This is by far my new favourite Starwood property. The staff are professional and courteous, the facilities and location superb and the buffet breakfast delicious! We were upgraded to a Premium Terrace view with a huge terrace with sunbeds and a panoramic view of the ocean, which is worth paying a premium for even if you are not lucky enough to get an upgrade. There are some lovely restaurants in Caleta, which is a 15 minute walk and some good bars along the coast in the other direction towards Los Christianos, also within easy walking distance. This is our fourth time at this hotel within the last two years and I fully expect to be back for a long weekend again before the year is out.

Just returned from a week's holiday in this lovely hotel.
The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was of a very good standard with a good variety available in the evening buffet.
We had free wifi in our room.
Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Sheraton Adeje for 7 nights over Easter and in all it is a good resort hotel. Good restaurants, easy distance from airport, plenty of loungers around the 2 pools and the Club Lounge facilities are excellent. Would definitely return for another visit.

Chose Sheraton at La Caleta as looking for sunshine and quality break-Sheraton did the business! Excellent hotel first class staff comfortable room - met all requirements. My only observation would be that my wife and I did not wish to have a fixed price three course meal every night and so would have been good to have had the option of a lighter meal at a lesser price as an option such as that provded at the Italian pool restaurant - unfortunately this closed at 5.30 p.m. Appreciate that of course the hotel caters for high level of business clients with requirements that differ from those of us choosing the hotel for a holiday!! However fully recommend - an excellent quality hotel.

Having stayed in various hotels in the Costa Adeje area we find this one the most acceptable to us, due to the cost/benefit ratio. The building is well maintained and the staff efficient and friendly. We will certainly look to go there again in Winter next year. However, the staff seriously need training in tea making.

Love this hot e l the location perfect the staff so friendly and welcoming the food excellent and a good choice for all but didn't like the fact that there was smoking in the restaurant and they expensive internet access of €20 a day and the bath towels to small it's was our second time here and we are hoping to book again for next year

This hotel is simply fabulous!
Beautifully maintained, rooms & grounds, pool area immaculate. staff simply wonderful, in particular Theresa & the girls in the kids club. We had a fabulous , relaxing time & cannot wait to go back.

If you like resort-style hotels but don't like crowds of people, cramped rooms, hectic eating facilities and too many goings-on this is the one for you!
This is a very spacious property with a very open feel about it throughout. All the rooms are spacious and so are all the public areas and facilties. And that is the most important feature of the hotel which makes it stand out.
The highlight is the main pool area with surrounding sundecks and gardens - simply wonderful. No shortage of good quality sunbeds here and you can have plenty of personal space as, unlike many similar hotels, the beds aren't lined up in rows right close to each other. They have recently begun supplying mattresses for the sunbeds - a fantastic addition which increases their level of comfort even more.
The hotel staff are very professional, polite and attentive without being at all intrusive, which is what I like.
The location of the hotel is also very good - in a newly developed area of the coastline far away from the more lively areas of Playa des Las Americas and Los Cristianos. 15 minutes walk away is the quaint fishing village of La Caleta where there are some traditional restaurants. Walk the other way along the Promenade and you can reach the end of Los Cristianos in about 1.5 hours (3 hours roundtrip) - that enables you to see the "other side" of Tenerife and is a perfect activity if you get a cloudy day!
I have only have two criticisms of this hotel. First is the cost of the buffet dinner in the evening (36 Euros per head without drinks) which pretty much forces you to go out as there is wide choice of much cheaper within easy walking distance. Second is not having free Internet throughout the hotel - you can't enjoy your daily internet routine on your handheld devices in your room or around the pool unless you pay for it, which is a great shame in my view; you are forced to go up into the special free internet area called The Link, which is a lot of effort if you only need to send a quick E Mail to Aunty Flo back home! Hopefully both these issues can be addressed by the hotel very soon.
Travel Tip : If you are quite an independent traveller there is a regular local bus service near the hotel which takes you to the Costa Adeje Bus Station from where you can get local buses to a long list of places, including direct to the South and North Airports. It costs 1.45 Euros to the Bus Station and 3.55 Euros from there to the South Airport. There is a Café at the Bus Station where you can buy a "BONO CARD" for 15 Euros which automatically gets you around 30% off all bus fares compared with paying each time with Cash ! Again, the buses are a good option if you get a cloudy day.
Mind you, the level of upscale space and comfort provided by this hotel is so impressive that unless there are clouds you won't want to leave it !

