In the skillful hands of Chef Paul Carter, traditional plates of regional specialties transport guests to their favorite Italian hideaway. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus include breads crafted by The Phoenician Resort’s own artisans, and are polished off with a rich, short espresso. Guests, however, are encouraged to take their time – savoring the rich flavor of monkfish wrapped in prosciutto with carmelized fennel, roasted fingerling potatoes, charred scallion, and marsala or the tempting veal chop, pounded and crusted with wild arugula, cherry tomatoes, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and lemon.
The house pasta, also handcrafted, is an elegant way to ease into your feast at Il Terrazzo. The Cinghiale – handmade gnocchi with wild boar ragu and crispy onions – is highly recommended. Another menu highlight is the Agnolotti, which features pasta packets filled with sweet corn, mascarpone, goat cheese, thyme, and a brown butter sage sauce.
Begin your week with Il Terrazzo’s popular Sunday Brunch, which combines traditional favorites with the unmistakable flavors of Southern Europe. A long list of expertly selected formaggi and delectable desserts including Tiramisu and Torta di Ricotta are a welcome addition to any meal.
The Phoenician Resort’s signature Bellini (available in a variety of flavors ranging from Pomegranate to Vanilla Pear) is a wonderful choice among a long list of distinct beverages and spirits. Our Master Sommelier selects The “Tredici” – a baker’s dozen of Italian boutique wines served daily by the glass.
Il Terrazzo brings the true essence of the “bel paese” to the Sonoran Desert.
