When we arrived we did not have breakfast included and we asked for a coffee as a courtesy. Front desk people told us that either we had to pay the breakfast or a reduced version of a breakfast (coffee wirth bread and butter). After that, when we entered into our room, we foud a ticket for a free coffee or tea at the lobby bar.
Besides, we asked for information about SPG members benefits and we were told that there were no benefits for us because we are not gold members. Not even free wifi in the room.

Location, location, location. We stayed at this hotel for its proximity to Iguazu Falls and were not disappointed, as we could not only see the falls from our balcony but were able to get into the park the next morning without the hordes. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, if lacking personality.The water pressure in the shower was strong and the towels plentiful and fluffy. The breakfast was very good. The staff were helpful and allowed us to check into our room an hour early and leave our bags there after we checked out. There was a large pool as well as tennis courts. This was definitely a splurge for us.

I booked a room that was described on Sheraton website as "newly refurbished" - this must be a new concept for the word "newly" as I would guess in this instance it's like 15 years ago. Parts of the room are even older - living in the 1960's perhaps.
The outside of the hotel looks horrible - it BADLY needs a paint job.
The prices charged here are SUPER EXPENSIVE - the only thing it has going for it is the view of the falls and proximity to the park. In almost every other way, it fails.

All the cooked food was of a mediocre to poor standard, my wife returned a shrimp rissotto because the shrimps were not veined and the rice was tasteless. Scrambled egg at breakfast was lumpy and lukewarm and other food was unappetising. Room service food was average at best. Organisation in the bar area is poor with one member of staff Yesica trying to hold it together but not supported by others as we waited an inordinate amount of time for a drink. Wi-fi in lobby easily became overloaded making access most difficult. You have a captive audience at this site and it shows, the falls are breathtaking the service at the hotel is breathtakingly bad!

1) Our room to the jungle was ok, but we had to keep the windows totally closed, because we got that constant and stale smell from the kitchen exhaust straight into our room (room 115), starting 06:00 in the morning and ending around 12-isch at night. Not really pleasant to use the nice balkony within this time frame.
2) Food and beverage is less then standard quality of what I'm used in a good Sheraton. Aside of that, pricing is quite "steep" (and not related to the quality of food) compared to pricing used in these areas.
3) aside of 1) and 2) the hotel can be recommended, because of its unique location and the very friendly and accomodating staff

This hotel is bang in the middle of the forest, 2mins walk to the waterfalls, 5mins to the station that takes you to Devil's throat. The 170 pesos (for foreigners) I paid as the entrance fee was the only thing I had to pay to access all falls/trains. If you're staying here, the hotel room (expensive but so worth it) and the 170 are the main costs. The hotel is everything you can ask for, luxury, quiet time, service with a smile. AND they spoke english!!! That alone made my stay wonderful, along with their ever helpful nature.
If you're asking for a cab pickup & don't know spanish, ask for an english speaking driver. Also, the airport has a counter that offers hotel drops, sheraton being one of them for 110 pesos. The hotel didn't tell me this, I paid 150 for the cab the sent (they have a tie up with a cab company).

The hotel meet my expectation and more.
The location inside the iguazu park is incredible ,it gave us the oportunity to visit the falls very early in the morning ,go back to the hotel for lunch and visit them again in the afternoon .
For my daughter it was one of the best vacations ever (in her words)
