Dear General Manager,
I booked the highest room category your property has to offer just to be confronted after check-in that water was dripping from the ceiling in my bedroom. In addition the room needed improvements regarding cleanliness etc. I'm quite disappointed that you take so little pride in your top room category "Executive Suite".
After confronting the reception with my experience, your staff wanted to downgrade me to Junior Suite as no Executive Suite was available as this was explained to me. Not the slightesed attemped was made for any kind of compensation etc. just the usual sorry note.
I was told that I may enjoy the club lounge until another Exec.Suite might be available. It was also promised that I would be contacted about proceeding. However, this did not happen and your staff seemingly just forgot about a guest. After 3h waiting and no response, I went again to the front desk being greeted by another staff member who was not filled in the problem at hand.
So the entire Spiel started again. No honest apology, no complementary whatever, nothing to make up for this kind of worst experience possible.
At the end I got again an Exec.Suite, but only because I insisted of this category...very disturbing!
I expect this kind of treatment with a low budget travel agency but not with a 5 star hotel and a booked room costing ca. 420€ per night.
Also the the Duty Manager was not in reach and excused, even though I wanted to speak him/ her.
Dear General Manager, if you like to turn around this example of a very negative experience, I am happy to jear from asap with a true guesture of class hotel

On arrival staff were very helpful and in fact we were checked in by a lovely trainee who was very gracious and friendly. She was a little unsure but advised on this and got a colleague to help. We were upgraded to a beautiful club suite and as was the case with all but one member of staff they were exceptionally helpful. The room was spacious, with a separate lounge area, 2 bathrooms and had 3 lovely balconies. The club lounge was great and had nice hot items for breakfast. The only little niggle was one of the staff in the club lounge, Aida, was not as helpful as other staff but I did bring this to the hotels attention.

We were very pleased with our stay, which confirms the positive experience we had in the past. The hotel location is good, so are the facilities - free parking, club lounge, pool and solarium on top floor. We enjoyed a very courteous and efficient welcome at check in and our platinum membership was honoured with an upgrade to a huge suite with a nice bay view.
Only criticism: the entrance at ground level has a sad look which does not reflect the quality level of the hotel... please do something, Le Meridien Malta deserves more and better!

First allocated room did not correspond to our reservation, we changed room after one night. The second room was OK except for an awful smell in the bathroom. Was not corrected despite of our claim, but we did not want to change another time.

Stayed for a three-night weekend break. Outstanding level of service, comfort and cleanliness, on par with high-end Le Méridien properties elsewhere in Europe and the Americas. Management, concierge and staff were very attentive, courteous and exceeded expectations when attending to a number of special requests. SPG recognition meant upgrade to a very fine suite with Bay view. The spa and gym are top notch, though they are open to non-hotel guests, so can be quite busy at weekends. Will definitely return when next visiting Malta.

This hotel is realy lovely, excellent location, great pool & spa, only bad pionts are rooms to front of hotel noisey at night, drinks very expensive, wi fi very poor, but I would be happy to stay there again.
