Rated 4 out of 5 by best located internationak class holel near the park entrance Hotel isn't lavish by international 5 star standards. It would be more four star but then again, its not in some major city and it is more then adequate. But what is great is that it can't be beat on location. Walking distance to the tourist night market and the park entrance. Lots of little eateries within walking distance with ethnic food as well. The is no lounge but there is a happy hour in the main lobby lounge from 5pm to 7pm. Good choice of drinks and snacks. Some freshly made to order. The suite is a little dated but large and clean with plenty of toiletries and a good turn down service. Breakfast was merely adequate. Gets the job done. Not complaining since I booked a non-breakfast included rate and breakfast was given complimentary as a platinum benefit. On balance, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel very highly. Have been to Jiuzhaigou numerous times and this hotel is the best in terms of location, accessibility and comfort level. October 22, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheraton Jiuzhaigou Resort comments the hotel location is perfect as its about 15 mins walk to the national park entrance, 10 mins walk to coach station where some will prefer a cheaper way to travel here and forth. front dest has a spg purple carpet which i believe the statt will deal with spg members with priority. rooms are great ,neatly furnished and sound proof . hotel staffs are helpful and always greetings when come across. the only catch i was dissatisfied was that there wasnt any wifi in any of the rooms. anyhow i still recommend for friends to stay here when coming to Jiuzhaigou. afterall the roomprice is reasonable at around 600 RMB. i will definitely come back. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great loction to Jiuzhaigou National Park We stayed @ this hotel in Oc. 2011 (during the peak season). The hotel staffs were very nice and room that we exchanged with our SPG points was very spacious and clean. Daily fresh fruits (we know that it's very hard for them to get the stuffs in because everything has to be "imported"), fresh chocolate/cookies. We had nice stay and enjoyed this beautiful Natioal park next to it. Lotion of this hotel is very convenient. January 11, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good location, yet hardly a Sheraton Hotel The hotel was within walking distance to the entrance of the park, but very far from the airport. There were simply no other hotel options in the same tier. Definitely the worst Sheraton hotel I had ever stayed in. Over crowded, buffet was like in a busy local restaurant. Rooms were not bad but NOT 5-star standard. Not recommended, yet again, there was no other choices. Sigh. October 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Aging hotel, but convenient and clean So when it comes to international five star hotels at Jiuzhaigou, the Sheraton is one of only 3 choices, and of the three, it is by far the closest and most convenient to Jiuzhaigou Park itself. The hotel and room itself were fine, if a little worn, however, I want to make special mention of the poor state of some of the facilities. As someone who often stays in SPG properties, Sheraton has established a high benchmark for quality. The pitiful state of the gym and sauna, sadly, did not live up the standards of the brand. With only one poor excuse for a treadmill, and an 80 RMB charge for using the sad, lukewarm, sauna, the workout and relaxation facilities at Sheraton JZG were well below expectations. Additionally the staff was unable or unwilling to answer basic questions regarding "typical" prices for services outside the hotel. Realizing that they could be wrong, they still were unwilling to give me a range of expected prices. Additionally on the morning of my departure the staff lagged on calling me a cab, giving up after two unsuccessful tries, without a suggestion. October 8, 2013
