Rated 3 out of 5 by Perfect service but average hotel Service wise this was probably one of the best hotels I stayed at. The entire staff was friendly, everyone from the housekeepers to the Concierge were fantastic. I was surprised and impressed by everyone. When I first checked in the bellman escorted me to the room and showed me around, which is something I haven't seen much of at Starwood properties as much . Its something I would expect in a 5 star 5 diamond hotel. As far as the property goes, there was good and bad. The tower I was in was separate from the the main hotel. You didn't have to walk far, but you had to walk outside and Marrakech is cold at night. I also felt my room and the whole hotel was cold in general. Maybe because they do leave some the doors open leading to the outside, but whatever the reason it was colder compared to other Starwood hotels which was not comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, it is walk able to Jemaa el Fna Square and Koutoubia Mosque. There is also Grand Mammounia Casino that is within walking distance too. It is about 10 dirhams to the airport by cab. The nearest ATM unfortunately is outside the hotel and down the street about 7 minute walk at a local bank. Outside there is a huge shopping mall under construction. I was not impressed with the food there. I did not try the breakfast, but I order some Moroccan lamb steak, and it was not good. The Concierge desk was great, Taoufiq and Youssef were so helpful with their knowledge of the city. Even prior to my arrival, they had been corresponding with me regarding tours and shuttle pickups. Imad at the Front Desk is another outstanding member of this staff. He's so friendly and patient, you can ask him so many questions and you never feel rushed by him. Overall, this is a hotel with 5 star service with average amenities. I felt the price was fair, as I used points and cash. February 12, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Was fine for the only SPG property in Marrakesh Le Meridien brand is generally solid across geographies and I tend to stay at them often since the value is there between price, location and usually above average service. This location was friendly but the service was average. They showed reluctance to make change for Dirham which weren't part of a dollar exchange (just needed smaller bills). The internet was spotty in and around the room. The SPG platinum benefits were not made fully available until our ambassador called to rectify the situation. The recommendations made by the hotel were very touristy (which is expected). They did, however, help us keep the cab drivers honest. That was greatly appreciated. Marrakesh was great, the amount we paid for the service/accommodation we received was on par for expectations but slightly below what we expected from the Le Meridien as a brand. January 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very attentive staff and comfortable hotel We were very well received by polite and attentive staff, our Starwood membership led to a complimentary room upgrade which was excellent, hotel has large manicured gardens, clean rooms and great food. It will be useful to have tea and coffee facilities in the room including a kettle or option to request one, this will be a huge benefit to this hotel since all other 5 star hotels around the world have this as standard. Will definitely recommend and will be returning in the near future. Thank you to all staff for a pleasant stay January 7, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Another visit to paradise The prime reason we returned to Morocco was because of how well the staff of Le Meridien N'Fis treated us last year. From bell hops to reception to housekeeping to management, we are treated like gold. I put this to the excellent General Manager, being Mathieu de Tonnac. Once again, we were not disappointed by the wonderful reception we received upon check in. Hassan, Farid, Ezdi and Mathieu remembered us from our last visit. This is of course, a great feeling for a guest to have. I will write again as we are checking back in in five days as there is so much to say. Steve November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expectations exceeded! We spent 5 nights at the Meridien N'Fis last week for our honeymoon. I booked with points. As a platinum member I was first upgraded to an executive room, but because we travelled with our 9-year-old son, the general manager, Mathieu de Tonnac decided that we needed more privacy and upgraded us to a 4th floor Ambassador Suite! Our son could sleep in the living room. This was a greatly appreciated gesture. Then we received champagne (Moët & Chandon) and a huge fruit plate! The hotel has a vast, lush and well maintained garden and a nice pool (but the water was very cold). I was surprised to see so many flowers in bloom in november, even roses. To whole staff was extremely friendly and helpfull, especially the concierges Youssef and his assistant Taoufiq as well as Saïd, the doorman. I was nicely surprised to find the hotel in better shape than I feared when reading some reviews. True, the decoration of the rooms is not modern but with moroccan accents. Also true, the curtains are "tired", some with small holes in it, but it did not impaire the room darkening, so we didn't care. The bathroom was big with separate bath and shower and still looked as new. There was an extra toilet in the living area, nice for our son. On the downside, the pillows were too hard for us to sleep well. Also, we had some issues with the room service, twice we didn't receive what we ordered but the food was OK. Breakfast was included since I choosed it as platinum amenity. The offering was sufficient, but not great if you have to pay the 200DH for it. The restaurant inside looks cold, but the adjacent (partly) outside moroccan tent and furniture is cosy and nicely decorated. Overall this was a very nice experience and exceeded our expectations. We will be back!... November 13, 2014
