Rated 3 out of 5 by Great Hotel but bad A/C Great hotel, very upscale, recent renovation. Only neg. was the A/C is sub-par and we were not comfortable at night in the room because of the temp. Located on George V, it's close to many of the best attractions in Paris. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beauty and style The hotel is magnificently redone with attention to quality and materials. It is a modern statement of elegance with a touch of charm from the 40s era. The staff was all about customer service and paid close mindful effort to any details or personal needs. The room was exquisite. Stayed in a Maccasar suite and it was perfectly done. Impressed by the concierge staff and the doormen...perhaps the check in staff was new - but they were on point - after a few mistakes. The hotel lounge was warm and staff was very attentive as well. Don't miss this if you have the opportunity to visit Paris! October 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY We spent 6 nights in Paris at the Prince de Galles , September 2013. Location is fantastic, probably the best in Paris. The results of the renovations are superb, with extremely high quality finishing throughout the hotel. The staff is very attentive, and refined - world class. The rooms are small but comfortable, and very well insulated for sound. Excellent bedding. The bathrooms are equally stunning, but the bathtubs are quite high off the floor and a little dangerous to exit Our TV had some minor technical problems, and was difficult to enjoy. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, the Prince de Galles is worthy of its name ! September 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful hotel, great location Loved our family visit to hotel. Location is perfect and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Rooms were beautiful and the staff very helpful. We found the restaurant and staff to be a little stuffy and overpriced. June 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected I used Starwood points to book my two night stay. I was originally given a George V terrace view but that was changed by the hotel. In fact I saw the reservation change three times on my SPG app. I made reference to this when I checked in but was ignored. However the room had a nice large terrace but unfortunately I had to listen to everyone below in the restaurant lounge area morning and night. My room smelled of mold and cheese. Bathroom was nice. Room service could not seem to get my coffee order right both mornings. However, the door men are exceptionally helpful. Room was very noisy. I could constantly hear the stiletto queen above me walk around and everyone's cell phone alarms (including the vibrating cells) going off. July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Time Paris Paris was our last leg of our three week vacation that took us through four countries staying only at Starwood properties. We hadn't been to the Price de Galle and was looking forward to seeing the new renovations. Well all I can say is wow great job! The hotel was beautiful, the staff was amazing and made our 11 year old sons first trip to Paris Special. We had a Mosaic Suite with a HUGE terrace where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. Well done Starwood. July 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Just an average hotel SPG needs at least one proper luxury hotel in Paris, which PDG is not, regrettably. Room 618 specific observations: - tiny pocky room just big enough to accommodate a double bed - terrace with the view of Paris one would never remember - no wardrobe, rather a niche to squeeze some clothes in - bathroom would be considered obsolete even in 20th century - squeaky sliding bathroom door that could be heard on other floors - toilet with no bidet - shower over bathtub with no water pressure - toiletries full of harmful chemicals and parabens - sticky carpets - smelly mouldy pillows - noisy ventilation - every word said in the corridor can be heard in the room and vice versa - generally mean accommodation June 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tres Bien Everything was excellent especially the surprisingly comfortable private spa/massage room downstairs. You have a wonderful hotel and location. July 7, 2014
