We have gone for the past three years. great staff, nice town, super spa and I got is some beautiful fishing. All in all highly recommended

A resort that is in a nice area that offers great outdoor activities. The hotel is antique and the amenities are not on par with what you would expect at such property. Our room appeared to be newly renovated. However, the drapes were constantly broken and it took the staff up to 24hrs to fix them. In addition a lamp wasn't working as well as the water in the bath room. It got fixed, but took quite some time. As the room had only a queen size bed we asked for a bigger one - which at the time of the check in was not available. We were promised to be informed as soon something else opened up. This never happened – en contraire, whenever we asked at the front desk nobody knew of the request. My back hurt after the first night as the mattress wasn't very firm. After the third night I had to go to a chiropractor. The staff didn't feel in charge of problems which resulted into a lot of frustration. In general – staff walking by in the hallways never greeted guests. The pool was a mess due to the armada of children; the gym didn't have air condition – solely a fan trying to circulate air. It was in the upper 90’s – it was impossible to work out there.

We have come here regularly over the past 4 years. As previously noted, the hotel and facilities are great however the staff still lacks training in the platinum benefits. On my previous stay (last month) I chose continental breakfast for my platinum amenity- the breakfast was for 2 people. As the breakfast is good I once again requested this amenity. To my somewhat surprise the lady checking me in insisted that the benefit was only for the member. When I noted that I was sure that it was for 2 she went to the back office to consult with someone and came back, once again saying that it was only for 1 person. As such I voiced my displeaseure and said I wanted to register a complaint with management re the inconsistencies with platinum benefits. The lady then noted that she would authorize a breakfast for 2 as she didn't want an unhappy guest. When she went to fill in the SPG breakfast card she started reading it out, and to her surprise, it stated that BREAKFAST WAS FOR THE MEMBER AND 1 OTHER PERSON. She apologized but how many other guests were mislead and why was the person who was consulted in the back office not aware of this benefit either?

Nice visit to the Equinox to celebrate a birthday. Staff very friendly. Food and service were very good. Deluxe rooms were a nice size, but the bathroom area was relatively small. Housekeeping was okay, but they did not automatically check to see if they needed to refresh such things as q-tips, shampoo, etc.. Had to ask for a shower cap. Room was clean but bathroom shower was not well done. The tile placement was not done with good craftsmanship, and the grouting was starting to show wear and minor mold. The spa, pool and facilities were lovely. Once the week-end arrived the resort got quite noisy with an overload of children. The children were not a problem, it was the parents who did not know how children should behave in public spaces.. No clue to the adults about what is acceptable behavior in public.
All in all, a very nice birthday with our adult children and their spouses. Something available for each person' s interest.
By the way, the new modern lobby , although nicely done, does not fit the atmosphere of a traditional New England town or of this hotel. The lobby area of years past had a comforting, homey touch, not a cold modern feel.

My wife and I wanted a nice fall getaway we got a fantastic one. We will certainly be back to enjoy all that is offered at The Equinox.

Friendly helpful staff, extremely relaxing environment. I have only one issue, the pool closes at 8PM during the week instead of 10PM.

Being there before and impressed with facilities especially room size and quality of furniture, staff friendliness etc, we were expecting at least as good or even better for our winter ski vacations. Price you were asking for 1 night is ridiculous (!) ,multiplying x 3 makes is
unforeseeable even for family with higher
income like ours, when nothing is really extra.
Floor in the room is on the slope (!),so I cannot imagine how difficult must be for elderly folks hiking to the bed:( not mention to walk in fear as floor is creaky,you can easily fell; you hear every step outside of your room . Doors were with huge gap due to that fact as it was not possible to align... (!) we were on the top floor and we enjoy the view of Wet cracks on the wall :(?
Plumbing in the bathtub terrible:(,water takes forever to disappear, because of crocked floor night table was hazard to use... The list can go longer ... Manager was very helpful and tried to overcome our bad experience but what he can change for couple nights?. Since we were during winter season we need warmth, but
air conditioner was loud and worked on his own schedule on & off :(
Stuff was friendly but not efficient in this chaotic weekend..
