Rated 2 out of 5 by Justin26 Staff responsiveness needs improvement
We booked four rooms in total and had trouble opening the doors of two. We made three calls and waited more than 20 minutes for an attendant to come and get it done.
It took us more than 10 minutes to both check in and check out.
At breakfast there was no cook on duty to serve freshly fried eggs.
It seems that either the hotel was short of staff or the staff responsiveness was rather unsatisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mathy Great hotel and Staff
We stay there for the Easter holiday. The Front manager, Emma and David are very nice. They upgrade our room to lake view suite. The room is big, clean and the lake view is very nice.
The Chinese restaurant is excellent and we love their soup and Qing Yuan chicken a lot.
I will visit Sheraton Qing Yuan again in the future!!

1 night guys getaway at the 2 bedrooms Ambassador suite and adjoining Signature suite.
Easy access from downtown Qingyuan and Guangzhou.A very warm welcome from Danny and his team during check in.
Spacious rooms and stunning layouts. Beautiful welcome fruit platters. Automatic toilets and spectacular in room spa.
Dined at the Yue Chinese restaurant on the date of arrival for lunch. Tried both roast and Qingyuan style chicken, among other local delicacies. Brilliant presentation and absolutely delicious.
Enjoyed sun tan beside the outdoor pool, the only downside was the requirement of using a swimming cap, in the pool which was full of leaves anyway. Please remove this nonsense so people can really enjoy the "outdoor" pool.
Alcohol selection during Happy Hours in the Club Lounge was fair. We were the only Platinum/full paying Executive Floor guests. The staff were attentive and helpful. For those used to imported sparking water, you will be disappointed like I did. The food was just alright if you have no idea what to eat for dinner. No breakfast was served in the Club Lounge so prepare yourself to be surrounded by screaming kids and large tour groups in the Feast Restaurant during breakfast.
The fountain show was good, and indeed very good if you have not been to Vegas.
Breakfast selections in the Feast Restaurant were fair but as stated earlier, overcrowded and noisy.
Overall a very good stay with a few friends. Danny deserves the credit of looking after his elite SPG members. Well done Danny and I will certainly return to Sheraton Qingyuan because the efforts you and your team have dedicated to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nrupesh Great Location, Staff and facilities need to improve. Very limited choice of food/beverages.
We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The location is ideal for getting away from busy cities like Guangzhou/Foshan/Shenzhen.
There are a few issues we found that needed a lot of improvement. It almost seems like the hotel used to be very good but now they haven't given any attention to maintaining it.
1) When we checked in, I gave my SPG Card however they didn't put the number into the system, I had to go the next morning and ask them to do it. The checkin manager spoke very limited english and didnt seem happy to receive customers.
2) The choice of food was severely limited. The quality of the food ( Soups, Pizzas, Pasta, Curries everything we tried ) was very bad, most of the time it lacked salt and didnt taste as it should. Again, not what we expect from Sheraton. For a hotel this big, a lot of the things on the menu were not available. Some dishes had the symbol stating it was vegetarian however it contained pork AND shrimps!
The Italian restaurant Bene looks like it hasnt been cleaned in weeks, the tables are dirty and it feels like a 3star restaurant.
3) No staff at the swimming pools, no option to just sit next to the pools and relax as you HAVE to walk through the showers to get to the swimming areas!!
4) The critical staff ( Front desk, Guest Services ) need to speak better english.
5) SPG Lounge closed, the lobby bar doesnt have a functioning AC, takes 20 minutes to make a hot chocolate.
We'd still come back for a weekend here just for the location, but well prepared and knowing what to expect.
