My family and I had a terrific stay at this resort. Our room was nice, the facility was spacious and clean, and the staff were prompt, courteous, and attentive. I'd highly recommend this location to anyone seeking a quiet, getaway-type vacation away from the hustle and bustle. Don't forget to try the hiking trail! Very sad to see this hotel leave the Starwood brand, but glad we enjoyed it while using Cash & Points.

I was at this hotel for a 2 night stay in November, 2013 on a business trip so there wasn't any time to take advantage of all of features of the resort.
The room (1343) was adequate for a business trip type of stay that didn't involve working in the room as it was a bit small. Its location was at the furthest point from the front desk as could be possible so it led to some very long walks down some very emptry corridors. The room was quiet without intrusion of outside noises but I'm not certain how many people were around since I never saw another person on my long walks from my room to the lobby area.
I had dinner in Brannon's Restaurant one night which was fantastic! As a single female traveler, I was made to feel very welcome, given a nice table and received wonderful service by my server David.
Room service breakfast the next morning was a different story. $30.00 for scrambled eggs, bacon and apple juice that turned out to be pretty disappointing. Not much flavor and just adequate. I'm aware that room service prices can be quite high, but I've had much better food for similar prices at other hotels. My room service tray was never picked up so it stayed in the hallway outside my door during my entire stay.
To end on a positive note though, the bellmen manning the door and who assisted me with my luggage, eventually helped me find my room and made my taxi arrangements were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient.

I was on business travel and unfortunately I had a cold so I was miserable but the staff was very attentive to my needs; everyone was extremely polite and delightful during all my encounters. I was impressed with the level attention, concern and responsiveness shown to me.

Had a meeting and stayed for just one night...BUT we will be back for more! My wife and I loved the hotel and wonderful staff. Perfect nights stay.

Key did not work
Mistake on assigning room service (assigned us as "green" service by mistake). Changed with the desk but service did not come, had to call again.
Cleaners kept coming after room service was done.
Wait staff did not acknowledge us to at the bar. Had to track down bar staff when the bar was empty. Staff was busy talking to each other.
Poor service at restaurant. Had breakfast, waiter added items we declined and forgot items we ordered. Bill was never corrected, had to find mgr to fix. Waiter left check less than half way thru meal, said"leaving bill now because I probably won't make it back".
Valet was a joke- never opened my wife's door, had to go to them to track down keys. Absolutely no service provide. They were not busy. I understand they could get swamped,,,but they were not.

I had a major problem with parking my vehicle. Otherwise the facilities at the hotel were good to excellent. The parking problem related to severe crowding with vehicles at the entrance such that we could not enter the hotel and had to park far down a hill and carry our baggage back up the hill. I am 80 years old and this was a major problem!! My wife is crippled. No attendant ever helped with our baggage or procuring our car.

Very disappointed at this beautiful resort. Staff very inattentive. Long walk to parking and was offered a ride once out of 4 trips. Took 10 minutes to set a wakeup call. Front desk finally answered and said they were on the line with another guest. Front desk called my room looking for another room 4 floors above me and woke me up. Comfy beds but sheet around the mattress comes up several inches short of the end of the bed. Also, no wi-fi in the room. Overall, very poor service for such a nice facility.
