A fresh tribute to traditional Sardinian and Mediterranean cuisine, the Cala di Volpe Restaurant at Hotel Cala di Volpe has long been the undisputed gourmet's choice for guests along the entire Costa Smeralda. The restaurant’s elegant white stucco arches, exquisite handcrafted Sardinian furnishings in hues of red, yellow, and gold, and terracotta tile floor set the stage for an unforgettable meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame spectacular views of the sea, while the soft flicker of candles imitate the glittering lights strung around the harbour.

Executive Chef Franco Guardone and his stellar team of 35 assistants preside over the kitchen, creating a sumptuous menu of Mediterranean specialties on a daily basis. His legendary buffets boast an unrivalled selection of antipasti, inspired by regional recipes using the freshest local produce, cheeses, meats, and seafood.

His passion for locally-inspired dishes is evident in the creamy lightness of the ricotta-stuffed squash, the salty bite of house cured Sardinian ham, or the unexpected textures of fresh cannelloni stuffed with chopped beef and smothered in a velvety béchamel. His signature dish "Fregola"—a Sardinian durum wheat pasta served with a delicate seafood and vegetable sauce—should not be missed. Guests may sample from over 100 appetisers, before choosing a piece of fish or meat, which is grilled to perfection over an open wood fire by Chef Guardone himself.

The dessert buffet—created every night by Executive Pastry Chef Antonio Vallana—is equally impressive. Homemade Italian gelatos, traditional cakes flavoured with Sardinian honeys and almonds, creamy custards, stewed fruit compotes, and decadent puddings are just some of the popular choices bound to please the most ardent sweet tooth.

For parents wishing to enjoy a little private time, the restaurant offers a separate dining area dedicated to children eight years of age or older from 7pm to 8:30pm every evening. Our Maître’d will personally attend to any of your children’s special dinner requests.
