One of the most beautiful setting and most beautiful small hotels in the world. Beautiful views from everywhere of the mountains and the mid-eaval town and the Frank Gehry building is stunning. Staff is eceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cab1977 Impressive place - impressive views
I wish I could have stayed more - just the hotel has enough to do for 2/3 days (biking, spa, lounge + views, wine visits...).
So pleased with hotel staff as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GRMO You really must stay there at least for one night of your life (more if you can!)
Driving up for the first time you anticipate what it will look like but when you finally see it in the flesh for the first time its really amazing.
The security is a little officious when you drive in but I expect they have a lot of people wanting free look around.
From the minute we checked in the staff were great and were able to exceed my expectations throughout our stay.
The views are really nice and I hope your room faces the local church as ours did.
The food in the bistro was good but not exceptional and the breakfast was a bit disappointing.
It’s a pity the pool is indoors, its still nice but could be spectacular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NickTick Excellent staff and wonderful location
The Hotel and the staff are excellent and real luxury. Service is great and well thought out, like the possibility to borrow a bike with helmet for a ride through the vineyards. A very relaxing and entertaining experience. The gym is a smaller version but with the possibility to go on bike rides it was not such a put down. Also the pool was more geared towards a Beautiful spa experience than any real swimming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Socrates A little fairytale...
We arrived late at night to what appeared to be a discretely lit, anachronistic castle with, in lieu of stone walls and towers, a fantastic architecture coloured with bold, winery-inspired palette. This luxury collection hotel is unique and unforgettable, with a glass bridge connecting the two wings of the structure allowing you to breeze under Gehry's titanium ribbons.
The location was lovely, with the small, characteristic town of Elciego within walking distance of the hotel and a beautiful view over the town church and vineyards from the breakfast area.
Impeccable room with vineyard view and complimentary valrhona chocolate, the welcome gift as a platinum member was a locally produced olive oil we continued to enjoy at home.
We visited the Guggenheim in Bilbao and, while imposing and impressive, our stay in Elciego provided us with a much more intimate perception of Gehry's work, almost as if we had been two guests in his living room, where he held his sketchbook and told us about the enchanted Basque land his imagination was about to conquer.

We had an amazing time staying at Marques de Riscal. The service and friendly nature of the team was superb. You must do the winery tour and enjoy the spa for an afternoon. Thank you so much to the team. We cannot wait to come back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rioja2014 Spectacular Architecture
Staying at the Hotel Marques de Riscal was a great experience! The staff was very helpful, and upon arrival we were able to purchase an upgrade to a room in the Gehry wing overlooking the village and church. The room itself was worth the entire visit!
Also, our dinner at the traditional restaurant was very good, and a good value.
The pool / sauna area is quite small, so this is not a hotel for a longer "wellness vacation" - but it is an excellent place to visit La Rioja.
