Hotel Policies

ADA Policy

The resort has five guest rooms that meet all local municipal building code requirements for disability accessible rooms, as well as Access Canada's level 2 requirements.

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 19 years or older (with valid identification).

Age Requirement Policy

Guests must be 19 years or older with photo identification to reserve a room.

Check Acceptance Policy

The resort does not accept personal checks as payment.

Gift Certificate Acceptance Policy

The resort accepts two types of Gift Certificates: paper ones that start with a P or a G and 4 digits and Bear Mountain Resort Gift Cards. 

ID Requirement

All guests checking into the resort are required to show valid, government-issued, photo ID as well as a credit card for payment.

Pet Policy

We have a limited selection of pet-friendly guest rooms and suites in our Fairways building, and guests who book one are welcome to bring a dog weighing up to 40 pounds. No other pets are permitted. We are happy to provide a Westin Heavenly Dog Bed, pet welcome kit, and food bowls with mat. A $20 CAD mandatory per night cleaning fee will be charged upon departure based on the following:

• If a guest stays 1 night it is $20
• If a guest stays 2 night’s it is $40
• If a guest stays more than 2 nights, the charge remains at $40

Our pet fee is now subject to 12% tax.

Service animals that provide assistance to individuals with disabilities are not considered pets. They are welcome at the hotel and are not subject to the policies and restrictions that apply to pets or other animals

Credit/Debit Card Policy

Debit and Credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. If a debit card was provided as payment, a cash refund will be provided for funds held in excess of the amount actually incurred and charged.

Resort Charge Policy

Guests will be charged a resort charge of 15 CAD plus taxes (17.25 CAD) per day, which covers access to the Mountainside Athletic Club, unlimited local and toll-free telephone calls, unlimited High Speed Internet Access in guest rooms and public areas, golf-bag storage, and self-parking in our on-site facilities.

Smoking Policy

We are a smoke-free resort. All guest rooms, suites, and public spaces inside the resort buildings are 100% smoke-free. Under the Breathe WestinTM program, registered guests who smoke in a guest room or suite could be liable for an additional fee of $200 CAD so the room can be sufficiently cleaned and ready for the next guest.
