The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
Hotel History

Exemplifying the signature sophistication and elegance of St. Regis, The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is the stunning result of a collaboration between Starwood Hotels and Resorts and Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership. The resort, which debuted in January 2012, incorporates open, flowing design elements and a structure that distinctly embodies South Florida. Meanwhile, the décor is the vision of the celebrated interior designers Yabu Pushelberg. Known for their universal appeal, they have infused the resort with bespoke touches, amenities, and conveniences, imparting a relaxed, discreet opulence reminiscent of a grand manor. Recalling Morris Lapidus, the legendary architect of neo-baroque modern Miami, and the glamour of the city in the 1960s, which attracted visionaries like Frank Sinatra and Jackie Gleason, they have incorporated a soft, cool color palette, rich tactile textures—from bronze screens to custom woven carpets—rare materials, including West African Movinque wood and one-of-a-kind Chinese God Flower Stone marble, and original artwork, which speak to the resort’s worldly guests and reflect the benchmark of distinction and uncompromising service that is quintessentially St. Regis.