Apparently the pump for the only two freshwater pools ‘broke’ overnight on the Sunday night and yet, conveniently there were twelve workmen ready to start work, first thing on the Monday morning, cordoning off the pool to look like a crime scene and turning the hotel into a building site with drilling, chipping, cleaning and painting the pools for five days! No freshwater pools for our holiday, no hoist for the disabled guests and disingenuous of the hotel not to inform these guests that maintenance work was going to be carried out. We were told by one of the pool boys that is was maintenance work. La Venta, Spanish restaurant – possibly the worst Paella I have been offered, ever. Rice uncooked enough to be unwise to eat. Totally different from previous years food in this restaurant. We had booked for a fourth year and have now cancelled this booking.

Ice machine on our floor and our room safe not working. Called to report on the Saturday - nothing done about either until I went to reception in person - then only the room safe attended to - promptly failed again 3 days later. Ice machine engineer arrived the following Friday - as we were leaving. Mysteriously the two freshwater pools were drained overnight Sunday 14th because of a serious problem in the pump room - very suspiciously the dry, empty pools were descended upon by over a dozen workmen first thing on the Monday morning - sounds like scheduled maintenance to me.....it turned the area into a cordoned off building site nonetheless for the rest of our stay. Thankfully Kamakura (Japanese Restaurant) was open this time unlike our stay in 2013 as the Spanish restaurant, La Venta had deteriorated very badly from last year - stewed prawns in old smelling garlic oil, inedible, undercooked Paella, dried out and overcooked lobster that was not fresh into the bargain - a far cry from the excellent dinners we enjoyed last year.

Big, comfortable rooms. Very small inadequate balcony with no sun at all. Food at breakfast and main restaurant evening was utterly appalling,Spanish restaurant marginally better, Japanese restaurant the best of the options,we had to eat out by the end of the week due to hunger. Bar service was very poor, inadequately staffed for number of guests. Entertainment was very poor, virtually non existent. Lack of sufficient sunbeds for number of guests.Very good Spa facility but at additional daily cost per person just to enter but this was the only place to sit due to lack of sunbeds in main areas.

Main restaurant had a very enjoyable breakfast selection but the evening buffet, while plentiful , is not a standard of a 4star hotel. It is also grossly overpriced at 36 euros per head. Fortunately there is an excellent restaurant across the road with much better value for money .
This really detracts from what is a beautiful hotel with lovely Staff and facilities.

To say that this is a great hotel is an understatement. When we arrived at the hotel for a 2 week stay, my wife and I were given an unexpected room upgrade which was superb!
The registration staff were always helpful and cheerful not just on our arrival but every time we approached them with a question or request.
The entire hotel was very clean and special praise to the ground-staff who tended the gardens and the lifeguards on duty who were excellent.
The spa is a well maintained gem of an oasis with indoor as well as outdoor facilities.
The setting for the large expansive salt water pool was picturesque and relaxing. There was plenty of sunbed space even when the area was full. Although we did not use either of the 2 fresh water pools they both looked inviting.
In conclusion, both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and we would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. We will most certainly be making a return visit in the near future.

