We really enjoyed our visit. We will recommend it to friends. We had three negative comments for your consideration. The shower mixing valve would not adjust, turn it to cold and hot it was always hot, the diverted part worked fine. We were in room 211.
We felt the tub was too small and the doors to the bathroom doors did not allow privacy.
Last -the day concierge answered the questions asked, but while not rude, we felt she acted as if we were a bother without offering more information or if her answer helped us.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. staff was friendly. food was amazing. clean hotel. amazing location. my daughters loved the beach, the pool and the water activities. The only thing that sucked was the wi-fi. Too slow, didn't reach some spots on the hotel, and kicked you out sometimes. Maybe the best starwood resort i have ever been too. My family fell in love with this place. close to the airport. Kind of expensive, but worth every penny. The restaurants (Tortuga grill and Ferninand's served good food) The cafe was nice with its little muffins and pastries. complimentary starbucks coffee and water in the rooms were nice. clean robes and towels were nice. Will visit this place again.

The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa is a top-notch resort hotel -- spectacular beach setting, wonderful friendly staff, terrific guest rooms and great food.

I stayed at the hotel in November 2013 with my wife and toddler son. The positives: The beach and pool are beautifully maintained, service at the pool and beach is good, as is the food. The negatives: Our hotel rooms (we had two connecting rooms), were awful. The carpeting was damp in some places, the room smelled musty, the wi-fi signal was available in our rooms about 1/3 of the time, the phone kept breaking, and there is virtually no in-room enterainment, such as movies on demand (a feature that would have been nice for us because our son goes to sleep at 8pm, which tethered us to our room from that time on). We had "Island view" rooms, which truly have no view at all, except of the parking lot and busy road. Despite having two rooms, neither had a balcony. We would not stay at this hotel again, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who expects to spend any time at all in their hotel room.

Great hotel and great island. Hotel beach is awesome. Hotel needs to upgrade their wireless internet, pretty slow and kicks you off all the time.

This was our 4th stay at this property and our best yet. The recent renovations have elevated this hotel to where it should be. The hotel rooms, hallways and shops are so much more bright and cheerful. The lobby has always been lovely and the staff even seemed more cheerful. Definitely, one of my favourite hotels and we will be back again.

Fantastic staff, especially Hadi and Penny. Always willing to help. As was the rest of the staff in the hotel - very accommodating. Room had amazing view, beach was right there and food in all places were good. Wish cafe was open later - through the eve - to accommodate snacks and drinks, especially for the kids. Would recommend to all.

If a hotel is going to advertise WiFi, it should provide it or not say it has it. It was annoying for me but not necessary. However, for business travel, it would definitely be a problem. Everyone was complaining about it. However, everything else about the hotel was wonderful - the people, the food, the beach and the room.

The hotel staff was great. Food at the hotel was reasonably priced, less than what we expected. The pool and beach were superb. In fact the hotel is located on one of the best parts of 7 mile beach, just our opinion. Warning do not get a room that connects to another room via a shared door. We could hear Everything from the other room, no privacy. I even tried to place a towel under the door, but that did not help. The hotel staffed offered to move us, but the location of the room was too good to switch rooms.

Well, we literally just got back, overall the hotel was nice. Pool was smaller in person then pictures represented it to be. Rooms were Ok, however we had issues with a broken bed and a funky sewer smell and had to request supplies not left after room cleaning. Both we brought to the attention of the staff. We did love the snorkel/swim area in front. The cocktail waitresses were great. Thank you Rena and Crystal. Overall Family friendly, we did enjoy our stay. Red Sail did a great job providing the activities. Visit the Turtle Farm and Stingray ally!

We just got back from the Westin Grand Cayman and the hotel was a great place to stay. The staff were all real friendly and helpful.
Our room was clean and the food at the beach bar was good. The only suggestion I would make is to have more umbrellas available for guests, and to have the staff remove beach towels if no one is sitting at an umbrella. Many times I saw towels under umbrellas and didn't move to them because I assumed someone was sitting there, but no one ever came back. The beach was beautiful though and there was plenty of room on the beach.

To follow the last review....September IS the time to go! Great rates and the whole place to yourself but what makes it special is the staff. Everyone goes out of their way to get to know you and make you feel like you are the only one there! My wife and I were here celebrating out 50th birthdays this year and we could have not asked for a better vacation. The first time we ever left a property feeling like we really are going to miss the staff! Kudos and we will be back soon!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on May 22-30, 2012. The housekeeping staff was very helpful and attentive, Our room was an ocean front- an upgrade at no cost to us. Maybe because we were SPG members... The bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean but some areas of the room itself could be updated. The hotel is going to be renevated this August (the end of their off season).
The buffet was great and towards the end of our stay the hosts knew us by name. Bar tenders were great, except for 1. At 10 till 7pm Happy Hour outside by the pool- the bar tender was "out of mixers" and only offered us beer. Free Wifi in the lobby was great, as was the pianist and female musician that played nightly. Room Service was great too. Plenty of space out on the beach and pool. We skipped the Sunday Brunch because the free buffet was all that we needed. We did dine at Ferdinand's(sp) for their Friday night Pirates Buffet- that was great. The gym was good. 2/6 of their treadmills were not functioning. We had couples massages in their couples room- ah-mazing!!! Great ambiance too.
We only incurred 1 real problem: 1 night at about midnight we were rudely awakened by noisy guests staying across the hall. We called the front desk to handle the situation and no one answered. This went on for 20 minutes. My husband had to tell them to quite down and that they had woken us up. We tried to talk to management about the problem and left several messages for him/her to no avail. When we finally spoke to a manager they comped our bill by $100CI.
The silver lining- my husband left his iPhone in the room, and housekeeping located it and had it sent back to us via UPS. Thanks so much for being honest:)
This hotel was not bad but not a 4/5 star quality that you would expect from WESTIN. I would wait until renovations are done if you are extremely picky otherwise we had a great time!

