I have been to this location numerous times and will be back for many more family memories. The staff is so accommodating and the amenities are always top notch. Cleanliness is a priority for my family and I have never been disappointed at this location. I would highly recommend this resort to all looking for a wonderful time in sunny Florida.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mckenna52 Rooms are amazing.
The rooms went above and beyond what I had expected. They were spacious and very well appointed. It was great having a washer and dryer in the unit. The balcony was screened in and private with a nice view of the pond and pool. The bathrooms were modern and clean and very big! The kitchen had everything you could imagine.

We just left the Sheraton Vistana (2/21) after a week in a very comfortable, spacious two bedroom suite. The central location to Disney, Universal etc. and comfortable beds, kids activiites (tennis, basketball, shuffleboard, and pool-side music entertainment) and terrific pools exceeded our expectations. We had a agreat week! Definitely will return to this location at some point in the future.

We have come to stay at this hotel many times. We have always had a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, this time was unacceptable. In our 2nd bedroom, the sheets were stuck together with a candy that had melted and pieces of the candy were also stuck in the carpet. How can I believe the room was properly cleaned? I was also sweeping up potato chips in the dining area. We didn't eat potato chips. I'm afraid the hotel that I loved really let me down this time. Upon checking out, I expressed my dissatisfaction and was told that "housekeeping would be emailed". This is how you treat a guest that stays with you twice a year?

Rated 2 out of 5 by unhappyanniversary First visit of ownership
Well, at check-in the computer system was down so there were lines all the way out the entrance. We were pulled aside after about 30 mins and the gentleman checked us in. That was great...until we got to the room. We had purchase groceries and needed to get them put away into the refrigerator, which we did. We then proceeded to unpack and put our clothes in the dresser and in the closets. First issue we had was the icemaker did not work so we called the desk and they were kind enough to send someone with a bag of ice and were advised it takes 24 hrs for icemaker to produce??? We then began to check out our room...we went out to our screened in balcony and were very disappointed to see that our view was a reservoir "pond" with a huge cement culvert sticking up 4 ft above the water. Horrible view...absolutely no plants or landscaping just a big muddy looking pond. That was quite disappointing. Then we found the bathroom sink plug stuck where the water wouldn't drain....my husband rigged that. With the toilet we had to hold down the handle until it went through the entire flush process every single time we used the toilet for 7 days straight. The king sized bed had a cheap mattress cover...not the lush pillow top mattress pad we had before we became owners. Also, we had to use the extra flat sheet in the closet to cover the sofa as it had stains and actual food stuck to it. We were so exhausted after our trip and putting everything away, I did not call the front desk to complain because I was afraid they would want to move us to another room and we were not going to re-pack everything to move. This room also could have used a full-length mirror, but did not have that either.
We expected much more for our first visit as owners...especially since we had just stayed at Vistana Villages in Orlando the previous 5 days and upgraded our ownership from a 1 bdrm bi-annual to a 2 bdrm annual. It seems that if you are there to stay as a potential "buyer" you have a beautiful room but once you "buy" the room you get is of a lower grade. We are Gold members and I should have known, but did not know, that we could have requested something nicer at check-in, however, after our upgrade we found that our Gold status was never attached to our portfolio. Have been home for a few days now and have had nothing but issues with our SPG Amex cards being linked to our account, realize that we have earned no points in the past 2 years of ownership by using our Amex cards and after 8 phone calls still no resolution of this issue. Have even called our Sales Rep who said he would be "attached" to us whenever we had issues....still waiting for him to call us back. Out of the 3 people we spoke to about fixing these issues, only 1 of them knew about SPG's dealings with Amex and 1 of them said it wasn't in her job description to fix our issues with the SPG Amex accounts and that we needed to call Amex to fix this. She was nasty and very rude and now we have "buyer's remorse" over something that shouldn't even be an issue at all...why do I have to work so hard to fix this after we just spent so much money to upgrade and instead of returning home relaxed....we need another vacation!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bostontraveler925 Great location and rooms
Overall, a great place to stay. The 2 BR unit was spacious with everything in working order. Soundproofing was only fair. Our room came with daily housekeeping but we opted for the 2 free daily breakfasts. The only negative here was that the breakfast buffet was of such poor quality that we only went for breakfast once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bonnie great stay
We just returned from 9 nights at the Sheraton Vistana.
We were in a full size one bedroom unit.
We were very pleased with our accommodations.
Only cons were you could hear your neighbors above walking around and if you had a adjoining door (no privacy at all between this door).
One other minor detail, we had housekeeping as part of our package and we noticed that dusting and cleaning the floors or vacumming was not part of the daily cleaning schedule.
We would recommend this resort even with our cons.

