Beautiful setting, superb facilities and great service. A beautiful place to acclimate in the Sacred Valley. All staff was wonderful, but a special thank you to the concierge, Matthias, who went out of his way to handle a booking issue with another hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The hotel is lovely in a lovely setting. The room was wonderfully cozy and comfortable. I believe this was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on!
There are so many reasons to stay here:
The little town and square of Urubumba is a short less than 5 minute walk directly outside the hotel entrance.
The Peru Rail Train station is on the property , again a 3 minute walk!
Setting is like being in a park. Lovely mountains and a river.
The biggest surprise was the food in the restaurant. The restaurant served the best food we have eaten anywhere. And very reasonable. We ate here for breakfast buffets and dinner for the 3 days of our stay. (also lunch when we were here) There was no reason to go elsewhere.
The staff is professional and ready to help make your visit the best it can be. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the Sacred Valley.

My wife and I spent 4 days/3 nights in the Tambo del Inka, Urambama. First, it was a great base for exploring the Sacred Valley...Machu Picchu, Moray, Maras, Chincheros, Ollantaytambo. Second, it was an absolutely breathtaking hotel. The accommodations are 5 star. The staff is beyond courteous and very accommodating. It amazed us how willing the staff was to cater to their guests' needs. For example, the hotel had us meet with the head chef and pastry chef to ensure they provided for my wife's dietary restrictions (celiac/nondairy).
And we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the spa. With no exaggeration, we had the best deep tissue massage of our lives. Usually people say deep tissue and you can't even feel it. Believe us when we say you need this massage after hiking all day! Thank you to Cynthia and Marelia....you're fantastic!
This trip was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you Tambo del Inka for a great stay and thank you to the absolutely excellent staff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillRMD SPECTACULAR STAY!!
Among the most stunningly beautiful properties and exceptional stays we have ever enjoyed over many years (and nearly 800 nights in Starwood properties!) across 5 continents. Perfectly located for multiple explorations of the fabulous Sacred Valley, as a jumping off point for a day (or longer) trip to Machu Picchu, and for a lower altitude environment than Cusco. Hotel design, room (we were in a junior suite on an SPG Platinum confirmed upgrade), and environs unbeatable. Hawa restaurant breakfasts and dinners delicious and elegantly served. Bar menu after a long day of exploration "just the ticket". Twice-a-day housekeeping flawless. Grounds lovely and immaculate, pool and spa wonderful retreats. Coffee/tea (incl coca tea) service in lobby comforting and convenient. "Private" PeruRail train station less than 5 minute walk from reception area. Town of Urubamba outside grounds pleasant, easily accessible, and with several excellent restaurants. Staff nothing short of exceptional: I will today highlight Rossana and her team at the concierge desk (GREAT recommendations, including transportation); Gonzalo at front of house (kind, informative, helpful); and Tedino in the Hawa Restaruant - what amazing professionals all!! We very much look forward to our return!

We absolutely loved this property and wished we had stayed longer. The pool is lovely, heated well, with passage between indoor and outdoor. My 9 year old loved it as well. There is a nice game room for playing too. This was the perfect relaxed, low-key but elegant place for us. Exceptional service! We took the train to Machu Picchu in town rather than onsite and it was very close. The onsite travel agency was also wonderful in arranging a driver to take us around the Sacred Valley. He was not a tour guide and didn't speak English but since I am fluent in Spanish I found he was very knowledgeable.

- This hotel is amazing - beautiful with a 5 star restaurant. It is within a short 5 minute stroll to the Machu Picchu train. Hotel personnel take your luggage to the train and load it for you. Our objective was to stay in Sacred Valley to become accustomed to the altitude. We arrived in Cusco early morning and spent the balance of the day touring on the way to the hotel. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early so our stay was brief. After staying at the hotel, I would recommend that you allocate sufficient time to enjoy this fabulous property.

Just spent two nights in the Senior Suite and loved every minute of it. Hotel and grounds are immaculate, food is wonderful and setting is truly breath taking. SPG recognition is very good. Smaller gym than I would have expected but did not take away from the experience one bit. As a Platinum member you'd be crazy not to enjoy the breakfast benefit in Hawa restaurant. To me it rivals the best Le Meridien's in Europe. If by chance you are there and haven't booked tours there is an in house company that can take care of that.
In summary amazing hotel, probably best room and location I've ever stayed at and the grounds are worth exploring too. I plan to stay for longer on my next stay.
