Rated 4 out of 5 by Great experience at Westin Phuket My family had wonderful experience by staying at Westin Phuket: room upgraded to suite with great view, excellent happy-hour, all staff are kind and helpful. Everying is perfect, except for the beach, which is not as good as the other ones in Phuket. August 25, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Low maintenance The resort need a lot of work done the paint is falling from the wall, the room was noise with the carts room 4428 right were the carts park by that building , we ask them to change us to another room and the change was denaided, in the morning we had a early tour and we ask for a plastic container to take just some fruit with us and they say it was against the resort policy. No free Internet beside the lobby! Bathroom light didn't work, carts usually didn't came to pick up, everybody ( employes) is on their cellphones and also I saw a few in Facebook on the resort computers. I ask for a pack of cigarettes and it took 40 min for them to bring them , we eat at the Italian restaurant and the food was really bad. And we order pizza to the room and it was the worth I ever had beside they only brought the pizza box with no plates or silver ware. We have been traveling around Asia for over a month now matter fact we are in Singapore right now. And westin Phuket has been the only bad experience thru our trip. May 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Shabby Workmanship of hotel This Hotel was built in 2010 and already falling apart. Pool Tiles falling off, Elect. Outlets came out of the wall, Roofs already covered with plastic apparently leaking. Staff was wonderful, room didn't meet up to other Westin Hotels I have stayed not on my top ten of SPG Hotels. Rated 5 out of 5 Food, Pools and cleaningness as a 40 year traveller, trader with Hotels, and advisor for P&G, Lever and Henkel in cleaning trade to hotels, bed linnen etc, there is not one remakr to be made, even using my best immagination and opening my book of Pinokkio stories I have heard ofr this period of my working life February 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best View, Nice location Best View, Nice location easy access to the town the view is awesome a bit disappoint about the cleanliness of room especially on the top cover of table and terrace, rooms are located up around the hill so you have to climb up to room or wait for the staff to pick up May 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by very nice hotel in phuket I arrived early and early check-in was possible immediately. everything including staffs, breakfast and correspondence for my request was excellent. I do want to visit here again soon. Bad thing: they charge 100 baht for one way trip to town. August 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fanstastic stay From welcome check-in to departure, everything were perfectly executed. Service is impeccable, great pools, great food and we love their attention to details. We visit Phuket every year for the past three year, first time in Westin Siray and will surely not the last. July 2, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pricey yet nice Traveling to Phuket for our honeymoon, the Westin seemed like an obvious choice. This hotel is beautiful and the privacy is a plus. However, this played on the downside: food and dribks are Extremely expensive and sincerily below average for our standards. March 28, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Facility and Beautiful atmosphere Overall, Hotel is perfectly nice. Nice swimming pool and Breakfast restaurant. But some guide service (Recommendation for tourist was not available) and room cleanliness were less than my expectation. August 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unclean and Far from Rest of Island My girlfriend and I had booked a room at this hotel in September. When we got to our room, we noticed there were spots in the bathroom mirrors and the furniture was old and stained. There were lots of scuff marks on the mirror near the doorway as well. While the room was being cleaned, we decided to go into the city, but was told that there were only a few shuttles from the hotel to the city, and that there was a fare required in order to take the shuttle. That was surprising and unfortunate as there is nothing around the hotel that you could walk to. The only other way to get to the city is by cab. After my girlfriend started complaining about the lack of transportation and the cleanliness of the room, we ended up having our room upgraded by the hotel manager. The room was spacious and had a great view, but again the furniture was older and stained (such as cup stains on a wooden table). The following morning we went to the pool to relax. There was a bar at the pool where my girlfriend could order a drink. She ordered a martini, and it seemed to take forever to make. Another patron came up to the bar and ordered a pina colada, which he ended up getting almost immediately. We got very upset at the service at that point (we should have gotten our drink first before the other patron) and decided to check out immediately. October 26, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Food and Beverage service is subpar I found this to be a beautiful property but the food and beverage service was severely lacking. The property looked amazing but wasn't located close to anything else. We took several excursions including scuba diving and sailing and had to ride over an hour to each of them. Transportation was included with the excursions for people staying at other hotels but I had to pay extra because we were so far out of the way. There were no other restaurant options nearby so we ate at the resort for almost every meal. There were three main restaurants and I was offered a discount at only one of them due to my Preferred status. I was unable to take advantage of it though due to special events occurring at this restaurant while I was there. The other restaurants Esst and