Rated 5 out of 5 by Adults hotel I love the Swan and have stayed here a few times over the past couple years. This past stay I had the family with me and got a new perspective versus my business visits previously. The staff was excellent. Very friendly, professional, and their attention to detail is very good. This goes for the valet attendants to bellhops, to front desk and even pool attendants. The rooms are a bit small though if you have kids so keep this in mind and generally the guests here are either very well behaved older children or couples. The location is excellent and taking the Disney boats is a treat for all ages. Overall, one of the better properties on disney and a pretty good bargain considering what you get for the money. Five star service at three star prices. Also, the spa is very good and it's adjacent to the Boardwalk which makes taking a nightime walk great. November 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by If you're going to Disney World, dont go here Rooms were really outdated, facilities are old, buses were horrible and took forever, no body shower gel, and there was no reason why you needed to go on tower of terror because their elevators were scary enough.. Overal, not a hotel I would ever stay in again. November 18, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Hotel needs a complete remodel Stayed at the Disney Swan for 5 nights, as my husband was attending a conference at the hotel. First, let me say the staff is excellent & very attentive. Beyond that this resort is very disappointing. The outside of the building looks very interesting but once you pass through the revolving doors, it's feel like you have been transported back to the 80's & not in a good way! The entire interior looks worn, dated & is screaming to be remodeled. Once, we arrived in our room, I couldn't believe my eyes & kept asking myself "Is this really a Westin hotel?". The only thing in the room that looked new was the beds (and they were the comfortable Westin beds), everything else was worn & tired looking. We had a balcony on our room, which the paint was peeling & appeared to have green mold growing on it, along with balconies on the rooms next to ours. As for plugs, forget trying to charge your electronics. The lamp had a plug that was occupied by the alarm clock. There where 2 other plugs (one on the floor by the balcony door (didn't work) bathroom next to sink (who wants their iPad & laptop next to the sink?)). Housekeeping did a good job but the fact that the room looked so old & worn, made it feel not clean. We tried calling guest services, but every time they answered, the phone disconnect. Stopped at desk to tell them & was informed that has been an issue for a few weeks. The friendly desk clerk did assist us. The phone never did work to call guest services during our stay. You are charged a daily resort fee which covers Internet & the workout center. Why? I'm a high level SPG preferred member & get free internet at any other property. Why do I have to pay for the work out center, when I didn't have time to use it. If you rent a car that's another charge to park (should be included in the resort fee). As for the restaurants they are enjoyable & the food tasty, except the Garden Grove, very sad food. Our waitress Shirley was great! During the day forget getting a drink at the bar, as none of them open until late afternoon, even the coffee shop closed after breakfast. :-( The only thing this resort has going for it, is it's staff! Rated 4 out of 5 by Disney Westin close to Epcot & Hollywood This hotel is close enough to walk to the Epcot and Hollywood Disney parks. Clean, current and friendly hotel with typical Disney standard amenities - focused on family fun and safe but not overly luxurious. I do recommend the Swan for family vacations! November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendly and helpful staff wonderful experience staff took care of us and met our needs efficiently and was friendly convenient location November 16, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by total disaster very bad atention room dirty and smelly very bad staff ,the worst i see in my life. one bellboy named justin didnt pick my lugagge, and say waaitttttt!!!!! the room was dirty and smells humed . the phone works wrong the staff for the frontdesk the are unprofetional, rude, they dont hace comunication between each other.i never stay again and i will tell that is the worst nightmare stay in my life. Rated 4 out of 5 by hidden costs If they are going to charge everyone $17 as a resort fee, why not just add it to the cost of the room? Also, all other Disney properties have a free shuttle. This hotel should disclose that they are the only ones where you must pay. Only resort that charges for parking. In price list all hidden costs November 14, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointing I was disappointed with my stay - the room smelled moldy and the bedding was not fresh smelling. I expected much more in room quality at the Swan so I would not recommend this property. November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff is wonderful at this hotel! I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years. It is so refreshing to see some of the same people at the front desk, the bell stand, even the valet parking attendants during my stays. They all provide great service and go out of their way to see that we have a great time during our stay. The rooms are quite large, comfortable and clean. I enjoy staying here and how close it is to all of the parks. The character breakfast on the weekends is fun for my grandsons, too. We just stayed there to celebrate my grandson's big 2nd birthday and we were upgraded to a very nice suite. Many thanks for this wonderful surprise! We can't wait to come back! November 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Presidential Suite We stayed in the presidential suite on the 12th floor and it was amazing! The layout of the room is perfect and very well decorated. We loved everything about this place and are scheduled to go back to Disney in February and are now looking into staying at the Swan again! November 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Our new Disney home! We decided on the Swan because the price was lower than our normal hotel choice for our trip to Orlando this year. We were pleasantly suprised by the newness of the room and friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere at the Swan is quiet even though there is a lot going on there! Our stay was relaxing, pool area is large so even when it's crowded you can still easily find your own space and relax. We had a few minor issues with our TV and in room safe which were quickly resolved and the staff followed up to be sure the problem was taken care of. Overall the proximity to Disney parks is great, the staff was great, amenities were great, we'll be making this our new Disney hotel of choice! November 12, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Swan Has Gone Way Down Stayed overnight, 11/9/2013. Room had a stale, basement smell. Carpet was old and soiled. Rooms feel like they are 15 years old in decor. During check-in , we had trouble with front desk personnel who were unable to fix a booking problem caused by consolidator. November 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Everything was perfect, room , staff ,location November 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Training Stay I stayed at the Swan for 3 days of training. It is a nice facfility. The hallways and room doors were dated and bland. The king room was sufficient, but not fancy. There are several restaurants