Behind deseo’s inventive concept and menu development is James Beard Award-winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez, widely regarded as the creator of Nuevo Latino cuisine. Gracing the restaurant’s walls is bold, colorful artwork by Nelson Garcia-Miranda, a world-renowned Cuban artist who paints live in the Deseo lobby.
Named for the Spanish word for desire, deseo serves up a passionate and lively dining experience like no other in Arizona. Showcasing imaginative Latin-influenced cuisine, deseo’s menu features a distinctive and skillfully-blended combination of flavors that can be perfectly complemented by our South American wine list that is sure to impress connoisseurs.
The best seat in the house is at The Rail—a counter that surrounds the exhibition kitchen and allows diners to watch chefs expertly prepare ceviche. The innovation continues at the Muddle Bar, where exotic cocktails are created by smashing together the freshest fruits and herbs with a wooden muddle to release their intense flavors.
