Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel! Everything about this hotel met or exceeded our expectations. It was clean, new, had a great heated indoor pool, gym & large rooms with separated sitting area. The area was nice too. A lot of restaurants and shopping close by. Totally worth the money or points. July 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice stay Stay here for one night for a business trip. A nice stay overall, nice, room and lobby are functional and clean, restaurant is nice, and friendly staff everywhere. Got double charged on breakfast but got this problem solved very quickly. Overall, it's a nice experience for my short stay. November 9, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Uncomfortable and Non-accommodating Vending machines are broken (all soda machines). The shower was out of shower gel in the container, the refrigerator would not get cold. The bed was very uncomfortable. This is by far the worse and most uncomfortable experience I've encountered at a hotel. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. September 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Facilities I live in the area and wanted to have a nice get away. Since I was so impressed with the room and the "said" amenities that I booked another night at the same great rate because I checked in too late to use the gym/pool/whirlpool. So i figure I could sleep in late and get in before breakfast. The jets are going but there is this smell. I go ahead and step in and the water was NOT HOT and I realized the smell was coming from the water! I got out, called the front desk to be told that an out of order sign should have been on it and when i checked later there was still no sign. I did not even sleep there. I left...I will say the housekeeping mgr was very very kind to me and though the housekeepers could not speak a lick of English I was able to communicate with them with the little Spanish I knew. So if you go it is good but called before you book!! March 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by It's all in the Details On a recent trip to Memphis, TN, I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my mother and 2 young daughters. For the most part, we really did enjoy our stay. The hotel was clean and conveniently located centrally to everything we wanted to visit and do! However, the room clearly had some maintenance issues: 1. No door handle on the outside of the bathroom door - it’s a good thing my kids didn’t close the bathroom door behind them…I would not have been able to get them out! 2. Ceiling vent was not properly attached 3. Missing light fixture in the bathroom – with exposed wires 4. Broken door lock – door didn’t close properly I understand the need to fill all possible room – and many times, if the hotel is booked, customers like me appreciate just having a place to stay – but this is unacceptable. Furthermore, when I brought it the staff’s attention upon checking in, they didn’t seem bothered or very apologetic. I realize that not much could be done at that point, but a sincere “I’m sorry” goes a long way. Also, they staff member on duty was not willing to credit my SPG account, as my mom was covering the cost of the room. We stayed at a Starwood property because I'm loyal - not sure I'll be that loyal anymore. It was a nice enough hotel - but the 5 star rating is all in the details. September 25, 2013