Check in not available until 4:30 pm on day of arrival with no apology. Just "we will get to it." Rooms not cleaned daily until after 4:30 pm after returning from day of activities and trying to get ready for evening. Charged daily for "Resort Charge" and received No Internet for several days running. Even overheard staff talking about new management just cares about cutting corners to save $ and it shows! Stayed here several times since 2003 (10 years) and this time was a shock to us. By far below Westin standards.

We have stayed at a lot of very good hotels and without exception found the entire staff at Grand Cayman to be very special. The resort was very busy but the staff always helpful and smiling makes a big difference - there's usually somebody that seems to be having a bad day, but not here!!!

I can't say enough about our great 5 night stay. As a Platinum member, despite the normal resort exceptions, we received multiple benefits (buffet breakfast free, room upgrade, late check out). I could tell that they have done many upgrades to the hotel and it was in excellent shape. Beach and pool area were superb with great service. Music each eventing outside was so relaxing. Only negative was the internet outages which ocurred often. I guess that is why they don't charge for it.

If it we not for the staff outside of the checkin counter I would tell people not to stay, we own Westin properties, and were told when I booked that upgrades were pretty usual. It was my birthday, we had payed extra for a view of the ocean and got a view of the pool. If I had not mentioned that we were gold members they would not have offered us the points or drink that you usually get upon check in or the late check out.
Had to get house keeping in to make the tub drain.

The Westin - is Heavenly! It truly provides the most beautiful beachfront property along Seven Mile Beach. Enjoy their outstanding pool, Jacuzzi s, cabana bar ... then meander along the beach into aqua blue sea! Whether it's a jet ski rental or simply an umbrella covered chaise lounge .... they have it all! Don't miss their poolside lunch grille- delish! I recommend the amazing mahi-mahi fish tacos. After a relaxing & fun "day at da beach" you'll sleep well in their heavenly bed!!

I spent 3 nights at the Westin and was very pleased with my stay. My room was clean, bright and nicely decorated. It was situated right across from the swim up bar and while there was music, it wasn't too loud and was off by a decent hour. I tried three restaurants and they were all great! My favorite was Casa Havana. The restaurant staff was great, but the desk, towel and cleaning crew left a bit to be desired. The woman at the desk seemed to think the guests were annoying her and the towel guy had the same attitude. The cleaning people never got to my room the last morning of my stay despite being on the floor all day. Perhaps less chit chatting to each other and on their cells would cause them to be more productive. I think they need a bit more supervision. Otherwise, I would stay again and I would suggest it to others.

This was our 1st time in 16 years as Platinum members that we were not given a suite with our awards points. They said they don't do that. Disappointing. However the staff was fantastic and we did have a nice beachfront room. Aside from battling red ants everyday we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for the second time at Westin and were not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the waiters, concierge was A+.....Even on a day that rained all day, and we were looking for things to do, the set us up. Awesome! every restaurant they recommended was wonderful.

Our experience was incredible staying that close to the beach made for a great vacation. The benefits of the location with the great adventures with Red Sail made my Grade A an easy scoring. The hotel staff was very pleasant and every recommendation was on point for what we wanted. William(the bellman) is the Ambassador of the Caymans. The rooms are clean, well maintained and the service was very good.

our trip was a very pleasant experience. the hotel has just been remodeled and in great shape. the size of the hotel was a key feature, smaller, casual and very easy to use features.
the staff was always kind and smiling. as we talked to several of them, they had been working at the hotel for years. this speaks to management and committment.
all of the meals and sevice was very good and attentive.. beach was fantastic.
we would recommend to everyone.

We love the Westin let me first say. Stayed at others while traveling in the States. Ocean front room was blocked by a huge bush. We did get moved but room had no ammenities. No towels, no refill of coffee...etc. Had to ask for wash cloths for two hours. The staff was friendly I will admit. Also we were charged for drinks to our room that we did not order. Anyone can use your room # to order. Had a hard time getting money refunded. Sad time.

Our experience was wonderful. There were about 35 of us who were staying at the hotel attending a family wedding on the island. Not one person in the party had a complaint, and with our family that is AMAZING! The renovations made over the last 12-18 months were outstanding. The property was beautiful. The hotel lobby was a place we all enjoyed gathering at night; the rooms were very "fresh" and very comfortable; the pool and beach is fantastic and the service was very special responding quickly to our food and drink needs. A special shout out to the catering staff, who took extra special care of us for our rehearsal dinner. Rain got in the way .. they set up and broke down the food and tables twice as the rain before the event complicated things. In the end, our dinner on the beach was a real highlight of the trip. Thanks Andres and your team for doing an outstanding job.

This was my third time staying at the Westin. Happy in the past. When I made the reservation I asked for 2 double beds as there was 3 to the room. At check in I was told the hotel was full so we got a king bed and roll away bed at no extra charge.When the bed was brought to the room the maid said we would have to set it up ourself. No apology. The toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the handle to the hot water fell off. The toilet paper holder was finally fixed but the hot water handle was not. At check out bill had a daily accomodation charge of $258 and I had already paid the bill. Other family members was staying in another room and their bill had the extra charge as well. The bill was corrected but would it have been if we had not questioned it. I am a Starwood member. Will go back to the Cayman Islands but will never stay at the Westin again.

We love returning to the Westin on Grand Cayman. Its a wonderful place for families to enjoy themselves. This was our third stay with them. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are generous in size, beautifully appointed and have large marble bathrooms. The food is excellent, with both traditional and creative offerings, and beautifully served. We love the atmosphere. It's both festive and relaxing.
