Rated 5 out of 5 by Le meridien - more than a hotel My wife and me stayed at le meridien for four overnights. The first impression of the hotel was absolutly great - we had the luck to met the (famous!) portier Said! He gave us immediatly the feeling to be on holiday. Very friendly and always with a warm and honest smile, it was every time a pleasure to speak with him. He took care for us, asking where we wanted to go and gave a lot of good information about prices and places. Unforgetable are also the arabic lessons - choukran! I would be unfair not to speak about an second person which stands for the special atmosphere at this hotel - it is the consierge Mr. Youssef. If further guest come to the Meridien, don't be shy to ask for help. Okay, to get help from the consierge at a hotel is standard - but in our case we had all the time quick and professional results (car rental). As selforganizer of a our trip to marroc, we recognized to late which good and honest help the staff ot the hotel could provide. For example, if you arrive by plane, inform the hotel that they should sent a taxi driver to airport- you will save a lot of dirhams... All the other unknown staffmembers have done their jobs really good. The man at the pool who opens all the the time with a smile on the lipps the paraplui for us! Our the roomservice which decorated the bed with a nice arrangements with roses. The hotel was clean, the room new and with good TV and HiFi Equipment. The beds have been really good!!! The pool area and espacilly the huge garden gave us a really good enviroment to relax. We didn't have breakfast and didn't went to the spa. June 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Marrakech a place to visit This was the first time we have stayed at this hotel. Very clean and comfortable, staff went out of there way to ensure we were totally looked after, The gardens, swimming pool and all the facilities are just perfect. This hotel is a few years old but still retains its charm of Morocco. Well worth a vist. It would be nice to name all the staff that looked after us. surfice to say a very special thank you to them all. We will certainly visit again in the future. September 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best staff ever Had a second great experience at the hotel. The concierge staff was extremely attentive!! Special thanks to Youssef who pretty much built and entire itinerary for our stay and we got to maximize the 4 days spent there. I will definitely stay there again as well as recommend to others. Rated 3 out of 5 by love the pool This hotel has beautiful, well maintained gardens and pool. The staff are very helpful. The rooms do not reflect the same level of comfort as other Le Meridian hotels I have stayed at. June 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Award Value This hotel was a breath of fresh air after traveling though southern Morocco. Is it perfect? No. But it is one of the best award values out there, and you can tell that the management is really trying to please. I enjoyed a suite with nice TVs, a bath tub and separate shower, minibar, 2 restrooms, etc. Quite nice facilities. The grounds are lovely with beautiful gardens surrounding a large pool. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the medina and conveniently located with nearby restaurants in the new town. Things they still need to improve -- slow internet, getting the service button to work on the room phone (could not find any other numbers anywhere, so had to walk to front desk). We were all sick from some bad food elsewhere, and it took a long time for them to bring us more toiletries after I walked down and made a request. Not the greatest fitness center, but adequate for us. All in all, I will take this starwood value over many other hotels. May 24, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by Perfect service but average hotel Service wise this was probably one of the best hotels I stayed at. The entire staff was friendly, everyone from the housekeepers to the Concierge were fantastic. I was surprised and impressed by everyone. When I first checked in the bellman escorted me to the room and showed me around, which is something I haven't seen much of at Starwood properties as much . Its something I would expect in a 5 star 5 diamond hotel. As far as the property goes, there was good and bad. The tower I was in was separate from the the main hotel. You didn't have to walk far, but you had to walk outside and Marrakech is cold at night. I also felt my room and the whole hotel was cold in general. Maybe because they do leave some the doors open leading to the outside, but whatever the reason it was colder compared to other Starwood hotels which was not comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, it is walk able to Jemaa el Fna Square and Koutoubia Mosque. There is also Grand Mammounia Casino that is within walking distance too. It is about 10 dirhams to the airport by cab. The nearest ATM unfortunately is outside the hotel and down the street about 7 minute walk at a local bank. Outside there is a huge shopping mall under construction. I was not impressed with the food there. I did not try the breakfast, but I order some Moroccan lamb steak, and it was not good. The Concierge desk was great, Taoufiq and Youssef were so helpful with their knowledge of the city. Even prior to my arrival, they had been corresponding with me regarding tours and shuttle pickups. Imad at the Front Desk is another outstanding member of this staff. He's so friendly and patient, you can ask him so many questions and you never feel rushed by him. Overall, this is a hotel with 5 star service with average amenities. I felt the price was fair, as I used points and cash. February 12, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Was fine for the only SPG property in Marrakesh Le Meridien brand is generally solid across geographies and I tend to stay at them often since the value is there between price, location and usually above average service. This location was friendly but the service was average. They showed reluctance to make change for Dirham which weren't part of a dollar exchange (just needed smaller bills). The internet was spotty in and around the room. The SPG platinum benefits were not made fully available until our ambassador called to rectify the situation. The recommendations made by the hotel were very touristy (which is expected). They did, however, help us keep the cab drivers honest. That was greatly appreciated. Marrakesh was great, the amount we paid for the service/accommodation we received was on par for expectations but slightly below what we expected from the Le Meridien as a brand. January 17, 2015
