Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute Perfection in Service & Facility I could spend days explaining why and how much I loved our stay at this property. From the moment we arrived, the staff met all needs and exceeding my expectations--even for a 5* property. The one thing that made an impact more than anything else is just how genuine and friendly every single member of the staff truly is. Everyone cares that you enjoy your time at the resort and in Bali and really goes out of their way to assist you in any way they can. The butler service is excellent, and the entire butler staff is tremendously helpful, and like everyone else, anticipates needs and proactively meets them so you don't even have to think about it. Example: On our second to last day, a butler sought us out at breakfast to confirm our flight details and arrange (free) transport from the hotel to the airport and find out if we needed any assistance, packing help, etc. He also noted our late flight time and was able to confirm a later check out time for us shortly afterward. Rather than being locked out at check out time and having to go to the front desk to get new keys (something all frequent travelers have experienced), he proactively had new keys made with the late check out encoded and personally delivered them to us. I'd keep going, but honestly I wouldn't know where to stop. If you're considering a stay in Bali, you'd be a fool not to stay at the St. Regis. May 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Unforgettable Resort and Wedding We are very happy that we chose the St Regis Bali for our wedding and to start our family vacation. This was our 3rd time back to this resort. Each time I am reminded why this is my favorite island and resort. It was a pleasure working with Dwi to plan our wedding. She was very helpful and prepared for every event. I never had to worry that something would be missed even with all of our special requests. Carlos also went above and beyond his duties to make sure our wedding was flawless and our guests were taken care of. He surprised us with many things during our stay and felt like part of the family. We would not have had so much help and support at any other resort. Our butler Andi was so friendly and accommodating. He always appeared after breakfast to drive us back to our villa and checked in with us throughout the day. Everyone at the resort make us feel so welcomed and at home each time we visit. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We have been able to stay in the Gardenia Villa, Lagoon Villa and Strand Villa. Each has something different to offer but our favorite is probably the Gardenia Villa because of the privacy. The lagoon pool is HUGE! Breakfast is the best we have ever had. You can order anything off the menu and they always bring dished around for you to try. I believe the new airport and bypass roads will be complete this year which should speed up travel. Can't wait for our next visit! September 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond 5-star Service If I say by paying so much, luxurious airport transfer is a must... well that's not always the case. But the experience I had with St Regis was just beyond luxurious airport transfer. Airport pick up was quick, the car had already waited for us (we did not have to wait for the car to arrive from the parking lot) despite the fact that our plane arrived late. Hotel check-in experience was another thing. Upon arriving at the resort, I realized that I had left my wallet (that's all I remember) in the plane. The staff quickly called up their stand-by officer at the airport to deal with lost and found. I was panicking but they made my check in experience so swift before I knew it, I was already escorted to my room. Less than 10 minutes in the room, Nizel, the staff at front desk called me up to inform me that they did not find wallet at lost and found instead, they found car keys on my name! (which I did not realized I had left it as well) Subsequent;y, they tried their best to collect the item without my presence in lost and found, and they did. I had my car keys delivered to my room in the late afternoon. Then the rest of the experience just adds on to the excellent service level. Landscape, interior and the gourmet deli is one to be well regarded. Additional WOW factor: the breakfast experience... you name it: river lobster egg omelet, steak and omelet, 'Bali Marie' moctail...delicious waffel (seldom do I find good waffel nowadays) etc etc. Last.... back to airport.. and the airport staff who was the same guy who picked us up, dealt with lost and found, checked us all the way through (his name is Budi by the way). Rated 5 out of 5 by A Beautiful Resort with Outstanding Service We just spent a week in Bali at the St. Regis and can't say enough good things about the resort, staff and the experience. From the wonderful meet/greet service at the airport on arrival and departure to the gracious staff we met throughout our stay, the St. Regis Bali is a 5-star experience. We reserved a garden villa which was beautifully furnished, very private and had its own pool. We were a short walk from everything at the resort - the beach, the pool, the amazing lagoon, the restaurants, the spa and a well-equipped gym. The property has a beautiful, well-maintained beach and there is a stunning swimming spot just a short walk away. The St. Regis offer a number of restaurants on the resort and we sampled them all. We had great food and service everywhere, except for a burger that they serve well done, as fully disclosed on the menu. I should have known better - I'm a medium rare kinda of guy. The breakfast buffet lives up to its billing - anything you could ever imagine, daily specials presented at your table, lots of fresh juices and smoothies and plenty of staff to take care of you, all with big gracious smiles. The butlers and concierge were very helpful with recommendations for activities, ground transportation and restaurants. Our special thanks to the Chief Butler Carlos and Butler Amos - they took such great care of us. While the room rate is not cheap, your rate will include things you'll pay extra for at many other high end resorts: airport transfers, breakfast, wifi, bottled water, even diet cokes at breakfast. It certainly takes away the nickel/dime feeling that i've had at some other 5-star resorts. We'd happily go back. October 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by As close to perfection as a hotel can get!!! I have previously stayed at this hotel before, not long after it had first opened and I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the lack of Platinum SPG loyalty they conveyed at the time and various other slight issues I ran into during that particular visit. I put that down to the hotel being relatively juvenile at the time and adequate training had yet to be established. I have to say, on my latest visit the improvements were both extensive and visible at all levels of both the hotel and the staffing excellence. This hotel is rated a category 7, the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a hotel in the Starwood collection and it thoroughly deserves that grade based on this visit. At check-in I was greeted by the reservations manager and she welcomed me back (always a nice touch that the hotel has bothered to acknowledge a returning client, rather than a first time visit). In addition, my Platinum status was very much recognized and appreciated and a newly decorated villa suite was allocated to me. The villa was fabulous; the service was impeccable and practically flawless. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of staff and everyone was always smiling and courteous. The food quality was extremely high and the attention to detail was second to none. All in all, I wish I had stayed a few more days at this resort alas, I had several other hotels in the collection to inspect… well done St Regis Bali – you did a great job and I very much look forward to coming back again to see if you can emulate this very high standard that you have set yourself. Thank you for providing an extremely high quality experience indeed. This hotel should be used an example to others in the collection of how service standards can be at the highest level – very impressive. May 5, 2014
