Rated 5 out of 5 by WineAdvisoryGroup St. Regis Mauritius... Redefining Paradise
In 30 years of traveling I have never experienced a welcome like I did when I arrived with my family... and that level of gracious hospitality and fabulous service has continued throughout our stay. The setting, the rooms, the restaurants, the spa... everything about the hotel is magical... a place of dreams.
When I try to think of describing what it's like here I fall short... details seem trivial. So hard to capture the feeling here in words... so forgive me, for specifics look to other reviews.
If you're looking for a place to relax, be pampered, recharge, or just escape reality... the St. Regis Mauritius is the perfect place. The only problem? Like me... you'll never want to leave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SarahRene Perfect stay, wonderful resort
We had a really great time during our two weeks stay at the resort, which is quite likely located in one of the most beautiful places of the island.
All our expectations were exceeded - our room had a wonderful view on the ocean, service was divine in all respects, the variety and quality of food and beverages was always outstanding, the music acts at the 1904 bar were superb.
Concierge-Service was a remarkable assistance in planning our trips around the island.
Finally, we want to say a special thank you to Kishan, Priscilla, Big G, amongst many others, not to forget the private pool staff, that made our stay even more enjoyable!
We wish you all the best and hope to come back to Le Morne real soon!
Warm regards from Germany,
Sarah & René

Rated 4 out of 5 by NewMrsE Great Hotel with some room for improvement
The St Regis Mauritius is a beautifully property that has impeccable landscaping, a beautiful pool and wonderful restaurants. We made the hotel the final stop on our honeymoon and enjoyed three days relaxing at the pool and on our amazing private terrace. I was a little disappointed, however, that the hotel didn't really do anything special for our honeymoon. I don't generally expect anything for free, but the three other hotels we stayed at during the trip all recognized it in some way, whether with a bottle of wine or champagne, a little welcome gift, etc. We booked a romantic (and quite expensive) private dinner on the hotel jetty, which would have been an excellent way for the hotel to acknowledge our special occasion with something as small as a complimentary glass of champagne. To be fair, our butler put some rose petals on our bed that eventing, but coming off of other hotels doing a little more, I have to say that this left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Some other thoughts:
- Room was lovely and the breakfast was fabulous!
- Spa was great. I really enjoyed my treatment there.
- We ate at the Floating Market, Le Manoir and our private dinner (chef was wonderful about customizing a menu for us) - all excellent
- For a luxury hotel (and a new one at that), the towels and robes in the rooms didn't meet expectations. They were thin, pilled and often stained.
- The staff was wonderful about making us aware of options and helping us book things prior to our trip. It would have been helpful to have all of the dinners/activities we discussed in the months leading up to the trip printed out an in our room upon arrival.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience with just a few things we thought could be improved upon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rico27 Paradise found!
Everyone at this luxurious and sophisticated beach resort took a genuine interest in our well being and made us feel very welcome from the start, from Rocco the GM through to the front desk staff including Sandrine, manager Kriss, butlers Amar & Avi, all the way to the buggy drivers, room service delivery guy (who's name I forgot but who was excellent) and cleaning & maintenance staff, we were always greeted warmly and sincerely. Stéphane the chef welcomed our feedback and the breakfast team were always friendly and happy to meet our every need! Stephánia at breakfast custom-blended any fresh fruit and veg into the juice we wanted and put a smile on our faces with her warm and bubbly personality. Others such as Vikram made sure things ran smoothly by swiftly & professionally dealing with any request we had, and at times even reading our needs. The resort has its own cinema privé showing the latest movies in comfortable lazyboy leather reclining seats! This was such a treat! Thanks to Jonathan who ran it and took care of us! There is also a fully stocked library, beach water-sports facilities and much more. Overall I rate it as one of the most memorable St Regis I've had the pleasure to stay at. They manage to offer the exceptional quality and service standards that you would normally expect to only find in an big city urban environment, in a relatively remote, quiet corner of one of the most beautiful subtropical islands in the world. The spiritually & historically significant mountain backdrop of Le Morne Brabant, amazing nature, flora & fauna, the surrounding turquoise waters all provide the most incredible and magical location for this truly world class resort. Can't wait to return one day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Richy76 The only five star to stay at......
We recently got back from the st Regis, As we normally stay on the east coast we heard great things about this hotel. We weren't let down! The service, food and attention to detail is by far the best experienced in mauritius. The kids club by far the best against other hotels in its class, and the facility's first class. Here a some of the highlights., the chefs table amazing experience. The simple India restaurant , first class well omits way to gaining a Michelin star. The Japanese restaurant. You would think that you are in Japan . The dolphins trip is a must and if you have family its a once in life time trip.
The butler service is like no other. Those guys really over deliver. This hotel is young in staff and new to the scene in Maurititus , but we can categorically recommend the st Regis Mauritius. No need to go anywhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sgallian Great Kid's Club, perfect location for kiters and their family
Ideally located resort: very close to La Pointe, where you can launch your kite, and at the same time sheltered from the wind, so other members of the family can enjoy their stay too. Lot of water activities included, though we did not have time to enjoy them, I preferred to go kiteboarding. The kid's club is a lifesaver for those with kid, very well furnished, and great staff who is very skilled with children. Restaurants were good, and every night there was live music (and quite good too!) at the main bar. Had little time to enjoy the beach, but it was really relaxing, with beautiful view. Staff is helpful and friendly. 2nd time we stayed there, and will likely do so again...

Rated 5 out of 5 by WA41 fantastic break
We recently spent a wonderful holiday at the St Regis Mauritius. We have been lucky enough to stay at many of the top hotels in Mauritius but think the St Regis is currently the best on the island due to the staff, the location and the fact that the property is brand new. Two highlights were: the room (a St Regis suite which was huge and had a stunning view) and the food (the meal at the Chef's Table was one of the best we have ever had, Gordon Ramsay et al included). The kids' club and teen room were also excellent. In summary, we could not fault the hotel and would recommend it without hesitation.
