I found some of the staff members to be incompetence. Not fulfilling their responsibility. Waiting for hours for bathroom amenities. Front desk manager wanted to force me to check out early because hotel reservation dept booked 1 night less than what I had confirmed from my travel agent. Staff members don't have to be friendly but at least must always remain professional.

location of the property is very good. the beach and the food at the restaurants are very good as well. front desk/reception service is poor and needs to be improved since this is the first stop for all the guests staying at the hotel. staff is not friendly and don't even bother to pretend they care. we did go towards the end of summer so perhaps they've just had a long season and are ready to leave for the winter months.
we rented tennis rackets and the court for 30 Euros. one tennis racket is a junior racket. two have handles worn to the wood frame. one has a broken frame - yes broken all the way through. would you pay 30 Euros?
there was also a wedding party there for the weekend - dominated the beach. they were loud and obnoxious. when booking, ask about events going on at the hotel first.
be aware that many rooms require a lot of stair climbing. rooms in the 125-128 range are above or near the delivery area so be prepared for a lot of hotel operational activities.

We had two huge issues and I wouldn't stay here again unless these were resolved. We were in villa #240 on the edge of the property and there was no internet in the room. The only available internet was on the corner of the patio closest to the lobby. We complained about it but it was not addressed. Second, there was a private home next to our villa (not part of the property) and they had loud music blaring until 2-3AM 4 of our 5 nights. We again complained and requested a reduction in the room price, but to no avail.

This is a beautiful hotel with the most incompetent staff. The waiters consistently brought us the wrong dishes, the beach staff were too busy flirting and disappearing off to answer questions, my buggy driver crashed in to a wall, the maids didn't show up one day, etc etc.
In spite of the lovely beach and good beach dj his was my sixth trip to Mykonos and probably the worst hotel experience I've had so far.

The Santa Marina was recommended to us by American Express Platinum Travel Services. At their request, I went on line to look at the property, which definitely looked absolutely lovely. We decided to book and are thrilled and delighted that we did. The hotel has just undergone a renovation and it is gleaming from head to toe. The naturally understated fabrics, furniture, even table settings, are the perfect backdrop for stunning views and, oh, so blue water. Our memories of vacationing at The Santa Marina Resort are memories we will call upon in our difficult New York City winters. Memories do last a lifetime.

The hotel is no doubt the most beautiful and probably the most exclusive property in Mykonos. Our room, I think it was a Superior room, was very small. Starwood Membership recognition only came after we checked if our number was in the system. Out of the three nights we were there, we received turndown service only one night.
The hotel beach is very nice, as is the breakfast, which was very good. The bathroom was very small, for such a nice resort. Pool is salt water, and was very cold.
Everything else was very good.

The Santa Marina is definitely the best hotel in Mykonos. We have been coming back to this hotel every year for over 10 years. The breathtaking view of the sea, the hotel's facilities and the exclusive location with private beach will immediately make you love the hotel. But it is the incredible personalized service of the excellent staff at the hotel that will make you want to come back again. From the front desk, to guest services, to the food and beverage team - everyone makes you feel special.
