Considering a Sunday night and off season it was as I had expected. Having to eat at Three Saddles not big deal. Staff friendly & professional. At leaqst did not have to leave property.

On 8/16 I received a $30 breakfast I didn't order. I asked the clerk to find out how that could happen, but no response. Room 539 had major temperature fluctuations in the shower

We met at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort for a conference. The staff was friendly. The food was excellent. The room was clean, had good decor, and a nice flow to it.

While there were many pluses to our stay - cleanliness of the condo (#606) and comfortable beds being among the top, it was disconcerting to find that the ice maker in the refrigerator had been removed and no ice trays substituted. I've stayed in condos in many hotels and never experienced this, especially in high end properties. I was told to get ice from the machine in the hall, which was totally inadequate as they are ice shavings and melt immediately - not ice cubes. Plus, this should not be the situation for condo rental rather than room rental. Also, there was no information about Steamboat itself, maps, things to do, etc, available in the room or in the lobby. I understand other people got a newspaper outside their doors in the morning but I never did. These might seem like small items but the distinguish premium properties from lesser ones. You have a way to go.

The staff was outstanding and the location is perfect. What more could you ask for? Comfortable beds? They have them, too. Highly recommended!!!

The room was fine, expensive but ok. The hotel food was just ok as well. The lounge act was astonishingly bad covers of 70s songs that everyone was trying to talk over. It drove us away from there and we ordered room service However, I ordered room service, and my credit card was charged twice. Calling to get tis resolved took a lot of time, and I faced a lot of arguments, despite holding the documentation from the hotel. If you are a person who doesn't check your bill in detail, or don't have the time to argue with the hotel, don't stay here. Ad

we came to ski at the Steamboat. The hotel has the best location with rental and storage facilities inside the hotel and hotel is right next to lifts. The staff is very friendly and overall sevice is excellent. The shuttle service is quite convenient, saving our trouble of having to drive on the icy road. The only thing that was missing is the spa that was not working during our stay, but does not change our overall 5-star rating for this hotel.

To be fair there are a lot of things I liked about the hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and the hotel is in a perfect location for skiers. The ski valet, covered parking and location of the hotel are all major pluses and we were shocked to find that a major hotel would accept dogs, especially with no fee. That alone will make us return, so, so nice.
Now the bad, I reserved a prepaid rate in August for December. My reservation was never charged and was cancelled for no reason whatsoever, even the hotel couldn't find out why it was cancelled. Luckily the front desk reissued the room for the same rate. This could have been averted with a simple email, unfortunately the email address was completely wrong which leads me to believe they forgot to ask and made something up.
When I arrived I went to the bar to grab a beer and a pizza, stayed for an hour or so and went back to my room. The next morning I noticed my card was missing and went down to the bar, they were not interested at all in even looking for it and told me to go to the front desk and ask security, which I did. They called security and no one had turned it in. I stopped by the front desk about 10 times and no one turned it it, etc. I asked one final time on Friday night, they said no, I went back to my room and received a call about 30 minutes later. It was security and they found my card. I was then told on the advice of the bank they cancelled my debit card. Why they couldn't return the card or have me come down to get it is beyond me and could not have been a bigger pain in the butt. I might add security called me in the room, so they knew I was still staying at the hotel and could have easily picked up the card. I just think this was handled extremely poorly, being that this was a debit card it caused a major issue.
Another major negative was the food, i ordered a pizza and eggs Benedict in the restaurants and the eggs Benedict was the worst thing I've eaten in a long time. I was literally embarrassed that I took my parents to breakfast here.
Another negative was the hot tubs which were surprisingly under construction during the height of ski season. I feel this should be updated in the website.
I titled this review the way I did because sometimes things happen and I have all the faith in the world if we returned we would not expect the same experience, however, this stay was well below average in terms of overall satisfaction.

There was not a lot of snow to start the season, but the hotel was great and the staff was super friendly & helpful. We were traveling with 2 children (5 & 9) and the staff was great with them. We loved the heated outdoor pool and the convenience of skiing right out of the hotel. We will visit again soon!

Thanks to everyone at the Sheraton Steamboat for making our stay a real holiday. The hotel is in the best location for ski in ski out. The staff are fantastic, rather than trying hard to please they are genuine and warm people so taking care of you comes naturally. We will be back. Thanks again.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay!! Everyone in the hotel were so nice and very helpful with all of our arrangements. This was our very first ski vacation with our girls, and we will stay again and again for many years to come!!!!

Hotel location is great - ski in and out, what more can you ask for. weakness is the room - the hvac varied significantly and when on blew direct on the bed...came home after 4 days with a stuffed up head I believe this caused.

Best location in Steamboat, right on the gondola base. Ski storage, good parking, and quiet, comfortable rooms. Hot tubs under renovation now, so should be better later this season.
