Great stay. Check in process took almost no time and the hotel proactively upgraded me (as a Platinum) to a Junior Suite. Many times, I feel, you have to "fight" for an upgrade. The fact that this was proactive to begin with was a major plus! Staff was also great in helping me plan my day and what sights to see.
I needed a button mended and asked for a sewing kit; however, I was informed they didn't have any but instead the staff sent up someone from the Laundry Department to mend the button for me! Talk about service! :)
Breakfast was offered in both the Club Lounge and also in the restaurant. I selected to eat at the restaurant and was served promptly. Selection was terrific, including a made-to-order omelet bar.
Between the gorgeously appointed room, proactive service, and excellent staff....I would definitely recommend the property!
The only downside to the stay was the location; the hotel is not super close to all the tourist sites. Even so, I would not hesitate to return in the future and take an Uber into City Center.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful visit to Porto, due in large part to the friendly, professional staff at the Porto Sheridan. Firmino Alves is the most caring, helpful concierge we've known throughout 40 years of traveling! We enjoyed Antonio Carvalho's tour of Porto. Andre welcomed us, by name,back to the hotel every time we saw him. Paula and Antonio were great with our reservations and rooms, as Daniela and Pedro were in the club lounge. Fabio took the time from his post in the restaurant to help us plan and map out our day in Porto.

We spent three nights on a family vacation in this hotel. The staff was professional and handled our requests properly. We had a suite which was adequate . The gym is in the basement so, dark and not very large. It gets crowded. The location is not near the city and the metro station is few blocks away. It gets a bit scary to walk to the hotel late night from the metro.

Very disappointed in a my most recent stay here.
Emailed in advance via the SPG app indicating that I would be there for a special occasion and asking that they keep me in mind for a suite. To improve my chances (so I thought), I had booked a "premium" room (15 E more expensive than the basic prepaid room).
Room rate was to include a bottle of wine.
Upon arrival, was given the most basic club floor room available -- and not even on the same floor as the lounge. Needless to say, no bottle of wine in sight.
When I went back down to the front desk, was given various stories about how (a) the hotel was full, (b) upgrading me to a club room was a huge favor, (c) the bottle of wine only went with a premium room, not a club room... etc...
I did not want to embarrass my partner by making a scene, so we left.
When we returned that evening, although the SPG app still showed suites for sale along with every other class of room available, no mention at all of changing rooms -- despite the hotel clearly being deserted.
The bottle of wine that had been sent up was the worst I've tasted in Portugal.
At checkout, when asked how things were, I repeated all of the above to the clerk. He assured me that he'd have the manager contact me...
Needless to say, no contact from the manager.
Very, very poor show.

As I have said before, as soon as you meet the first member of staff, you can tell exactly how the stay will be. Doorman welcomed me with a big smile, check in desk staff were very friendly, lots of smiles and they made me feel welcome.
Suite was beautiful, large terrace with views over the city. House keeping presented the room beautifully
Lounge was well run, clean and food hot. Great scrambled eggs for breakfast, nit rubbery!
A great team that is a credit to Sheraton and SPG
I will return soon

I already send my comment about the difficulty to use the mirror bathroom to do my make up.
I really appreciate that a lady from the management will try to do it!
The distance is "huge" and the light do not help
Usually I need to do it in the mirror close to the toilet which I think is not appropriate ....
Why not considering a magnifier mirror with light attached to the bathroom wall..

Rated 3 out of 5 by GPSPAT Junior Suite beds aren't heavenly at all
This hotel in Porto needs to remember the main thing we come for is a place to sleep. A hard, lumpy king sized mattress that had my wife and I sloping towards the middle of the bed is not a way to treat an SPG Gold guest (or any guest for that matter). The room's decor and carpets are tired too.
In short, take a pass on this hotel if you can. At $300 Euros a night, you can get as large and a better equiped room elsewhere.
The SPA massage - needed after a night on that bed, was the only good thing about the hotel. The room service was prompt but the they forgot one breakfast dish altogether, claiming I only ordered one.
The room service dinner was better. Communication in English was a problem at times.
Reception and wait staff were polite and helpful.

I have been charged twice for my stay. When I left the hotel and made the check out I was charged 400 euros in my first card but the guy said that the card was not accepted. Then I paid in another card. But for my surprise when I checked my first card statement the debt was also done. I called the hotel and since the 19th I have been waiting for a position from the HOtel and so far nothing has been said to me. I was charged 400 euros more than my debt I the hotel has not cancelled it.
I am very upset with the silence of the hotel so far I am afraid I may have to take legal action against the hotel. I never thought I would have this kind of trouble at Sheraton!!!!!!
