My family had wonderful experience by staying at Westin Phuket: room upgraded to suite with great view, excellent happy-hour, all staff are kind and helpful.
Everying is perfect, except for the beach, which is not as good as the other ones in Phuket.

We were very happy with our stay at the resort.
The staff were at all times courteous and friendly and the facilities were of a very high standard for the region.
The breakfast buffet was superb and the in resort dining very good in general.

I arrived early and early check-in was possible immediately. everything including staffs, breakfast and correspondence for my request was excellent. I do want to visit here again soon.
Bad thing: they charge 100 baht for one way trip to town.

All things fine, staff members keep on interacting with each other even in guest presence. Seems a little discourteous but not intolerable. Breakfast gets too crowded but quite nice on the food and service part. Nice place good value.

The overall hotel facilities and location were pleasant. However, the buggy vehicle service needs to improve. The waiting times were rather long. On one occasion, I had to wait for close to 30min, and no buggy came. In the end, I walked back from the SPA center back to my hotel room.
I was also extremely disappointed with the coordination over billing matters, between Hotel staff and SPG. Apparently I was billed by SPG prior to my stay in Westin. But when I checked with the Hotel upon my arrival, I was told there was no payment received, and was advised to make full payment again. Even the prior payment charged to my credit card was wrong.
I was shocked when I heard this, and had to spend a Sunday, just staying in the resort to try and resolve this, including calling back SPG Singapore. Quite frankly, my hotel stay was very short, and to spend time resolving this kind of matter is really uncalled for. The stay experience would have been so much better if this was done more professionally in advance!
Hope the hotel and SPG pays attention to the above.

Hotel is built on the side of a steep hill and provides for a differnet type of holiday.
Staff generally firendly, room and view were excellent.
breakfast & food good.

We were stuck in Phuket for the night as we were not able to travel to Phi Phi Island due to the weather and this was a great back-up plan. Could not have been more pleased with the hotel - room, pool, dining and comfort.

Stayed for 6D 5N, SPG surprised as I was upgraded to bigger room with a view.
I really appreciate the extra welcome service.
I enjoyed warm breeze, the peaceful enviroment that is so rare nowadays at any popular resort .

I was here for a corporate event, which was flawlessly organized. The conference facilities are very good and the internet very fast. Food and beverage is outstanding but with one disappointment: the coffee at the breakfast buffet is terrible. Maybe they put too much coffee in the caffetiere, I don't know. The coffee that is brought together with the breakfast in the rooms is excellent, however. So I am not sure what is going on there. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. I had one problem though that they were renovating the room above me: after complaining they stopped. When I moved to the Sala pool villa I of course did not have that problem anymore. However, annoyingly on my free Saturday, again renovation sounds were coming from one of the rooms and sound of the worst kind: cutting tiles... The management should not allow stone and tile cutting to be done within hotel premises. Measurements can be taken and stone cut outside of the premises. Apart from the above gripes I still think this is an excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Everything excellent: staff + hotel room + food + services + quiet place + proximity of pier.
The only drawback would be maybe the quality of the sea water, not so transparent and blue.

Our stay at this hotel was great. We chose this venue for our anniversary. The hotel was just lovely,furnishings were very tastefully done, our room was fantastic. The rooms are large with big bathrooms, the views were magnificent. The service from all the staff was extraordinare. It was nice to see the General Managers desk situated in the foyer where people often walked past and he was happy to have a chat at anytime. The restaurants were clean and tasteful the food was excellant, and buffet breakfasts had a large range to choose from. We had the most wonderful aromatherapy massage in the spa there - highly recommended .Even though some rooms can be a distance away from the main hotel there is always hotel transport to take you to and from your room. There was hotel transport to the main shopping centres at a minimal fee. The gardens/grounds are impeccably maintained. The hotel is good for singles couples and families. We will definetly be coming back again and recommending this wonderful hotel to all our family and friends. Thankyou to management and staff for a lovely stay.

I really liked the facility - Discovery suites with pool access fro 4 nights, but staff was a bit disappointing considering Westin value.
Overall staff was friendly, but the front desk didn't have enough information which will be helpful for the guests. Here are some of the examples on communication improvement needed area.
1. Kids eat free
With my 3 year old daughter, I got free kids menu from the Seasonal Tastes restaurant. But the disappointing part is that I knew at my day before check-out. Nobody told me about it even though I've informed her age & actually was considering to purchase kids pass. I did complain & they've deducted the shuttle fee, but still very annoyed about the late inform.
2. Help request on pool tube
For my daughter, I brought her own tube to the hotel and need to inject air to use. I've asked where I can get the service, and their answer was they don't have such service. When I asked then whether I can borrow a tube from the hotel, the answer was no again. But when I dropped by the Kid's club the same day, surprisingly they provided both services. Very disappointing on their credibility of information.
Overall, I didn't get good impression on the
front desk. While all other staffs were friendly, the most needed staffs were not so helpful. I do understand the transportation issue of Phuket & less option on restaurant due to low season, but at least the service level needs to be much higher to meet Westin quality.

Overall, Hotel is perfectly nice.
Nice swimming pool and Breakfast restaurant.
But some guide service (Recommendation for tourist was not available) and room cleanliness were less than my expectation.