Rated 2 out of 5 by LoriFromBelleville Hotel maintenance and promotions need assessing
Upon check-in, and different from my 2013 visit, we were offered buffet breakfast vouchers covering two persons for the range of dates of our stay in exchange for daily housekeeping. Sounded fine initially, but we had five family members join us during our stay. They had their own 2 bedroom villa. They too chose the breakfast vouches over daily housekeeping. The restaurant did not want to accept more than one voucher per visit. They did but gave us a hard time. We had breakfast on our own for all days but two so that we could use our vouches for two breakfasts as a family. Anyway, this promotion did not work for us because we had 7 people in our party.
My one bedroom villa had some major plumbing problems in the kitchen. Our kitchen sinks and dishwasher kept backing up with water and garbage. Maintenance came quickly the first full day of our stay to remedy the situation. The plugged drain was most likely the unit under ours. The water backup problem returned and remained the remainder of our 6-night stay even though the issue was reported to the front desk in person and by phone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ingu100 Good facilities, housekeeping and rooms Just ok
My family of 2 little kids and i stayed at this resort for 3 days. Overall it was an average to good experience. The facilities are very good- lots of pools, lots of stuff for the kids to do . The rooms were ok...small but functional. What bothered me was how they resort nickel and dimes you to death. It left a sour taste in my mouth. I wanted to leave a bag for 1 day in storage there was a charge for that. There were very few toiletries that they actually handed to you at check in! Then there was the time share calls...everyday. Left a bad taste and actually made me feel it was a lower class hotel

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rich2910 Quite simply.......AMAZING!
I have worked in the hotel, travel and leisure industry for over 20 years in countries such as Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, India, Dominican Republic and Portugal and this hotel stay rates amongst the top hotel stays I've ever had. I was traveling with 4 adults and 2 children aged 3 years and 14 years old and the facilities, location and standards are superb. The pools and areas were so clean, the activities kept us all entertained, the fun team had a fantastic variety of events each day, the villas are so well equipped that this stay was quite literally a stay home away from home. EVERYBODY went out of their way to make the stay 'hassle free' from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. My only complaint was that 2 nights was just not enough!.....I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diane18 Excellent service and facilities
This was the fourth time we had stayed at this resort and once again everything was perfect. All staff are very friendly and you can choose to do as much or as little as you want. The rooms are maintained to a very good standard and are spacious and clean. I sent an email prior to this visit requesting a villa in a certain area and we were pleased to find that our request had been granted when we checked in. The location is ideal for both wdw and universal and there are lots of great places to eat nearby. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back next year.

The resort was more than what I expected. Great location, comfortable rooms (although I found the bed uncomfortable and hate sheets that are not fitted). Overall, it was very clean, and up to date. Free wi-fi a plus and the price for the 1 bedroom was a great deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Crowded247 Overall Average
Check-in was quick despite large amounts of people. I was not a fan of choosing between breakfast for 2 OR housecleaning. Since when did having your room cleaned and made up BECOME OPTIONAL. Also, they tried to give me 6x towel cards that I was to use to exchange poolside for a towel. However, if for some reason I lost the card it was going to be a $20 charge (so, $20 for a pool towel), pretty ridiculous to me and I refused to accept them…just request additional towels from house keeping and take them. The housekeeping was great EXCEPT almost every day they did not leave wash clothes. Room was clean, comfortable, big and very nice overall. Kitchen area was large with good amount of cooking utensils and large fridge.
The worst part about the trip was the CONSTANT phone calls (TWO OR THREE a day). If you wanted to rest during the afternoon, NO CHANCE. Too many phone calls! Worse yet, was that 90% of the calls were in regards to begging my wife and I to attend their vacation resort pitch. I told them at check-in "No" and that we were here with family and didn’t want to be disturbed. They did not take into account my wishes and proceeded to "politely" pressure us everyday. Apparently, the potential financial outcome for them outweighed my desires for my family vacation. I will not recommend this resort while this is standard practice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Norm09 Excellent Accomodation
This hotel is excellent. It's location is perfect for Disney and International Drive. The apartments are very comfortable and have all necessary amenities. The housekeeping is very good, although sometimes come very late in the afternoon which is not very convenient. The swimming pools are wonderful and some stay open to 1am which is brilliant. The delivery service for the food is really useful. The only downside to the hotel is the wifi. Last year it was free and worked very well. This year they are charging for it, but it doesn't work. According to the IT team, this is very unusual, but talking to other team members, the wifi has been a problem since they started charging for it. Apart from the wifi I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mchughone Great ammenities and grouds, staff need some attention
The Vistana Resort in Orlando offers many ammenities with a great variety of activities and options for a great vacation.
The opportunity was with the overall interaction with staff. When walking the grounds, if you encountered a staff member there was rarely eye contact, a smile or a friendly "how are you". I always initiated a "good morning" or "hello" and rarely got a response.
There were however a few standouts. Katie at the Cascades pool grill/bar was awesome. All your staff should mirror her pleasant demeanor and overall customer service.
On the otherside of the resort, Susan who worked at the SuperPool/Zimmies outside bar/grill left much to be desired. She did not address patrons quickly. The only time that she cracked a smile was when she was handing you her bill, which tells me she just wanted me to go away.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lenny88 Check in -Check out
We did have a great view from our room and the room was neat and clean. We did have to call a few times to get extra pillows and wash cloths. The big thing that got us upset was on Sunday, check out day there was a knock on our door at 10:02am asking us to please check out. We do not like to be thrown out of our room 2 minutes after check out time. We were delayed in getting into our room. This was very disturbing since we are "Legend" owners of this property.

