Nadi International Airport (NAN) can be reached in 12 minutes by helicopter, 15 minutes by seaplane, or a little over an hour by speedboat.
Discover the warm blue waters, white sand beaches, and natural tropical beauty of one of Fiji’s most popular destinations. Encircled by coral reefs just 200 meters from the resort, the Mamanucas are teaming with abundant marine life that can be admired while diving or snorkeling. Not far away, both Big W and Gotham City are famous dive sites. Participate in such water sports as parasailing, windsurfing, dolphin watching, surfing, and fishing, or play a game of beach volleyball.
Visit a local village to learn about Fiji’s fascinating blend of diverse cultures. Be sure to attend a traditional kava root ceremony. Listen to indigenous music played on Fujian drums known as lali. Or take a short boat ride to see a giant clam farm.
Fiji is famous for its colorful sulus (sarongs), black pearls, tapa cloth items, and wooden handicrafts. Delight in some delicious seafood—including mahi mahi, snapper, mackerel, and octopus—or a traditional dish called kokoda. Similar to ceviche, it is made with whitefish that has been marinated in coconut cream, lime juice, onions, and tomatoes. Comprising fish, pork, chicken and vegetables, lovo is cooked in a shallow pit. Fijian asparagus (duruka) and taro are also popular.
