Rated 5 out of 5 by A BULA BOWL OF BENEVOLENCE The purpose of our visit was to celebrate a family reunion and the fortieth birthday of my son. The warmth of the Fijian Sun struggled to compete with the convivial ,culturally bound hospitality extended to our family . All our expectations were exceeded and our needs met , with instant gratification from the moment we arrived, till our reluctant return to our Wintry home. Indelible memories continue to linger .....Loving family bonds strengthened by the nature and nurture of the Westin Family. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vanaka Denarau Westin Our stay was wonderful! From the welcome home greetingswhen we arrived to the farewell song sung by the staff at our last breakfast, we had a wonderful vacation! May 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by exceptional hotel and staff the fiji people are the most welcoming and accomodating people we have ever met. The hotel was beautiful with the usual comfortable beds/pillows that the Westin is known for. The Westin suits everybody, young families/couples through to older generations. Magnificent pool area with relaxed dining options. The food was excellent in every restaurant that we visited. May 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vinaka I would like to sincerely thank everyone at Westin a very special thank you for making my stay with you an amazing experience. From the welcoming drums on arrival, to the farewells from the friendly staff, my holiday was exactly the de-stressing I needed. To be addressed by name for the majority of my stay was impressive, to the invite from a staff member to attend a local rugby match in Nadi, just shows how much extra the staff put into their job. The room was of an impeccable standard when I arrived and kept that way by the village staff throughout my stay. The Meals were something to die for, in as much I was contemplating e-mailing home for family to get the builder in and widen the doors by 6 inches. The entertainment in the Meke Lounge each day was extremely pleasant and varied. Once again a very, very sincere Vinaka to all. May 8, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Maintenance work woke me up Actually, I was extremely disappointed that our room was right outside an area where they were renovating, and on both Saturday morning and Sunday morning we were woken up at 8am by trucks and timber sawing. So no, it was not relaxing at all. I do not think Westin should have put any guests in those rooms. One visits Fiji for relaxation. My "No" recommendation is based on this specific experience. Apart from that, it was a lovely hotel, even though snacks were ridiculously expensive. May 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The staff makes this hotel awesome! This hotel was very nice. There were still a few repairs underway from the damage caused by the typhoon but nothing that really impacted my visit. The staff was exceptional! Warm, greeting, helpful and just a joy to be around. When all the repairs are complete this would be my favorite Westin. May 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great place to stay Our first holiday away with our 8 month old boy. Last week of July 2012, weather was great about 30 degrees and sunny every day. A great time to go as the resort(s) weren't busy. Arrived Nadi airport and traveled to the Westin with a TTF transfer which only took about 30 mins (booked online). Check-in was fast and easy. We asked if the Cot was in the room and they said it would be shortly. We were taken to our room via a "golf buggy" vehicle. Within 10 mins reception phoned to ask if we were happy with our room (ocean view). We mentioned we were still waiting on the cot (arrived in the next 10 mins). Room was great, clean, plenty of room, a/c can stay on when you leave, bath/shower room was a "wet room". A shower curtain around the bath but not the shower! Buffet breakfast was great, lots of hot/cold options for all, including our little boy. Moo Moo restaurant was great, reasonably priced for a resort plus 20% discount if you ate between 6-7pm (plus while we were there, kids meals were free). As the neighboring Sheraton(s) are also ran by Starwood you can use their facilities and dine at their restaurants (and charge to your room). I would recommend making reservations if eating at any of the resort restaurants. We also ate at the Denarau Port where there are about 6 or so restaurants and are cheaper than the resorts. Taxi from the resort is 5 FJD each way. There is also a small supermarket at the Port. All the staff were so friendly especially with our little boy, each day many would greet him by name; our little boy loved them all. The cleaning staff were great, our little boy was sick on our bed just after they had made our room, within a few minutes she was back and changed our bed again. Pools were great, Westin had a great toddlers pool which our son loved, there was plenty of space to lounge around in the sun. Plus you also have the option of using the other Sheraton pools (about 3 to 6 min walk along the waterfront). There isn't much of a beach at the Westin and probably wouldn't want to swim in the ocean there, but they do offer a free water taxi out to the nearby island which has a beach and cleaner water. As we had our little boy with us we didn't do any day trips this time. We would love to book our next holiday here! May 11, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK for a quick stopover This hotel is well suited for those wanting to be close to the airport and/or a stepping off point for the islands etc. I would not stay here longer then 1-2 days (which is probably just as much about the Denarau area as it is about this actual property) As others have commented both here and on TripAdvisor, the hotel is in need of upgrades and is showing it's age in comparison to newer properties in the area. The staff although friendly are not "Fijian friendly" which we've been spoiled with at resorts away from Denarau. Lastly, I was disappointed with the lack of recognition for being a Gold member. I only stayed one night and despite the SPG.com site (and a few others) showing plenty of availability for the next night, I was not allowed to keep my room longer then the 4pm late checkout (even though I offered to pay) due to being at 'full capacity'. Even though I mentioned that several sites including SPG were still selling rooms for that night the front desk lady simply shrugged. I told her to mention it to the manager but again..just got a shrug! Overall everything at the resort is 'fine' but not really anything more. April 29, 2013
