The facilities in this resort are great, but thats where it ends. Constant poor service plagued our 3 night stay - the hotel dont ask for feedback when checking out. I asked for a feedback form to feedback specific information and have received no correspondance,. Seems like this hotel relies on thei facilities, oesnt want feedback and when given i dont wan to do anythin aout it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Victory1 This hotel's service & overall experience is not worth the price & fail to meet marketed claims
I have stayed, had meetings & dined at many Starwood hotels in the past & have been pretty pleased at the level of service & experience. Hence, when we decided to go to Langkawi with the children, we just looked at staying at Westin or Sheraton.
However, to our dismay, this is one of the worst hotel experiences we've had as a family.
I can understand the level of service if I am charged room rates at half the price of what I paid but considering the room rates I expected much more.
To start off, we checked in at about 4.30pm & was allocated a room that smelled of cigarette smoke in a hotel that claims that their rooms are 100% non smoking. Even the towels smelled of smoke. Considering we just arrived, we requested that room service come in 1 hour later at 5.30pm when we would be at the pool to air & freshen the room. When we returned to our room at 7pm to shower before dinner, nothing has been done to our room.
Secondly, I would highly suggest that if a hotel cannot live up to what it promises, better to not promise it at all. Claims of the heavenly shower was all over your website & your brochures & even in the room - it even claimed to have a spa like experience (seriously!). The first room & the one we were moved to had terrible showers. The hot & cold water was difficult to control - either too hot or too cold & nearly scalded by 6 year old son in our first room.
Thirdly, the key card to our first room failed to work with 2 changes between 4.30pm & 7.30pm.
As you can imagine by 7.30pm, just before leaving the hotel for dinner, I was absolutely fuming. I spoke to the front desk staff whom directed me to the manager Edmund whom I must compliment handled the situation professionally & swiftly. He promised to arrange for another room on a higher floor by the time we got back from dinner which he did.
The new room did not have the smoke smell & the key card works but still had a terrible shower which we resigned ourselves to for the rest of our holiday. My 8 year old daughter commented "why is it called a heavenly shower when it's worse that the one we have at home?" I have no answer.

Great stay, comfortable rooms , friendly staff and the breakfast was good. Only thing should enable free WIFI in rooms.

This hotel i has too many steps . There is no elevator to pools side.
There is only one public room with air con. The restaurant, The bar and other public areas have no aircon. The only way to keep cool is to stay in your room

Our stay in May was overall very good, we had a problem with getting into our room as the key card would not work on many occasions but the staff were great and tried to fix the problem.Especially Bryan. We loved the singers on at night they were only on a short time as the other singers were coming back from leave but we loved them. The only fault i could find with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning in some of the areas. Even when i had a pedicure and manicure it was so hot all they had was a fan in the room not very good for 5 star hotel. Overall everything else was fine, especially the bed now I know why it is called the heavenly bed.The bedding was also excellent.

Delivered less than promised on website - from rooms to dining to overall ambience. Staff attitude gratifying but need better training, problem solving skills. Best things about hotel; Feels safe, pool and pool-bar, gym, beds, sea view, buffet breakfast, concierge, room service including cleaners, right attitude towards tipping. Improvement needed: Improve room quality or lower rates, dining fare, beach and sea-sport facilities