Seasons had very poor dinner services. My experiences were very similar at both locations. When we arrived, there was no one there to greet us and we stood around for at least 5 minutes waiting on someone to say hello. We would then be seated and left for another 10 minutes without even being provided with a menu until we flagged someone down and asked for it. This happened in both locations. Nothing was provided up front, no water, bread or anything unless you specifically asked for it. We felt the need to place our entire order at once, drinks, apps, dinner, etc for fear of not seeing the waiter again. Things were delivered as they became available, my dinner arriving a few minutes before my wife's and then no one checked on us again once it was served. Water was provided several times during the meal but that was about it. We had to ask for the check just so we could get out of there. We also had issues with room service. My wife ordered a salmon salad from the menu and received a piece of salmon with a small bowl of melted butter. We asked for the salad and later received a bowl of dressed mixed greens. Two days later, my wife ordered the same dish at the actual Seasons restaurant and the salad she received was much different coming not just with the mixed greens but also tomatoes and a variety of other vegetables so there was no consistency in the product being served. I'm not a wealthy man so this was a splurge for our honeymoon and the service fell well short of my expectations. That being said, I will say that the food we received was good quality but the service that went with it spoiled any pleasure to be had from it. It seemed to me that in both restaurants there was no leader or manager present so people were left to do as they pleased. Everyone was kind and the restaurants were not busy so I do not know what the issue was but I am now soured on the brand as a whole. In addition, I don't blame the Westin for this but while I was in the infinity pool relaxing, I also had a venomous green tree viper swim up to me and use my neck and shoulder as a launch pad to jump out of the pool. There was also an injured monkey with a large gash on his back running around on our porch the morning before we left. I know you can't really control the wildlife but I am just sharing my overall experience there. The front desk was helpful and we enjoyed the spa on our last day but we won't be returning to that property and I will think twice before booking at any other hotels within the brand. Regards, Jerome P.S. I forgot, we also had some issues with the air conditioner when we arrived and maintenance had to come out to resolve. December 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice fresh... All things fine, staff members keep on interacting with each other even in guest presence. Seems a little discourteous but not intolerable. Breakfast gets too crowded but quite nice on the food and service part. Nice place good value. August 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by SPG and Westin Staff need better coordination The overall hotel facilities and location were pleasant. However, the buggy vehicle service needs to improve. The waiting times were rather long. On one occasion, I had to wait for close to 30min, and no buggy came. In the end, I walked back from the SPA center back to my hotel room. I was also extremely disappointed with the coordination over billing matters, between Hotel staff and SPG. Apparently I was billed by SPG prior to my stay in Westin. But when I checked with the Hotel upon my arrival, I was told there was no payment received, and was advised to make full payment again. Even the prior payment charged to my credit card was wrong. I was shocked when I heard this, and had to spend a Sunday, just staying in the resort to try and resolve this, including calling back SPG Singapore. Quite frankly, my hotel stay was very short, and to spend time resolving this kind of matter is really uncalled for. The stay experience would have been so much better if this was done more professionally in advance! Hope the hotel and SPG pays attention to the above. April 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Unusual Location Hotel is built on the side of a steep hill and provides for a differnet type of holiday. Staff generally firendly, room and view were excellent. breakfast & food good. beach a disappointment. pools too small (because of location) February 11, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Some areas to improve in soft skills I stayed 3 nights for my short vacation. Room was clean and spacious, staff seemed friendly and polite, and breakfast was very nice. Everything seems excellent until the last night of stay when there was water leakage from the ceiling. I called the front desk to report about it and was told to wait for engineer. 20 mins later, I called again because nobody showed up. The lady again told me to wait in the room. Another 20 mins later I called again to ask how long should I wait. It was after more than one hour when finally one engineer showed up. The front desk lady should have told me how long does it take for them to arrange an engineer. It was such a waste of time just waiting for someone to fix the leakage while I needed to go out and buy some medicine for my husband who were suffering from fever. Another hiccup was when I went to join the Pilates exercise session in morning, no one showed up. I waited for instructor in the right place for 15 mins. I checked the night before that I do not need any reservation to take a class so went to the front desk but no one knew what had happened and just replied they needed to check. September 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Peace and Tranquility Stayed for 6D 5N, SPG surprised as I was upgraded to bigger room with a view. I really appreciate the extra welcome service. I enjoyed warm breeze, the peaceful enviroment that is so rare nowadays at any popular resort . April 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent hotel but with a couple of negatives I was here for a corporate event, which was flawlessly organized. The conference facilities are very good and the internet very fast. Food and beverage is outstanding but with one disappointment: the coffee at the breakfast buffet is terrible. Maybe they put too much coffee in the caffetiere, I don't know. The coffee that is brought together with the breakfast in the rooms is excellent, however. So I am not sure what is going on there. