Exclusive Transportation to Resort
The quickest transportation to the resort is via Malé Seaplane Airport. Arrival flight information is required so that the resort can make seaplane reservations.
- The travel time is approximately 45 minutes to the resort. Seaplane round trip cost is 430 USD per person. Seaplane operates during daylight hours only between 6am and 3:30pm. Maximum baggage per person is 25 kg. Please contact the resort for further information and to confirm transportation. Actual seaplane schedule will be determined a day prior to arrival/departure.
For guests arriving or departing between 3:30pm and 6am, due to the unavailability of the seaplane, the resort can arrange an alternative mode of transportation to/from the airport (MLE) via speedboat. The total journey time is approximately 2 hours (depending on sea condition). The speedboat can take a maximum of 12 guests per boat including luggage. The timing and pricing of the speedboat transfer is as follows:
- From the resort to the airport (MLE) at 7pm and from the airport (MLE) to the resort at 11pm is 250 USD per person each way (subject to a 10% service charge and a 8% GST). We will require flight details including arrival time and flight number for the arrangement for either the seaplane or speedboat transfer.
Please note that seaplanes only operate between 6am to 3:30pm based on scheduled timing and current weather conditions. The hotel will not take responsibility for supplementary charges incurred as a result of seaplane transfers being cancelled by Maldivian Air Taxi.

W Retreat & Spa - Maldives children policy: due to the design of our accommodations and the general layout and facilities of the retreat, it is not suited for guests below the age of 13. The retreat regrets that reservations that include children under the age of 13 cannot be honored. Please contact the resort for further information at email@example.com.
For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card. Compulsory New Year’s Eve Dinner: December 31, 2013
There will be a compulsory New Year's Eve dinner supplement for all guests staying over or arriving on December 31, 2013. The rate is 386 USD per adult. This will be automatically added to the room bill. Please contact the resort for further information.
Early Arrival/Late Departure Policy
The standard resort check in time is 2pm and the standard check out is 12pm. Guests wishing to have their room available due to early arrival or for late departure will be subject to room availability. The resort will try its best to accommodate however it cannot be guaranteed.
Family Plan Policy
The resort cannot accept children below 13 years of age due to the layout of the resort. Please contact the resort for further information.
Non-Resort Guests and Visitors
Non-staying guests and visitors are not allowed in the resort. In the event of special celebrations; i.e. weddings, parties, private dinners, etc, invited guests must stay overnight in the resort.
Pets are not allowed.
The resort accepts cash payments in U.S. dollars and euros only. Due to rules established by Maldivian banks, the resort is not able to accept USD notes from the 1990s or any note that is damaged (e.g., torn, dirty, pen marks). The resort does not accept traveler’s checks.
Room reservation must be made at least 3 days prior to arrival. Last minute bookings will be subject to availability at the discretion of the resort due to logistical limitations. Flight details must be provided at the time of the reservation to confirm transfer arrangements to and from the resort.
SPG Participation Disclaimer
All rooms at the W Retreat & Spa - Maldives are villas; therefore, Starpoint Award reservations must be booked at a higher Starpoint rate through your local customer contact center.
