The hotel is magnificently redone with attention to quality and materials. It is a modern statement of elegance with a touch of charm from the 40s era. The staff was all about customer service and paid close mindful effort to any details or personal needs. The room was exquisite. Stayed in a Maccasar suite and it was perfectly done. Impressed by the concierge staff and the doormen...perhaps the check in staff was new - but they were on point - after a few mistakes. The hotel lounge was warm and staff was very attentive as well. Don't miss this if you have the opportunity to visit Paris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by cowboylolo Beautiful modern hotel
This beautifully modernized Paris hotel reopened this Spring after a 2-1/2 year multi-million-dollar investment by its owners, completely reimagining a luxury hotel. We spent five days here in September. The hotel is brand spanking new with a modern elegance throughout. We used extra points to book an upgrade-level Art Deco room, because we wanted a balcony on the street out front (Georges V). There appear to be a number of larger rooms and suites on some floors, but this time we were not upgraded (although Platinum) above the level we booked. Be aware that most of the rooms open only onto a fairly small interior atrium--no balconies, just windows--and there is somewhat insipid music playing all day and evening on the patio below, which also serves as a bar and breakfast venue. Privacy seemed better on the street side as well.
Our room, however, was great--not huge, but large enough. The small balcony had a table and two chairs from which to observe the street scene, yet closing the door made the room quiet. I have never been in a hotel room with better lighting. There was task lighting everywhere, much of it on rheostats. The modern switches were intuitive, the bathroom lighting was outstanding, and there was even a switch for soft night lights. Outlets for charging, etc., were generous. The room had adequate hanging space and storage (although a desk drawer was curiously missing). The very large bathroom had plenty of racks for towels (something that is often missing in European hotels), copious counter space, a nicely sized shower, and abundant towels, robes, and amenities. Even the WiFi was super fast (and free).
Staff was for the most part very friendly and accommodating, especially the concierge staff (Mathieu and others) and Anne, our adorable server at breakfast.
As with most expensive hotels, prices for food and services seemed steep even by Parisian standards, but the experience was a delightful one. We had an incredibly creative dinner at La Scene, the fine dining venue, with beautiful food and attentive service. Some might find the choices too limited; study the menu to decide for yourself. Taking the Platinum free continental breakfast saved us $100 a day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by beeper Loved everything about the hotel
There is a Metro stop on George V so you can walk there in under 10 minutes. We had a stunning suite, and loved every detail in the remodel plus the luxurious bedding, bath amenities, lighting features throughout, furnishings, tv in the mirror in the living room, and unique desk set up in the living room. The staff is A+ throughout the hotel. We prefer using public transportation, and the concierges patiently helped us find our way on the Metro. Lots of restaurants nearby, and mostly high end shopping. Dining room staff is wonderful, and went out of their way to provide a delicious breakfast even with our requests for skim milk, nuts for our cereal, extra hot cappuccino, and that was about it. Definitely will stay there again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JF007 EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY
We spent 6 nights in Paris at the Prince de Galles , September 2013.
Location is fantastic, probably the best in Paris.
The results of the renovations are superb, with extremely high quality finishing throughout the hotel.
The staff is very attentive, and refined - world class.
The rooms are small but comfortable, and very well insulated for sound. Excellent bedding.
The bathrooms are equally stunning, but the bathtubs are quite high off the floor and a little dangerous to exit
Our TV had some minor technical problems, and was difficult to enjoy.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay, the Prince de Galles is worthy of its name !

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillN On my very short list of top hotels
A stunning renovation now dramatically coordinates the interior decorating and furnishings with the Art Deco architectural motifs, and any doubts I had about the wisdom of the changes (I used to stay here roughly once per year until about 5 years ago) were dispelled by this most recent visit. Service levels are extraordinarily high; I don't know whether it is the superb training, the selection of the right people to begin with, or both, but as someone who is also responsible for running a service organization, I am quite impressed by the Prince de Galles and its staff. After one night in a stylish standard room marred by noise infiltrating from an adjacent room (one complaint I have about the renovation is that the hotel should have taken the opportunity to eliminate the annoying doors that can be used to connect rooms) we were moved to a wonderful "Mosaic Suite" with a nice balcony, essentially a pied a terre, for the rest of our stay. This step by the hotel locally took much of the sting out of my on-going disappointment with Starwood's essentially valueless "Suite Night Award" program, which has not yet yielded me anything in my four attempts to redeem the award. A stunning bar, interior courtyard for lighter meals, and a solid but light-hearted gourmet dining room complete this fantastic package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jay32 This hotel is outstanding, with a few minor exceptions.
The staff is as good as you will find in the very best hotels, world wide. The public rooms are attractive and comfortable.
However some of the rooms are very small, especially if they are for two persons for a stay in excess of one or two nights.
The bathrooms are well appointed and attractive, however, the tub/shower combinations are very difficult and unsafe for the elderly, as the tub walls are quite high and difficult to climb over.
As much as I enjoyed this facility, I would not return unless I could be guaranteed a larger room.

I originally booked at another hotel in Paris & after first night didn't think it was worth the money i was paying. I pulled some listings from internet & walked around the area for a couple hours scouting a new hotel to stay at. When I was shown the room I could stay in at Prince de Galles, I moved the same day!! Staff was courteous, helpful & pleasant the whole visit. Food was outstanding, room was outstanding w a balcony overlooking Paris!! Make sure you check them out when looking for a place to stay in Paris.