and the Boardwalk is near by. November 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by After many spg changes.... I originally booked the Swan Hotel but when I called about being near to my friend's room I was told I booked the Dolphin and it was across the street. I get to the Dolphin (after asking my friend to move to Dolphine) and they tell me that they moved me to the Dolphin (not me) and asked if I wanted to go back tot eh Swan. The hotel staff was great but I am disappointed that that spg didn't acknowledge that on teh phone. November 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Extremely disappointed in the room/cleanliness Recently had a 1 week stay at the Swan with my family. We arrived several hours earlier than check in however the front desk made an effort to provide a room to us. That was the good. The bad was the room was not cleaned from prior guests although we were told it was ready. The room was adjacent to the floor ice machine which loudly cycled every hour of our stay (would have requested a change but hotel was sold out). The carpeting was buckled in many places and stained. The second day of our stay the room was not cleaned at all, only new towels were dropped off, old ones remained. The third day housekeeping arrived at 8:15 AM. We told them it would be available in 15 minutes. Upon returning at 8:30 PM housekeeping was just arriving. The bathroom tile floor was not cleaned upon arrival or during our stay and was obviously dirty. These issues were all mentioned to the Front Desk. Neither I nor my family will not return to this hotel for future Disney visits. November 10, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Revamp needed Housekeeping did fine but room needs updates big time! Bathroom is so small that door barely clears toilet when opens. They put towels storage in the shower so half the time the towels got sprayed by the shower before they were even unfolded. Strange place for towels! The only sink was in this mini bathroom so only one person could get ready in the mornings until the other had completed anything they needed to do...shower,brush teeth, use toilet, and bath fan didn't work... Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, but dirty balconies and outdated Close to Epcot, but the hotel it self is severly out dated. The property is not worth what they charge per night. It is just way too high for how it looks. The balcony was disgusting and so was the furniture on it. You couldn't use it if you wanted to. It is covered in mold. Just very unhappy with this resort. Rated 4 out of 5 by Food & Wine Fest Visit The hotel is clean and nice and in an excellent location. You can walk to Disney's Boardwalk and Epcot. November 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Disney Swan Great family vacation. Great location. Great value. Great facilities November 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Staff Needs Training/Rooms need to be Cleaner How disappointing. I booked a King room and arrived on property at 10:00 pm. I was not greeted by name nor was I recognized as a SPG Platinum by the front desk person whom seemed very young and inexperienced. When I told him I was Platinum he replied okay. I said this would be my 69th night this year. He said you travel a lot. I asked if there was an upgrade and he said no but your on a high floor. It was dark out. Okay no problem, I did not say anything else and he didn't either including wishing me a nice evening. When I got to my room it was dingy old and dirty. Above that it had two double beds. It was late and I didn't have the energy to change the room so I just kept the room and was very unhappy. As a woman business owner who travels a lot and provides loyalty to a brand I do expect that the loyalty will be returned. On another note I did enjoy VERY much the Kimonos restaurant. Rated 3 out of 5 by good location the hotel is close to epcot, boardwalk and hollywood studios.pool was unavailable for some of our stay and the coffee is the worst i have ever had on vacation. November 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Moldy Room My room smelled of mildew and was humid but cool. Clearly there was a problem with the AC. They did send up a dehumidifier which helped a little, but did not help the pervasive odor of mold. We declined maid service the first morning, but then did not get any the second day either. The concierge very kindly did get us toilet paper and towels when we retuned to the room in the evening to find the room not serviced. The front desk people were very pleasant and helpful, and the common areas are very nice, but the room was poor. We also were awakened at 8:00 am to the sound of drills either above or next to us, which continued all of one day and part of the next We assumed they were working on the AC in another room. This hotel is on Disney property and charges $15 DAILY to self park, while self parking is free at the other hotels on property. This will be my last stay at the Swan/Dolphin, despite being a Starwood Preferred Guest. November 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Location! Just spent three nights at this hotel. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The location is great. You can walk to other Disney properties and Epcot. There is also boat service to these locations. Hotel itself is nice but needs a bit of updating i.e. bathtubs need to be reglazed. However, location makes up for what the hotel lacks. Would stay again, November 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Swan Excellent location. Great service. Outstanding value.. November 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by wonderful stay! We just got back from a fabulous stay at the Swan! It was a great value, was convenient to so many of the Disney sites (e.g., the Boardwalk, Hollywood Studios, Epcot), had many dining options between it and the Dolphin, had comfortable rooms...so much to like about it! Helpful and friendly front desk staff, especially Amanda, and also Debbie, and a young man who worked with Amanda mist days of our stay. Also, Vanessa the the Concierge desk did a great job helping us with a laundry issue, saying she would work at it til it was resolved. Friendly folks in the Cabana store, too. Wish I could go back today!!! October 30, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel needs improvement; beds uncomfortable, bad smell in room Stayed there recently; common areas need improvement. Bed is very uncomfortable and definitely does not provide for a magical sleep. The room smells damp and moldy. Very unpleasant room experience overall! October 29, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel needs major improvement Staff was pleasant but not enough of them. Room smelled moldy, the AC was frigid only, no way to control. Room did not get made up once until we called. The food was mediocre. the decoration is tacky. Overall way overpriced. October 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not as expected This hotel needs remodeling, the rooms were old and didn't feel clean. October 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location Holel has a great location in the Epcot Resort area. It is very easy to get around Disney. I was there for a conference however and certain things need improvement,. First the room spelled musty and could use some updating. Plus, the maid service could definitely use a lot of improvement. Had to call on several occasions just to get the room serviced. One day was not serviced until 5 even though I had called around 230 to ask for it to be made up.l Very limited choices for lunch especially when on a tight schedule, October 27, 2013
