W Retreat & Spa - Maldives children policy: due to the design of our accommodations and the general layout and facilities of the retreat, it is not suited for guests below the age of 13. The retreat regrets that reservations that include children under the age of 13 cannot be honored. Please contact the resort for further information at reservations.wmaldives@whotels.com.

Currency Fluctuations

For non-US hotels, rates confirmed in USD may be converted to local currency by the hotel at your time of stay, based on the exchange rate used by the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.  Credit card charges are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within the hotel's control and may impact the amount charged to your credit card.  Please contact the hotel if you have any questions.

Seaplane Transfer Information

The quickest transportation to the resort is via Malé Seaplane Airport. The resort requires arrival and departure flight information before making seaplane reservations. Please click here to share flight details with our reservations team.

  • Travel time to the resort is approximately 45 minutes.
  • Until October 31, the roundtrip seaplane fee is 430 USD per person. From November 1 to December 25, the roundtrip seaplane fee is 446 USD per person.
  • The seaplane operates only during daylight hours, between 6am and 3:30pm.
  • The maximum baggage allowance per person is 25 kilograms. The excess baggage fee is 5 USD per kilogram.

Please contact the resort for more information or to confirm transportation. The actual seaplane schedule will be determined one day prior to arrival or departure.

For guests arriving or departing between 3:30pm and 6:00am (when the seaplane is unavailable), the resort can arrange alternate transportation to or from the airport (MLE) via speedboat. The total journey time is approximately two hours, depending on sea conditions. The speedboat can take a maximum of 12 guests, including luggage. The timing and pricing of the speedboat transfer is as follows:

  • • From the resort to the airport at 7pm, and from the airport to the resort at 11pm, the fee is 300 USD per person each way (subject to a 10% service charge and GST tax). A supplemental fee of 300 USD per transfer will be charged if less than four passengers are aboard. Click here to learn more about the Terms & Conditions.

The resort requires flight details, including arrival time and flight number, for the arrangement any seaplane or speedboat transfer.

Please note that seaplanes only operate between 6:00am to 3:30pm based on scheduled timing and current weather conditions. The hotel will not take responsibility for supplementary charges incurred as a result of seaplane transfers being cancelled by Trans Maldivian Airways.

FISH Restaurant Closed: August 15 - October 1, 2014

From August 15 until October 1, 2014, FISH Restaurant will be closed for restyling. During this time all other venues will remain open. Please contact the retreat at WMaldives.Welcome@whotels.com for further information.

Goods and Services Tax Increase on November 1, 2014

On November 1, 2014, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 8% will increase to 12%. The tax applies to room rates, meals, transfers, service charges and all other services purchased at the resort. Implemented by the Maldivian Government, this tax increase applies to any tourist establishment. Please contact the resort for further information.

Compulsory New Year’s Eve Dinner: December 31, 2014

There will be a compulsory New Year's Eve dinner supplement for all guests staying over or arriving on December 31, 2014. The rate is 616 USD per adult. This will be automatically added to the room bill. Please contact the resort for further information.

Política sobre llegadas anticipadas y salidas después de la hora establecida

Huéspedes y visitantes que no se alojen en el centro vacacional

No se permite el acceso a los huéspedes y visitantes que no se alojen en el centro vacacional. En el caso de celebraciones especiales, como bodas, fiestas, cenas privadas, etc., los invitados deben pasar la noche en el centro vacacional.

Política sobre mascotas

No se permiten mascotas.

Política de pagos

El centro vacacional solo acepta el pago en efectivo si se efectúa en dólares estadounidenses o en euros. Conforme a las leyes establecidas por los bancos de las Maldivas, el centro vacacional no acepta billetes de dólares estadounidenses emitidos en la década de 1990 ni billetes que estén dañados, sucios o con marcas de bolígrafos. El centro vacacional no acepta cheques de viajeros.

Política de reservas

La reserva de habitaciones debe hacerse con un mínimo de tres días de antelación a la llegada. Las reservas de última hora estarán sujetas a la disponibilidad, a discreción del centro vacacional, debido a limitaciones logísticas. En el momento de la reserva se requieren los datos del vuelo, para poder organizar el servicio de traslado hacia y desde el centro vacacional.

Renuncia de Responsabilidad por Participación en SPG

Todas las habitaciones del W Retreat & Spa - Maldivas son villas, por lo tanto, las reservaciones de premios con Starpoints se deben reservar con una tarifa de Starpoints más alta a través de su centro de atención a clientes local.
