We stayed at this property in October and had great expectations. Upon arrival after a long flight, we just wanted to get to our room and sleep. The front desk was so disorganized. The staff completely ignored us even and kept helping others who just walked right up to them. There was no concept of waiting in line. Numerous times we pointed out that we were SPG Gold members thinking that it would help us get checked in faster, but they could have cared less. Once we did get our room, we were surprised that it was 2 beds instead of one. Also it was in the SPG wing with a horrible view on the first floor. After we slept, we asked to be moved to a room with one bed and a better view but it was told they could not accommodate us. Very disappointing as we've stayed at many SPG properties, what a let down. I do not recommend this hotel at all if you're visiting Cairo, very out of the way except for the Pyramids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hamdkha Very Nice hotel with a view to the History!
One of the best hotel I have ever seen, staff are very welcoming, they are all very helpful from the arrival throughout the stay. The bell boy Mohamed with very helpful when we change our room. We had an issue with the first dinner at the main restaurant, but the restaurant manager was smart enough to handle it, this guy is a great asset to the hotel. Hala the training manager was very helpful and even she went an extra step by asking us every morning how was the last day and if any assistance that we may need. The cafe by the swimming pool is a great place to relax after dinner specially with one of those cup of mint tea! food is excellent, waiters and chefs of the main restaurant were all very helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bryan49 Excellent hotel and service for western travelers
Arriving in Egypt for the first time and arriving at the hotel really felt warm and inviting upon our arrival. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff was very attentive. The outdoor pool facilities were really nice and relaxing with a view to the pyramids as a backdrop was stunning! The spa facilities were used often at night after each daily adventure and was a nice way to unwind after a long day of exploring. There is several restaurant options to choose from inside the hotel and the food choices cater to a lot of different cultures which was nice to have a variety of choices. I did have an uh oh moment when my packback was inadvertently left in the lobby for several hours before I realized it. Ismail, the head bell captain, found it and took it to security room which I was very grateful for when I returned for it. All in all, a great experience and would stay there again the next time I travel there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tjsKathleen Fabulous Views, food, & service
I went for a short stay to see the Pyramids. The view from my room was unbelievable, I could see the Great Pyramids 24/7! Since I was traveling solo, I did not venture too far from the hotel. I ate at both restaurants, and the pool bar. The food was impecable, and the service was first rate. I thought the prices were fair considering the location and the quality. I did not use any of the services listed (spa) & was dissapointed that there was not a gift shop. other than that, it was delightful

Rated 3 out of 5 by IRONMANJT Extremely poor SPG recognition, rude staff.
First off, let me be up-front: the hotel seemed to be going through major renovation work, yet facilities were always clean and functional - no problems there. I had two problems: despite SPG clearly indicating plenty of suites for sale they refused an upgrade saying quote: "SPG is lying." I asked what would happen if I paid and booked for one on the spot - only to be met with a blank stare. My other complaint is the staff follows you everywhere and refuses to let you do anything yourself. Obviously fishing for baksheesh, but it gets annoying not to be left alone for a minute - you can't even carry your own bags to the room.

Had a great two stay here with my family. Its far enough away from the city to be free from any political nonsense, but is super close to Giza historical sites.. like you see two pyramids whilst swimming in the hotel pool.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. As Starwood Platinum I received a great suite upgrade, free drinks in the lobby bar, and a bunch of other value added benefits.
Rooms air condition to ICE cold.. like my daughter was in a sweater I got it so cool.
I would come back here in a minute. I really don't want to leave..
Really enjoyable property that is a amazing value.
Its not a Cat 7 Lux. Property.. its Egypt.
Its a little slower pace, but super friendly.
Tame your expectations and you'll love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SouthKorean Pyramids View Room is highly recommended
I stopped over one night at Cairo on my way to Sharm El Sheikh.
You will enjoy three things at Le Meridien Pyramids.
First, staffs remember you and your name during your stay as soon as you check in.
Second, staffs speak good English and are very accommodating and friendly.
And third, literally you can see Pyramids in your room or in outdoor swimming pools.
There are a couple of things that you may not be satisfied with though.
First, there is no extra privileges for SPG Gold & Platinum members such as free breakfast or free internet access.
And second, if you like to walk around, there is not many things to see except for Pyramids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shuffles Great stay
We stayed in this hotel twice for our tour of Egypt with Memphis Tours. The rooms were very pleasant and the staff was really superb. The front desk very helpful also. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the pools very relaxing and enjoyable with a great view of the Pyramids. I was nervous at first to come to Cairo but the hotel really made us feel safe and they treat tourists really well.
