Everything about the Diplomat was awesome. From the moment we walked thru the front doors to the moment we left, was like being in paradise. The beautiful flowers and lush greeneries, the great pools and beach, and the wonderful employees made for a wonderful time. The spa is first class.

Such a beautiful hotel and yet the little details make all the difference. We arrived at 4:00 pm to find our room was not ready. We kept being told the room was being cleaned but it took over 2 hours for the room to be cleaned. So many things in the room didn't work or work broken. The air conditioning barely worked and I never had a good night sleep because the room was so warm. The food was decent but horribly over priced. Then on our last morning 2 security guards showed up at my room demanding that I come and settle my bill. The beach was very nice and the staff there were great. Even the golf course was dissapointing.

I attended a seminar here but was pleasantly surprised by the amenities - spa, pool, on the beach, several quality restaurants, great staff! When I checked in, the line was out the front door and I thought I'd be in line forever, but they quickly brought out additional staff to deal with the lines and I was quickly checked in and on the way to my room! Lovely!

Amazing stay and excellent staff. Kudos for Karianne and her quick response. Platinum recognition on this hotel that was very busy during this month.

Checking my bags at the airline ticket counter and realized that I had left my iPhone in the taxi. What a helpless feeling, disconnected from world I started to reach out to the taxi company...ask the airport taxi stand for help...Ask the airline police for help to no success! I thought for sure it was gone! Called the Westin and BAM! They got the taxi driver to return my phone to them ASAP! Then, if that wasn't enough, they shipped it out FedEx P1 so I would have it by the next business day!!! You guys are AWESOME!

The facility/grounds were excellent. However, the service was subpar. The staff was very good at saying Yes to everything, but doing nothing. I was staying there for 5 days, but got an extra night (on New Years) for my brother/sister in laws. Due to various problems, they couldn't check in until 7:30. My sister in law (who is pregnant BTW) wasn't feeling very well. So, certainly a problem. They wouldn't even allow them out to the pool area (as you needed a key). Kept waiting for a manager to call me (James, then someone else). I'm still waiting for that call. As stated, property is really nice. But, they could care less about the guest. I will not be staying here again.
