Recently stayed at the Palace for a conference and came early for a weekend of sightseeing with my son. The most beautiful dining area in the city is just off the lobby with a great breakfast buffet. The intimate restaurant dining room is also beautiful. Morey at the front desk was super welcoming as was the Door Man who shared city tips while we waited for a morning tour bus. Bell Service was helpful as was Concierge. The whole staff genuinely wanted to make your stay special. Meeting elements seemed to run smoothly. Guest rooms are small as is typical with historical hotels but room was clean and bath modernized and everything worked.

Unfortunately, this hotel underwhelmed me. The room could have been cleaner, service should have been faster, and the Keurig was moldy. If you would like pictures of any of the above please let me know. Also, the hairdryer didn't work and when I requested a replacement I needed to call three times before one was delivered - this was in the morning when someone staying would clearly be rushed!

Garden Court is the center piece of the hotel, so gorgeous with natural light, live music. Love every moment of my staying. Easy walk to Union Square, China Town.

staff --especially room servie department, their service needs to be improved.
front desk - not friendly at all, i mentioned the problems during my stay, didnt get resolved.

stay here all the time. last visit what a missed. sat waiting to check in lone for a very long time. the concierge got nervous walked over and a few of us waiting asked them to get more help. it came too late.i was told my room have a great view of market. it was not on market. i have hair iun the tub and sink. i asked for a power strip as the rooms have no outlets and a guy show up much later. all in all very disappointed . as a platinum guy big miss....

Check in slow, not enough front staff, more bell people and security than check in staff. If you're into people cutting in front of the check in line to complain about their view or size of room and the front desk considers them a priority, this is the place for you. If you like being eyeballed by security every time you walk in the hotel this is the place for you. If you have to use the restroom in the lobby and need to search out an employee to get the code to get in, this is the place for you. If you have had a couple too many and the manager of the Pied Piper Bar is a jerk, as well as his bartenders are, this is the place for you. Using SPG Points? expect nothing but a lousy view and a small room. Every time I've used SPG Points to stay here as a Gold Member I've received a substandard room. Will not be using points or money to stay here ever again.