I spent less than 24 hours in this hotel as I am a business traveller with 20+ years of relentless worldwide travel under my belt. That means that I know exactly what I want and expect a certain MINIMUM level of quality in a 5 star hotel. Sadly the Sheraton here missed the mark:-(
Business traveller's want and expect speedy WORKING WIFI upon check-in. Mine stopped working after 10 minutes and never resumed. And just to be sure it wasn't an issue with my laptop, I even tried to log on via my iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and second laptop. None worked:-(
The room decor was very dated and drab, there was NO minibar in the room and the small fridge that I had was totally empty. The late night room service menu was really poor and bizarre (nachos? in SPAIN??).
I had a large suite on the club floor and there was no telephone in the bedroom.
The gym was small for a large resort hotel but nice; yet NONE of the treadmill machines had a working TV signal on their monitors. Also I saw no signs to lead me to the gym. Just signs that lead to the spa which is where the gym is located. There's an elevator down a corridor not far from reception that leads directly to the gym area but of course you'd never know that cause there's no sign:-(
I did not get a chance to walk the outdoor grounds, the beach, eat at one of the restaurants, order room service or visit the spa.
The search for a quality hotel in tenerife goes on...

This was our 4th stay at the hotel (bed and breakfast) and 3rd with the kids. Another great stay and relaxing holiday with service by all teams (bar, restaurant, reception, concierge) excellent with yet again a special mention for the staff in the kids club.
The hotel is in need of a refresh in places with the pool area (tiles in the middle pool and surrounds of salt water) now showing visible wear and tear. Addition of new furniture to the terrace bar is good but should have been a replacement of all as opposed add to.
Overall another great stay and will no doubt be returning in the years to come.

Just back from relaxing hotel at La Caleta Sheraton. Excellent service all round. special mention for extra special service to David and the little girl from Curacao on Pool service. Lester, Maikke,Jose (manager) and Karolina ( manageress) who started our day so well in El Parador. Please tell Faisal in Pool cafe to concentrate on customers orders instead of looking around as he got our order wrong.Well sorted by Giovanni but our only let down.

This was our third stay at this hotel. We are trying it at different times of the year. We stayed at the end of March this time ............very good attention from the staff and good recognition of SPG status, which counts a lot for me since I am finding this is not always the case at Sheratons and Westins around the World.
Food and Facilities were excellent .....good that the mattresses for the sunbeds are being continued - this was a great enhancement to the hotel's service offering over the last Winter Season
Our only complaint was that the lower, larger pool was not heated .......many people using the sundecks but only one or two brave enough to use the pool. Although it was the last week of March the water was just too cold.

I am a platinum member and know very well the Starwood properties worldwide.
Up to now this is probably the best managed hotel I have been to.
Staff is proactive, efficient and very nice. Food is good and there is enough variety, the Club Lounge is perfect. The hotel is great with sea water swimming pools and a lot of vegetation.
Only minus was the bed (not very comfortable)

Had been here for a week with the family and the hotel, the location, the food and the staff in general (Other than Concierge) were brilliant. The Concierge staff were useless and otherwise, the hotel is filled with best services. The SPG recognition is great. Special mention to the kitchen staff, the chef can go normally beyond the call of duty to impress you. I tried all three restaurants and they are cool.

We enjoyed our time at this hotel, the outside areas are lovely, the rooms are well sized and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is no attractive beach area close by though. Breakfast was of a high standard but we felt the restaurant options were overpriced and not of great quality. Most guests seemed to agree and ate elsewhere in the evening.

We have just returned from a seven night stay at the Sheraton. I can honestly say that the hotel was perfect. Our room was large and spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. The hotel has a very good choice of places to eat, I would highly recommend the Japanese Restaurant. We can't wait to return.

When I signed a half board promotion with the hotel representative she did not mention all the information I needed to know.
I ended up paying much more for the service I received. Drinks (not even water) were not included, and she never told me. Should I know I would have never signed. €72/meal without water does not make any sense to me.

Everything was fine except too many noisy children. Even the club lounge was terrorised by ill-mannered kids. We were not able to stress down as we had hoped for because of all the turmoil. Restrictions on kids behavior and access to the club lounge could have saved the fifth star.
