I enjoyed, my stay. The 10th floor suite was beautifully decorated and had an amazing view of the Charles.
I look forward to staying at the Liberty again.

This hotel was fabulous. The drinks in the lobby bar were amazing...food was amazing...staff was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is a great property that is pushing a luxury hotel that is a club. I think the idea could work, but the Libery's execution is flawed. Having a club at the entrance of the hotel is a poor idea. While it is entertaining to walk into, it creates a mass of logistical and potentially legal problems. Having cars pull up to where the club entrance is creates an unsafe environment. Walking into the hotel lobby through two "clubs" is interesting, but as someone checking into the hotel and expecting to have a more relaxed atmosphere, the concept fails miserably. If the entrance was seperated from the "club" entrance perhaps the concept would work better.
In addition to this design flaw, the staff are rather pretentious and generally unhelpful. The restaurant service was slow, the Valet brought up the wrong car and also argued with me when I arrived. The front desk was reasonable.
I was very surprised at the lack of service and attention to detail at the hotel and think that by including the "clubs", the hotel makes it very difficult to enjoy the experience.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would suggest that there are plenty of better options in Boston to stay at.

When I called to get a reservation for my party for dinner (which I did in advance of my stay) at either scampo or clink, they were unable to accomodate us, and did not give us any options for alternative solutions. I had to cut my party down to 6 people for dinner (which I held at Scampo; great food).
Also, if I wanted to reserve a table on the 2nd floor catwalk for 10 people we had to spend a minimum of $400 which seems a bit steep for a guest who is already paying to stay at the hotel. I'm sure they have their reasons for this, but as a guest I was hoping for better service.
Furthermore, when I had to push our reservation on the catwalk back 30 minutes, the front desk connected me to clink by mistake and, although I wasn't on their list, they pushed my nonexistent reservation back. When I went to the catwalk, they had given away our table to someone else. Luckily the hostess was able to get us another table, but with all the other issues, it just left a sour taste in our mouths.
I think the liberty hotel is a beautiful hotel, and the rooms are wonderful for an overnight stay, but the local may not be good for parties or events larger than 6.

We picked the Liberty because we primarily wanted an upper end hotel in the Beacon Hill area to stay for our anniversary. The hotel was recommended to us by some friends. We found the Liberty to be a very nice hotel and we were impressed by how clean the rooms were kept. There were a few things though that we found unsatisfying. We upgraded and paid for a city view. What we got was an obstructed view of the city that could only be seen above the roof of the hotel's other multi floor wing. When we made the reservation we assumed we’d be looking out the window and seeing a full city view. This wasn't the case. I think it was a little misleading. The fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work and most importantly we were awakened at 5:30 in the morning by the fire alarm. We went down to the lobby only to find out that we could go back upstairs. We were told by the staff that something in the kitchen had set the alarm off. So much for sleeping in on Saturday morning. I emailed the hotel’s GM and to date haven’t received a response. I realize things can happen but this is all stuff one would expect to find at a lower end chain hotel. We were expecting a little more.