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. I had one problem though that they were renovating the room above me: after complaining they stopped. When I moved to the Sala pool villa I of course did not have that problem anymore. However, annoyingly on my free Saturday, again renovation sounds were coming from one of the rooms and sound of the worst kind: cutting tiles... The management should not allow stone and tile cutting to be done within hotel premises. Measurements can be taken and stone cut outside of the premises. Apart from the above gripes I still think this is an excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. July 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel/resort is absolutely amazing!!! Our stay at this hotel was great. We chose this venue for our anniversary. The hotel was just lovely, furnishings were very tastefully done, our room was fantastic. The rooms are large with big bathrooms, the views were magnificent. The service from all the staff was extraordinare. It was nice to see the General Managers desk situated in the foyer where people often walked past and he was happy to have a chat at anytime. The restaurants were clean and tasteful the food was excellant, and buffet breakfasts had a large range to choose from. We had the most wonderful aromatherapy massage in the spa there - highly recommended .Even though some rooms can be a distance away from the main hotel there is always hotel transport to take you to and from your room. There was hotel transport to the main shopping centres at a minimal fee. The gardens/grounds are impeccably maintained. The hotel is good for singles couples and families. We will definetly be coming back again and recommending this wonderful hotel to all our family and friends. Thankyou to management and staff for a lovely stay. September 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Remote location, good facilities A relatively new hotel with good facilities and newish rooms with beautiful ocean view. Negatives include lazy housekeeping staff, limited beach and remote location (about an hour from Patong beach). December 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Hotel The layout of the hotel is very beautiful and the facilities are the same. Overall the rooms are very clean but some furniture a bit run down and scratched. Food was very good in all outlets. March 10, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Very disappointing I am a SPG member and stay. At the hotels expec Westins quite often. To say this was one of my worst experiences is an understatement From the moment I walked in- staff was rude and not helpful: - room not ready, no welcome drinks accommodations etc.... Ok so we waited asked for a map- seemed to be inconvenient and then were finally given a Russian map (we speak English) told there were none, and then proceeded I. Our own to ask someone else minutes later and were provided one. Out luggage (fragile) was thrown into a golf cart for transfer to our room and flew off of the cart. Our non smoking room smelled awfully of smoke and had ants in it.. We called for shaving cream and too the paste - were told ok and never saw either and on top of that a rip offffffffff!!! Local beer is 40-70thb so I expected it to be a not more but more than 50% ???? They charge 150thb !! And beware same of tours -- u can go straight into town with a pamphlet from the hotel and spend 600-1000thb less per person. Again I've stayed at many Westins but this was awful and we spoke to the manager and were just apologized too! April 4, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful, Private, and Quiet Westin Siray Bay is a wonderful resort. The staff are very polite and always helpful. The restaurants offer wonderful cuisine, and the multiple pools are very nice. April 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful Views and five-star Comfort Highly recommend staying at the Westin if you are in Phuket. Lovely food and views, as well as the spa. The only downside was the not so clear water on the beach. May 11, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Good perks for Platinum We confirmed an upgrade to a standard suite before we arrived ( paying an up charge), and did get another upgrade to an even better suite. When we arrived 3pm the suite was not ready, but we got a standard room for use till the suite was ready. While this is nice, the normal check-in time was 4 pm and latest by then the suite should have been ready. Upon check-in we were informed about the benefits of SPG Platinum, which were an cocktail hour at one poolside bar (as they do not have an executive club) and free ABF. Very nice. The hotel itself is quite far away from everything. Basically just one very basic restaurant within walking distance, but for the 3 nights we stayed there the restaurant choice at the hotel was good, especially offering a very nice Christmas eve Thai dinner. The beach is not good at all, but pool are nice on the hill with a nice view. The hotel is on a hill so you gotta walk stairs up and down ( unless u always want to use the buggy). The room itself was nice, but nothing spectacular and obviously the staff was not used to the 2 story suites, so they did not clean the upper part and had to be reminded. January 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great facilities and friendly staff The hotel is amazing and the staff is simply wonderful. The beach is not great but the amenities, staff, food, restaurants, etc.. make up for the location. May 2, 2013
