that the Internet worked; however, upon my return the WiFi was still not working. In fact, the technical insisted the WiFi connected (which it did...to the hotspot with no Internet connection) upon a second visit. He went to reset the internet and at 11:00PM, I finally had working internet, which was when I was about to get to bed. All the work I had planned on completing in the evening did not get completed!
The shower in my room needed fixing, as I discovered the morning of departure when I showered. The water did not drain and ended up flooding the entire bathroom floor whilst I showered.
The restaurant service is also absolutely horrendous. I had dinner at the restaurant, and had to ask for the check three times and finally had to get up to ask the Maître D for it. For breakfast, I had asked for the check and the waitress continued to help everyone else, acknowledged my presence, and walked off into the back area and never returned. I told her I was running late already yet she still did not bring me my check or tell me that my breakfast was included in the rate. In fact, the mere fact she told me she'll bring it and left to do multiple other things, acknowledged my presence and request after helping the others, and still did not return after 5 minutes is unacceptable. I ended up walking out of the restaurant and telling another server to bill my room if there was a charge. Restaurant service needs HUGE improvement.
Will admit the service I received at the Sheraton (a "lower" brand) was must better.

We recently stayed partly on our own as a couple and then with a group of almost 30. This hotel is wonderfully situated with comprehensively excellent facilities. Mallorca is a wonderful destination, one can stay at this hotel and so much of the staff is fluently and multi-lingual. Excellent Limo services, food, beverage, recreation ... Es Vi is a very special dining experience without the hystrionics one often encounters at such a level. Recommended without any reservation whatsoever.

It was our first time in Mallorca, and what an amazing experience! The location is on a lush mountaintop with a closeby bus stop which takes you to Mallorca city center. Taxis are easy to find also but cost much more to take to city center. Its worth being a little far from the city center though because the views are amazing and its peaceful. Housekeeping visited twice daily and kept everything neat. There is a shower and a bathtub in the bathroom. One thing I found great was the amazing view from our rooms balcony! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mallorca!!

The staff gets service right. Done perfectly without being noticed or as a guest feeling smothered. Right from the Front Desk Staff including Trainees to the GM, one of the very best stays of the last 5 years.
English, German, Spanish? No problem, most multi-lingual staff I've encountered.

I have stayed in a lot of five star hotels during the last ten years and for me this was a genuine luxury hotel. The service was first class, the food excellent. The staff was wonderful. Fantastic paintings, beautiful rooms and great spa!! Amazing property! Highly recommend!

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times now and its always fantastic. We just came back from our most recent stay and I think they even managed to top other stays. This is one of the best in the world. A tip, try the new tapas restaurant Es Vi, great!!

My wife & I had 4 days of relaxing break in Palma and staying at the Castillo Son Vida was a unique & luxurious experience. Tranquil surrounding & did not have time to use any of the 4 surrounding golf courses which must wait till the next visit !