We own at this resort and love it. We stay at least once a year. We will be staying a week this time.
We love how close the resort is to all the Disney properties. Also very close to the Premium Outlets.
Zimmie's is great! The General Store is also a good place to shop. Love that there are restaurants on site. All the pools are huge with a variety of types to suit everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tess2014 Great hotel & close to Disneyworld!
Great hotel, only 2.9 miles from Disneyworld. Beautiful rooms, beautiful grounds & pools. We loved the relaxing balcony & the quiet peacefulness. The staff were friendly & helpful.
The only thing we would do different would be to bypass the $12 morning buffet because the wait time to be seated & get served coffee, tea, or water averaged an hour and a half, which took too much time out of our day. Also there was an extra charge for juices.

Rated 5 out of 5 First Class
Stayed here for 6 nights and everything about the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista was fantastic.
The only negative was having to pay extra for the car park and a mop that was being used by the restaurant staff that was so smelly it was unbelievable. They really should keep their mops clean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DanniK Nice property but not the best experience
I stayed for 4 days w/ my family (husband and 2 children) and we greatly enjoyed the cascades pool during our stay. Somewhat disappointed that during spring break with a packed resort & full pool they only had 1 cook scheduled to work at the bar & grill, so getting food was a very slow process. We had a 1 bedroom villa and the bedroom was rather small but fine. The room itself was clean, however, one of the days our bed was made w/ blood-stained white sheets that could not have possibly been missed by the housekeeping staff who made the bed. During our stay the housekeeper never came to clean our room while we were out all day, but showed up after 4pm when we were relaxing before going out to dinner, but the day we were checking out she came by several times starting before 9am until our 11am checkout, which was quite annoying. Overall, we liked the property and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I think a little training for the housekeeping staff is needed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SVOwner Paper Thin Walls / Not a Family Resort
If you prefer a 'Family Resort' that paper thin walls, loud Partying that keeps your family up until the wee hours of the morning, has no cell phone access in their rooms, staff cannot even provide room keys that work, and only caters their service level to prospects who may buy a timeshare, this is your place. If you are a Starwood Vacation Owner, every other property in the SVO network is better than this place. if you are not an owner, do not waste your time or money here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lisa1967 Beautiful property
Our family of 5 spent 1 night at the Spa's and a week at the Cascades. Both were equally beautiful. The suites, grounds, pools and staff are fantastic! Once you go for a short walk around the grounds you will realize how very convenient it is too get about. My brothers family also stayed in a unit for a week. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the Sheraton! (Too many theme parks to visit for the kids!)

We loved almost everything about staying at the Sharaton. 1) They push timeshare,so don't go down to pick up your "welcome package!!' its only a tube of toothpaste then they push for a meeting to sell timeshare. 2)I put down a $50 deposit and i'm still waiting for it back! Its been almost a month now:( I left our room emaculate! I even washed all towels ,vacumed ,dishes, and dusted. Where is my $50?? Other then that we loved it at the Sharaton Vistana Resort. Please stay at the Cascades building,it'd newly renovated.

We were very impressed with our recent stay. Our room was well-furnished, recently updated, clean, and comfortable. All additional things we needed were found at the on-property Marketplace. When we could not get the TV to work, staff tended to it promptly. It was very close to the city's attractions. There was also plenty to do at the resort during our 'down' days. We really enjoyed our stay and I'm sure that we will be back.