I am a lifetime plat and have stayed at resorts worldwide. I usually stay once and only return if I am super impressed. This was my Second stay. First stay a year ago was amazing. Second stay right now is bad. Two major pet peeves. Inconsistent housekeeping and a terrible breakfast.
This morning I went to the front desk to check my charges. I told the guy three times the breakfast needs work. He completely ignored me. We are in phuket and this morning we had a fruit choice of grapes and papaya. c'mon son. After our first day we went to the supermarket to buy fruits and instant noodles. As a frequent traveller that is a last resort desperate measure.
Breakfast potatoes and roasted tomatoes were raw. It was saw bad we came back to our room to eat mama noodles. That says a lot.
The spa is massively overpriced. When I get handed twice during a five day stay a 40% discount card that tells me something. Ummmm maybe lower your prices?
This resort is off the beaten track and is great for those who want to getaway. It is beautiful and the rooms are in good shape. The wifi is fast and consistent. The upkeep of the property is top notch. Lots of beautiful fruit trees but sadly the fruit never makes it to the table.
I suggest anyone coming to this region to check out all the comments of other guest experiences before booking. Management at this property needs to wake up. Literally

The layout of the hotel is very beautiful and the facilities are the same. Overall the rooms are very clean but some furniture a bit run down and scratched. Food was very good in all outlets.

I am a SPG member and stay. At the hotels expec Westins quite often. To say this was one of my worst experiences is an understatement
From the moment I walked in- staff was rude and not helpful: - room not ready, no welcome drinks accommodations etc....
Ok so we waited asked for a map- seemed to be inconvenient and then were finally given a Russian map (we speak English) told there were none, and then proceeded I. Our own to ask someone else minutes later and were provided one. Out luggage (fragile) was thrown into a golf cart for transfer to our room and flew off of the cart. Our non smoking room smelled awfully of smoke and had ants in it.. We called for shaving cream and too the paste - were told ok and never saw either and on top of that a rip offffffffff!!! Local beer is 40-70thb so I expected it to be a not more but more than 50% ???? They charge 150thb !! And beware same of tours -- u can go straight into town with a pamphlet from the hotel and spend 600-1000thb less per person.
Again I've stayed at many Westins but this was awful and we spoke to the manager and were just apologized too!

We had a great experience with our 3 nights stay. Well trained and willing staff. Resort is very well maintained and clean. Would love to go back and recommend everyone visiting Phuket.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the Westin Siray Bay over the Songkran holiday in a Discovery Suite with Pool access. Our objective was to relax, enjoy the weather, the view, the sunsets and that is exactly what we did, never left the room, so it should be noted that the hotel's public facilities or location play no part in this review.
A Pool access suite means that one can step out of the balcony onto your own private section of a shared pool which extends across in front of 4 rooms. The ocean and sunset views from the balcony and the pool were so great we ended up skipping the Platinum Happy Hour, which did not have much choice in terms of selection, to just watch the sunset from our pool.
Employee's attention was superb, with particular thanks to Mr. Alexander Lopez, Guest Experience Manager, who was proactive in granting our wishes, made sure our stay was memorable and provided outstanding platinum recognition. A forgotten valuable was promptly returned by the Service Express staff after we checked out and we are grateful for it. Special thanks to the cleaning ladies as well who were so sweet, efficient and attentive, we loved all of them.
Overall a very nice stay, cannot wait to return.

Found snake, huge spider around the villa compound.
Tiles at pool are peeling off pieces by pieces.

I stayed 3 nights for my short vacation. Room was clean and spacious, staff seemed friendly and polite, and breakfast was very nice.
Everything seems excellent until the last night of stay when there was water leakage from the ceiling. I called the front desk to report about it and was told to wait for engineer. 20 mins later, I called again because nobody showed up. The lady again told me to wait in the room. Another 20 mins later I called again to ask how long should I wait. It was after more than one hour when finally one engineer showed up. The front desk lady should have told me how long does it take for them to arrange an engineer. It was such a waste of time just waiting for someone to fix the leakage while I needed to go out and buy some medicine for my husband who were suffering from fever.
Another hiccup was when I went to join the Pilates exercise session in morning, no one showed up. I waited for instructor in the right place for 15 mins. I checked the night before that I do not need any reservation to take a class so went to the front desk but no one knew what had happened and just replied they needed to check.

We confirmed an upgrade to a standard suite before we arrived ( paying an up charge), and did get another upgrade to an even better suite. When we arrived 3pm the suite was not ready, but we got a standard room for use till the suite was ready. While this is nice, the normal check-in time was 4 pm and latest by then the suite should have been ready.
Upon check-in we were informed about the benefits of SPG Platinum, which were an cocktail hour at one poolside bar (as they do not have an executive club) and free ABF. Very nice.
The hotel itself is quite far away from everything. Basically just one very basic restaurant within walking distance, but for the 3 nights we stayed there the restaurant choice at the hotel was good, especially offering a very nice Christmas eve Thai dinner.
The beach is not good at all, but pool are nice on the hill with a nice view. The hotel is on a hill so you gotta walk stairs up and down ( unless u always want to use the buggy).
The room itself was nice, but nothing spectacular and obviously the staff was not used to the 2 story suites, so they did not clean the upper part and had to be reminded.
