This was my 3rd or 4th stay at these villas. i had alot if troubel this trip.
1. no hot water in my shower. i called and they said someone fixed it. i checked it later and it still did not work. i should have reported it again but i did not.
2. i was sleeping at the villa pool and the waitstaff kicked by chair to wake me up so he could ask me to pay the bill. i was not happy.
3. when checking out i called the front desk and asked for a person to help me carry the bags to car. i was assured they have this service. i called twice and they promised me someone was coming, no one came. i waited 30 minutes
4. i hat that you chareg $15 for parking and i can never get a spot near my room. this combined with the lack of bell service makes it hard to come and go. either dont charge for parking or have assigned spots near each villa.
i had a nice vacation despite the villas and the westin service.

This is our 4th time staying at this property and it was such a nice surprise to receive a welcome gift from the Manager. It just set the right tone from the start and we also enjoyed the Tuesday reception as a chance to meet other guests.
We find the staff here so friendly and helpful, especially the golf cart drivers who would often just stop and ask if we needed a ride. In fact, it is just such a wonderful place to walk that we only once took up their offer.
The concierge staff are always the best and thanks to Donna for recommending several new venues and travel experiences to discover.
We look forward to returning soon.

Was greeted at the front desk by Jacob who was very friendly, attentive and used my name. He noted that I was an SPG member and gave me an upgrade which was much appreciated. The following morning upon check out, I was again greeted by name by Jacob! I was impressed that he remembered my name. Great customer service! The property itself is beautifully landscaped and well kept. Great walking path alongside the golf course and the surrounding scenery was breathtaking.

this has to be one of the best places i've stayed in, in a LONG time! When we checked in our room it wasn't ready but the front desk clerk, was very polite and told us we had full access to the pool and surrounding. Our kids had a blast on the water slide.
** one thing that caught my attention was the housekeeping crew was SOOOOO NICE!!!! i give them props!!! every single housekeeping we ran into acknowledged us with good morning etc. SOOO NICE!!

I chose to stay at the Westin Mission Hills when welcoming my son home from Afghanistan. We spent a few days reconnecting in Rancho Mirage. I didn't expect the place we stayed to have such an impact on our time. The grounds and amenities are truly first class and offered plenty options without leaving the grounds. Yet it was the staff who made the difference, they are the best I have experienced. From the front desk staff who handled special requests, to the kind and attentive waitress at the breakfast cafe, to the accommodating housekeeping staff we encountered, we were pampered. I will definitely return to the Westin Mission Hills Resort.

On check in room not available
Waited to be called for check in but no phone call
Checked in at front desk 4 hours later and one room was ready. Adjoining room told not ready.
Sat in the room until 4pm and no phone call.
Called the front desk and we were told the adjoining room was now ready. No one had entered the room. It was ready the entire time. Then told someone would bring the room key. 30 minutes later still no key. Went back to the front desk to get the key! Terrible check in.

After my second stay at the Villas the foremost impression is of a dated and shabby property staffed with employees who try too hard to impress you with the false notion that somehow this is a luxury property - it is not.
The villas themselves are dark - the decor is utterly drab and non-descript - the food is average at the most generous - and the pool is overly charged with loud music and an obnoxious DJ.
Really, outside of the Pete Dye course which is a fine and fun resort course - there is little to recommend or reason for the staff to act as if they are doing you a favor.
In my 7 years as a platinum traveler with SPG - this last stay at the Westin Misson Hills Villas was one of the most disappointing.
I'm always willing and often give a business the benefit of the doubt - but in this case not - and I won't be back.

Ive stayed here a few times. I'm local to LA so we come out here to get away. The hotel is a little more dated in terms of the rooms and the overall property. The few times we've stayed here we don't have much to complain about. The pools are great, staff is great and food is decent. The villas are larger and if you are a gold/plat and get upgraded to their "suites" it's an oversized room with a dining room which is really spacious and nice. It's, overall, a great value and decent place to stay in Palm Springs. I would recommend it if you want to be at more of a full service hotel vs. a condo/time share.
