Age Requirement Policy
Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve a room at The Ballantyne. A valid ID or Passport is required for check-in.
Connecting Room Policy
Connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed due to limited availability. Please contact a front office manager in advance if connecting rooms are required.
Extra Bedding Policy
Rollaway beds are not available in rooms with two double beds but can be accommodated in king rooms, parlor suites, and presidential suites. Rollaway beds are provided by request, subject to availability.
Family Plan Policy
Children 18 and under sleep free in existing room bedding. Guests over the age of 18 are considered adult and are charged an additional person fee. Rollaways, child rollaways and cribs may incur extra charges.
Check-In & Checkout Policies
Early Arrival Policy
To guarantee early arrival, please reserve the night before arrival. Otherwise, early check-in is subject to availability. If early check-in is not possible, the bellmen can store luggage until the room is ready.
Early Departure Policy
A fee of one night's room rate plus taxes will apply to all early departures.
Late Checkout Policy
Late checkout requests are subject to availability and fees and can not be guaranteed. In the case of a late check-out before 2pm, an additional 50 USD will apply. For check-outs between 2pm and 4pm a fee of 100 USD will apply, after 4pm, one night’s room and tax will apply.
All public areas are accessible to guests with disabilities. Accessible rooms can be guaranteed; however, the two rooms with roll-in showers are subject to availability. The hotel also has two wheelchairs, and indoor and outdoor pool lifts available by request. For additional requests, please contact the Concierge at (704) 248-4055.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older with valid identification.
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
The Ballantyne does not provide babysitting or child care services. However, the Concierge can refer guests to a local childcare company.
The Ballantyne recommends resort casual, smart dress and business casual attire.
To respect our guests' privacy, The Ballantyne does not allow unauthorized photography and videography on its grounds. Professional photography sessions may be arranged at The Ballantyne for a location fee of 450 USD. This fee also includes the use of a dressing room (subject to availability). Photo shoots must be scheduled through the Meetings & Events Department at (704) 248-4035. Photo shoots cannot be booked on Saturdays.
On-site photography and videography will be permitted in the following circumstances:
Contracted meetings, events and weddings
Media purposes, which must be coordinated in advance through the Public Relations Department at (704) 248-2010
Package Handling Policy
There is a package handling fee for all incoming and outbound packages. Please contact the hotel directly for the exact fee. Package inquiries should be directed to the purchasing department.
Pets are not allowed. Only service animals are allowed with advance notice. No other animals are permitted.
A damage waiver must be signed at check-in which outlines further policies. No deposit will be charged; however, fees will apply if extra cleaning or repairs are needed to the guest room. Service dogs can be in the room without the owner; however, the owner must be present when hotel staff are in the room. Housekeeping service times should be arranged in advance.
The outdoor pool and indoor pools are complimentary to hotel guests. The outdoor pool is open seasonally from May to September. The following policies apply to the pool:
No lifeguard on duty
Children under the age of 10 must have adult supervision
Outside food and beverages or coolers are not permitted
Gallery Restaurant recommends smart dress and business casual attire.
Health & Well-Being Policies
All guests must maintain a noise level that does not disturb other guests. If a noise complaint is reported, security will issue a warning to the offending guest's room. If the noise disturbance continues after two warnings, guests may be asked to vacate the resort at management's discretion.
All indoor facilities and guest rooms including rooms with balconies are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor spaces. A cleaning fee of 500 USD will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy.
Check Cashing Policy
The hotel does not offer check cashing services.
EMV/Chip & PIN Credit Card Policy
Please be aware this hotel is EMV/Chip & PIN ready and your credit card’s PIN may be necessary for you to check-in to the hotel. If you are not aware of the PIN for your chip credit card, or you are unsure if your card requires a PIN, please contact the financial institution that issued your credit card for clarity and to secure your PIN.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy
Gift cards that have a monetary value need to be presented at check-in and can be used anywhere on the property. Reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card. Purchase Order Acceptance Policy
Purchase orders are not accepted as a valid reservation guarantee. Only credit cards are accepted. Please contact the hotel for further information.
